Story
Lottie is a 5 year old Female Australian Cattle Dog and Australian Shepherd mix. She is very high energy and loves to get out and run, hike, and play with other dogs! She got along great with our older male lab before he passed a few years ago and she is great with our two cats. Unfortunately, due to our work schedules and growing family, we need to re-home this great and loving girl to the right family. One that can give her the necessary attention and level of activity that will help her truly thrive. Lottie is a very high energy, working breed that has a lot of stamina to burn. Ideally, her next family will have to have an active lifestyle and/or ample opportunity to spend time outdoors! She is great with other pets in the house but she cannot be in a home with children. Our #1 priority is finding Lottie the best possible home. We will require in-person meetings and significant vetting before we agree to re-home our girl and are not in a rush to do so.

Story
Sweet Ruby Rose is ready to find that human family to keep her active! She loves to hike, walk, run, whatever fun she can have but she does need activity. Her mom is a miniature Australian Shepherd. Her dad or dads are unknown. She is super sweet and loves everyone she meets. She is nine months old, a good size at around 38 pounds and her color is gorgeous. If you think she could be the girl for you, please continue to read our recommendations and procedures and fill out our on line application. RECOMMENDATIONS & PROCEDURES Please note, the following are recommendations for puppies and different breeds of dogs. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. ( we are in Cleveland County NC) Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Story
I am a good girl. I love to go for runs. I am house trained and crate trained. I am leash trained but I do better with a harness cause I love to run and play. I am treat motivated. I know basic commands like sit. I love belly rubs. I am looking for a home with someone who will take me with them to go jogging or running. I would love to have a big back yard fenced in so I could run and play all day if you let me. I am up to date on all shots and medical. If your interested in making me a part of your family. Story
Meet our boy Best Friend Pete!   This handsome boy has a ready smile that says that he wants to be your friend.   Pete is an Aussie mix boy that is one year old and 55 pounds.   He came from a sad home situation where There are too many dogs, cats, farm animals and not enough food to go around to feed them all.  The first year of his life he was tied to a broken down pickup truck bumper and had to crawl under the truck for shelter in the hard clay dirt where with no grass grew. He was so shy and timid when we first brought him to the foster home and he just didn’t know about all these sights and sounds of the outside world that he was experiencing.   He has come to love the time and loving attention and inside comforts of a home. He is a blessed dog that was able to escape a very poor and sad living situation. He has learned about being crate trained, housebreaking, and would be best with a fenced yard.  He needs to be given the time and attention that he deserves and a strong dog leader.   He loves going for car rides.  He is an Aussie mix we think and he is very smart and sensitive to direction from people. We think this handsome boy would be a great running partner, hiking companion and beach comber.  A fenced yard is a must.  If you are interested please step up with an email to us:  Ccrnewengland@gmail.com He is in New England now and ready to move to a new home with a fenced yard.  Pete is a dog that will always appreciate each kind word and love that he gets from a family in the years to come. He will need a strong leader and someone who will show him they are in charge.  He loves running    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 30, 2023, 1:46 pm
