Meet Lumos, a brave and curious male puppy who is friendly, playful, and smart! He is a deaf and visually impaired DM Aussie who made his way from North Carolina to Ohio to find his forever home. Despite his impairments, Lumos is full of life and enthusiasm, always eager to explore and learn about the world around him. He is incredibly smart and responsive to touch commands, and already knows place, come, sit, no and goodboy. Lumos loves to play and bounce around with his toys. Lumos would do best in a home with older children since he might accidentally knock over very young kids with his enthusiastic jumping. He will also need a fenced yard to safely play and explore. Lumos is a true light in the darkness, ready to illuminate the life of his forever family with love and joy. Needs fenced yard: preferred but not necessary. Needs other dogs: she could be an only dog or enjoy a fur sibling Location: Columbus, Ohio Energy level: medium Woof!! I’m Mercedes, a sweet and sassy Lovebug! I’m a 2-3 year old female Mixed breed. I weigh 36 pounds and am the perfect size. I am potty trained, crate trained and good with other animals. It may take me a while to warm up to you but once I do, we can be best friends! I like to follow around my foster mom and sit right next to her, as close as I possibly can and I’m also easily redirected to my bed when she needs some space. I bark at the people and dogs walking by the house but I am very friendly when I meet them on walks and at the dog park. I like playing with all kinds of toys and bones, eating yummy snacks, going for walks and taking a nap. I also love a good game of fetch including bringing the ball right back to you and dropping it at your feet. Before coming to SPEAK I was a stray and needed surgery on my hip after being hit by a car. I am much happier now that I have healed can run around. I will need some hikes and runs at the park to continue to progress and build muscle in my back leg and some patience to work on my confidence. I promise it will be worth it! Murphy looks more like pure Aussie than his brother, but he may still be mixed. We'd love Murphy and Mack to be adopted together. Mack came in with his brother Murphy. Both are sweet, loving, mid- to high-energy boys. Mack has been just about the sweetest boy ever from moment one—extremely affectionate and just loves giving you big Mack hugs. He loves when you let him be a Velcro dog, but don’t get the wrong idea—when you need your own space, he is very good about not being pushy about it. Mack’s brother Murphy looks more like pure Aussie, but we’re pretty sure that’s Mack’s mix as well. We'd love Mack and Murphy to be adopted together. This precious little princess has been hand raised since birth. She and her mom ( Aussie mix ) have been in a loving foster home in Memphis Tn since the day she was born. Pixie is very sweet. Well socialized . Loving. Curious. Typical puppy. She is kennel trained ( with a sibling ) and does well with children and all other dogs . Once adopted, Pixie will transport with Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family ( additional $185).
