Jake the Great is finally here! This animated boy is 3 years old, a tall 55-lbs, and enjoys nothing more than some playtime, long walks, and cuddles on the sofa. Jake did not get off to a great start in life, and by no fault of his own ended up at a Scioto County shelter before being scooped up by PAWS. He is ready for his big break with his forever family. He has no known health issues and has been quick to learn how to be alone in the house when his foster parents are out and about. House trained, learning how leashes and walks work, but maybe a little impatient with dinner, Jake has matured into a more confident gentleman. He is good with cats and dogs and especially appreciates having somebody that can help him work through some of his boundless energy. His next family should be ready to be patient with the goofball. He needs daily exercise and has trouble walking across smooth hardwood floors with his giraffe-like legs. Jake is available to meet and greet at the many PAWS events!  Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start February 16, 2026, 9:16 am

Unfortunately things have taken a turn and we are in a position where we have to rehome this little guy. he is a very hyper boy and will need as much space as possible. All recent shots have been given and dewormers. We will provide the crate and some toys and bowls..we’d prefer him to go somewhere with alot of space or just someone that can give him a lot of time and training for his energy level

Murphy started out more independent than his brother and still probably is a bit, but he also seeks out attention from time to time and can be very affectionate. Murphy looks more like pure Aussie than his brother, but he may still be mixed. We'd love Murphy and Mack to be adopted together. Mack came in with his brother Murphy. Both are sweet, loving, mid- to high-energy boys. Mack has been just about the sweetest boy ever from moment one—extremely affectionate and just loves giving you big Mack hugs. He loves when you let him be a Velcro dog, but don’t get the wrong idea—when you need your own space, he is very good about not being pushy about it. Mack’s brother Murphy looks more like pure Aussie, but we’re pretty sure that’s Mack’s mix as well. We'd love Mack and Murphy to be adopted together. They were dumped in rural Mississippi and found by a caring FedEx driver as they huddled on a trash pile on the side of the road. Now they have learned to trust people and love to play and snuggle. They will be ready for forever homes after 3/6. They are located in Memphis, but can be transported to the Midwest, Colorado and the Northeast for an additional fee.
