He is up to date on shots, but isn’t neutered or on heartworm prevention. Oreo is nervous around strangers. He barks at them at first, but warms up after a while. He has only been around one other dog. They run and play for a while, but then he prefers to be by himself. He hasn’t been tested around kids or cats. The owner is surrendering him because they separated from their partner. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! Finnegan is a sweet boy - well behaved - yet, will be shy at first with new people, but not aggressively so. He always seems to enjoy children & other dogs. Finn has lived with cats in the past & was fine with them, although would not overly interact with them - except to sniff them briefly, as they might walk by. Unfortunately, he has had seizures in the past & now is given meds that have seemed to help greatly! Health concerns are not my reason for giving him up - 'it breaks my heart, to do so' - however, so many places to live at will not allow for pets/dogs especially. Finn has good energy for 10+ years - he's actually at a pretty perfect stage, right now, behavior wise. Even, his potty habits are great, really! Enjoys car rides & he gets around with no problems - and will interact with you, as you interact with him.

Posted 7/21/2023 Honey was aquired from another rescue.  She is extremely shy but does warm up but she will need a lot of one on one work.  I believe with the amount of progress she has made so far she just needs confidence and help to be as great as I know she can be.  Because she is so spooky she requires a fenced yard.  She has been perfectly housetrained here and wonderful in the crate.  Since she is a bit backward she will not eat or drink on front of people, and she will stay by a door knowing that is her way to bolt.  She is NOT snappy,  but will allow you to hug her.  I will not place her with any children since she does need work and she needs to be the center of attention to get her over the hump.  She has had a dental and bloodwork.  She is about 4-5 years old does require grooming  and her adoption fee is $350.  All the dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked.
