Meet Shawna! 🖤 This girl is pure sunshine wrapped in fur — just look at that smile! Her sweet, expressive eyes and happy-go-lucky grin could melt even the coldest heart. Shawna’s the kind of dog who makes every day brighter just by being in it. She’s a 1-year-old Border Collie/Heeler mix who’s super affectionate, snuggly, and will flash that irresistible grin the moment you rub her belly. Shawna is playful and full of fun, puppy energy. She does great on leash and in the car, making her the perfect little adventure buddy. She’s friendly and loves kids and other dogs, though she’ll need a feline-free home as her instincts may lead her to chase them. Smart as can be, Shawna is already housebroken and eager to please. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever family — one that loves smiles, snuggles, and spontaneous tail wags as much as she does. 💕 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Story
Absolutely sweetest boy ever! So gentle all he needs is love and a family with time to play with him and give him the attention he deserves. Pharoah is 4 years old and very healthy. He is active and love runs and walks. Unfortunately, with our busy schedules and many out of town days with new work we can not give him attention he deserves. Weird and beautiful thing is he does NOT bark to anything - only when he wants us to let him back in the house after he does his business outdoors. He will be your best friend- we wish we could give home what he needs.

Story
Peeta is an adorable young guy full of personality! We think he is a collie mix and is around 1-1.5 years old. He has been getting TLC in his foster home and putting on some needed lbs. He is currently weighs 26lbs.    Peeta is so happy to be out of the shelter and get snuggle and cuddle time! He also loves playing with other dogs. He’s very smart and is doing well with potty training, sitting and coming when called. Sometimes his brain gets him into a little trouble when bored and he will find fun things that don’t belong to him. He would love a home where he gets plenty of exercise. He is good on a  leash but does pull some, as do most dogs with little to no training yet.    This spunky, fun and sweet boy is overdue for finding a loving forever family! If you are interested in Peeta please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com.    (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 1, 2025, 8:06 pm

Story
Meet Penelope! This 5-year-old Heeler/Terrier mix has one of the sweetest, most endearing faces you’ll ever see — complete with a perfectly imperfect little smile that could melt anyone’s heart. Her grin might be a bit crooked (her vet thinks she may have had an old injury), but it just adds to her charm and never slows her down. She’s happy, healthy, and full of love to give. Penelope is gentle, well behaved, snuggly, and affectionate — the kind of dog who leans into you for pets and makes you feel instantly at peace. She’s a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’ll be your most loyal companion and biggest cuddle buddy. She’s very social and does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs. She’s also a smart girl who’s both crate trained and house trained. Penelope is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find her forever family — one that will appreciate her beautiful smile and even more beautiful heart.

Story
Meet April, a charming 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who is ready to steal your heart! 🐶😍 With her beautiful coat and bright, expressive eyes, April is not just a pretty face; she’s a bundle of love and affection. Her favorite pastime? Giving warm, heartfelt hugs that will make you feel cherished and adored. April is full of playful energy, making her an ideal companion for an active family or another lively dog. She loves to engage in fun activities, whether it’s chasing after a ball in the backyard, going for long walks, or simply enjoying playtime with her furry friends. Her intelligence shines through as she quickly adapts and learns, and she’s already house trained, which means she’ll settle into her new home with ease. This sweet girl has a special affinity for male dogs, and she enjoys their company immensely, and she does great with children. However, she would thrive best in a feline-free environment, allowing her to focus on forming strong bonds with her human and canine companions. April is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, ensuring she’s healthy and ready to embark on her new journey with a loving family. April is not just looking for a place to stay; she’s searching for a forever home where she can truly belong. If you’re an active household ready to provide a nurturing environment filled with love, adventure, and plenty of cuddles, April would be the perfect addition to your family ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such.
