Story
To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html Meet Bully, a charming canine companion weighing in at around 35-40 pounds and believed to be around 2-3 years old. Rescued from the shelter, he's eagerly awaiting his forever family to help him adjust to the good life he deserves. While Bully seems to coexist peacefully with non-reactive dogs, being an only furry child would be his ideal living situation. With his suspected French and Bully breed mix, he's the perfect medium-sized pup. Bully is a blank canvas, ready to soak up love and basic training from his new family. Daily walks and interactions with the world would be a treat for this curious explorer, whose tail wags at the sight of squirrels and new adventures. Open your heart and home to Bully, and he'll repay you with unwavering loyalty and companionship.

Story
To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html Hi, I'm Elle and I'm 6 years and weigh 50 lbs. I love to snuggle on your lap and lay around most of my days, but I will follow you wherever you go. Even to the bathroom just to make sure you are safe. I will also let you know when there are dangerous sounds so you can say I'm pretty much a good security guard, but my foster mama says I'm quiet most of the time. I'm good with older kids, and love to play and wrestle with them. I'm also good with most cats. I do have some allergies that require me to take medication, but for the most part I'm a healthy girl. I love going for car rides and especially love those pup cups. I love to lay in the sun and bask in the heat from a good fireplace. I like to go for walks, just not long ones. If you think I would be a great fit for your family, I would love to find my forever home.

Story
To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html Hi, my name is Emerald and I'm 47 lbs. of cuddly sweetness once I know I can trust you. I'm a 4-year-old EB mix and my foster mom calls me "sweet girl". I'm crate trained but would rather spend my time with my humans rather than be in my crate too often. I'm completely potty trained and haven't had an accident yet. However, if I get really stressed out, such as a trip to the doggy Dr, I stress poo and need to go RIGHT NOW, but you'll know I'm stressed before it happens!! I spent a lot of time in my crate in my last home, so I haven't been socialized and am learning how to interact with strangers and other animals. I also wasn't leash trained, but my foster mom got me a snazzy new harness and we go on walks every day. I am still very scared and reactive to all of the new sounds and people/animals in the world, so my foster mom has been teaching me how to "leave it and sit." When I get overwhelmed while we're out and about, this prompts me to sit down for a treat (she keeps a stash in her pocket) and this distracts me from what spooked me. I'm very sensitive to "stranger danger" and fear strangers, so I need slow introductions in a safe space, but the people I've met so far have won me over eventually (treats are a good icebreaker). However, I do get very protective of my home and human, so when someone comes to the door, I let them know I'm the great protector of this home. I have some skin issues that my foster mom is helping me with, but they won't stop me from becoming adoptable! I'm very good at bath time and play statue until I'm told it's ok to jump out. As is normal for a bulldog, I will need a limited diet and regular maintenance to keep my skin allergies under control, other than that, I'm recently spayed and healthy! I am so eager to please you once I know I can trust you, and I get hurt feelings and pout when my foster mom scolds me. I love to wiggle my butt and cuddle, I LOVE to play with my toys and chew my bones, and I like to stick my nose into everything my foster mom is doing in case she needs my assistance. I will do best in a child-free home as I get stressed out with the little ones. I will do best as the only animal and queen of my castle so hopefully you don't have any dogs or cats. My foster mom has gotten quite smitten with me; she tells me how smart I am and calls me "silly girl" when I get frisky with my toys and toss them around then chase them. I can entertain myself with my toys and then I'm ready for a nice long nap, preferably on the couch with you, or in my bed on the floor near you. Because I still need work with socialization and acclimating to the scary busy world around me, I would do best with someone that has dog experience and can be VERY patient with me while I blossom and continually learn to trust humans. My foster mom says I have LOTS of potential and l have sooooo much love to give to the right home. So, if you think you could be patient with me and my needs and love me unconditionally, I would be sooooo happy to meet you and find my Furever best human and home. I think I could be your best little cuddle buddy if you take a chance on me, and I'll show you how well I can toss my own toys then chase after them!

Story
To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html SSSB ALERT!!! (Super Sweet Special Boy): Hulk is a lovebug! He is a 3-year-old, 75lb. Old English Bulldog. Don't let his unique look fool you. He is all bulldog! Allergies, skin issues. The good news? We know what he is allergic to. We even have diet suggestions that will help going forward. In the past year, Hulk has undergone two major types of surgeries. Both knees, and both eyes! Currently, Hulk has a bit of weakness in his hind legs (but don't tell him) and needs compounding eye drops for both eyes, 2x daily. Even though Hulk is super sweet, we recommend that he goes to a household that has owned a bulldog previously or has older kids. He is strong and can unknowingly knock you over. He is a happy, energetic boy, who wants to be part of it all. Mostly, ALL of your lap! He currently is living with a small dog and a dog savvy cat. He can be triggered by dogs his size or larger, slow, monitored introductions would be recommended. Good with kids - ages 10 and up suggested. He would thrive having other animals in his living situation but would also love to be the only SSSB! Do you have room for this "lapdog" in your life?

Story
To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html My name is Lola and I want to be your best friend. My perfect home would be a calm and relaxed one without a lot of chaos, as I get scared easily and have anxiety around new situations and people. My people would be home as much as possible, and I should be the only queen in my castle as I don't care for other dogs. I am fine with stairs and will go potty outside and come right back in. I am also great at being in my crate when I need to rest. I am not an explorer, but I want to be near my people as much as possible. I'm cuddly and weigh 35 pounds, so the perfect size to be in your lap. I sometimes get anxious, and it is good to have lots of chew toys for me to sink my teeth into because I will chew on things when my anxiety gets the best of me. I take medication for my anxiety when I need it. I walk great on a leash for short walks and love car rides. I don't like loud noises that catch me off guard. I'm a lovebug who knows my forever family will enjoy my gentle demeanor and loving loyalty.

To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html Hi, my name is Loosey and I'm a vibrant, curious young lady. I am very interested in learning about everything like what is in the refrigerator, what my foster mom is cooking, what we are doing in the laundry room, what essential oils are with the new smells, where we are going in the car, and what I will see on my next walk. I just love walking and being with my human, who can share new experiences with me. I am very smart, quick to learn new routines, and I love being with my person. I am adaptable, too! I'm equal parts love, fun, joy, energy, determination, and zen! I am looking for my forever home where I will be the only dog who will bring you heaps of joy! Stay tuned for more updates to come, and if I sound like the apple of your eye ???, please fill out an application. With love, Loosey

Story
Animal Profile:  Penny is a 14-month-old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable underbite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality.  Adopter Profile:  Single family residence required Secure fenced yard preferred Large breed experience required Bully breed experience preferred Other balanced dogs, dog-savvy cats, and older children considered on case by case basis Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. She has since been evaluated and fostered in a DGS foster home. She is currently available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.  May 9, 2024, 10:10 am

FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT: Meet Twix! He is an adorable 12-week-old Bulldog mix. He is sweet and playful and your typical puppy! Since he is still a puppy, he will need a forever home that has an area to frequently take him out for potty breaks and will be committed to obedience training and everything that a puppy needs. He loves other dogs and would love to be in a home with another dog to help show him the ropes as he grows up, or a home that has other dogs in their friend/family circle for him to socialize with. Twix is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped prior to his adoption. His adoption fee is $550.

OUR CONTACT IS THROUGH FACEBOOK MESSENGER. https://www.facebook.com/REDRescueEveryDog/ Meet Loverboy, affectionately known as LB! (Estimated DOB 2019/2020, estimated weight 60lbs ) LB is a total favorite with us. He is incredibly smart, and has learned many things while with us, such as sit, to walk through and under legs when directed, around, to let you walk around him while sitting, stay, come, wait, to catch treats, and more. He is phenomenal and learns quickly. He loves people, and wants to spend all the time he can with you. He is great about going out to go potty, and comes back in right after if you let him. He crates well. He gets along with other dogs, but like many of his breed, he isn't every dog's cup of tea. He will need a home without cats. We adore him and will be looking for a capable home with time to dedicate to making him the best that he can be. This dog requires a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  There is information you need to know about this dog before applying for adoption so please read his entire profile on our website www.collarofhope.org  BENTLY WOULD DO BEST AS AN ONLY PET.  HE NEEDS A SPECIAL DIET.   Bently came from a local shelter but we did get a lot of info on his past.  He was with his Mom but she passed away.  During that time, he did escape once and a dark-skinned man beat him unmercifully, even dislocating his shoulder, so understandably, he doesn't do well with darker skinned people now.  After his Mom passed, family took him in.  Observing some things at the shelter, they contacted the family with questions and they admitted that they and the kids teased him horribly with toys and food as well as hit him.  He was super hand shy when we got him and would cower when you went to pet and love on him.  He soon realized that it was nothing but kindness for him now.  Eventually, we saw his resource guarding from being teased and tormented when he tried to take a young dogs treat (the pup was crated with food, a bully stick and toys).  This can take some concerted effort to turn around in the right hands. Without these things around, he's a very friendly and loving boy even playing well and hanging out with some of the other dogs we've had him with.  It's probably best if he's the only dog in the home so there is no chance for altercation over food, treats or toys.   He's only 2 years old and has had a pretty crappy life so it's our goal to insure he's placed in the right home, so he's well loved, taken care of and happy for the rest of his life!   He is also allergic to both chicken and beef as well as grains (which no dogs should be fed).  It's easy to find single protein foods for him.  He's currently doing well on the Natures Domain Turkey from Costco.   If you think you can give this gorgeous boy a wonderful life and home, please submit our adoption application to get the process started!      Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 8, 2024, 5:27 pm

Story
To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit http://www.bulldoghavennw.org/10_apply.html I'm a cuddly pup who craves a tranquil abode, where our time together is spent snuggling and taking brief strolls, just long enough for me to do my business before scurrying back to the comfort of home. A calm environment is essential, as loud noises or boisterous companions leave me trembling with anxiety. Older children who understand my need for serenity would be a perfect fit. While I'm happy to coexist with non-reactive dogs, maintaining separate toys and food bowls is ideal. With patience and understanding, I'll be your devoted companion, thriving in a peaceful oasis tailored to my gentle nature.

I like to visit him when he's getting some play time, and he'll run right up to me, lean into me and give me face kisses with that long nose of his. It always feels like he wants to see me and doesn't want me to leave."Bobby is ready to find his best friend! This handsome 7-year-old is eager to charm you, woo you, and be your shadow through it all.
