Story
Meet Dharma! Dharma is a rescue estimated to be about 8.5 years. Not much is known about her previous life except that she spent most of her early years being used for breeding at a puppy mill. She has been with me for just over 3 months. Unfortunately, some unexpected life events happened and I moved and started a new job, so I can no longer give Dharma the attention she deserves. Dharma is very friendly. She has no problems around other dogs in the park or kids. When my 14 month old niece comes over, Dharma is very gentle. Also, a quiet dog, but she will bark and chase squirrels. Otherwise, she is pretty good on a leash. She has never shared a home with cats, but she has never chased or barked at the neighborhood cats she sees on her walks! Dharma does well in a crate and for the most part is good in the house but could use some help. She will have the occasional accident in the house, but never in the crate. Active dog, and would do well with a yard and regular attention.

Story
**Meet Dolly - Your Adventure-Seeking Beagle Companion!** Dolly is a delightful beagle with a nose for adventure and a heart full of love, looking for her forever home. She arrived alongside her buddy Dylan, although they're not bonded, and she's ready to find a family to call her own. With her beagle nose leading the way, Dolly adores exploring the world around her, sometimes even showcasing her army crawling skills during outdoor walks as she follows captivating scents. Her friendly and outgoing nature makes her a joy to be around, always eager to meet new friends and greet everyone with a wagging tail. While adjusting to shelter life, Dolly can be a bit uncertain at times and may alert others if she spots a furry friend nearby. However, her love for other dogs is evident, as she arrived with Dylan and seemed to enjoy their time together. Originally found roaming around Kentucky with Dylan, Dolly spent some time in foster care, where her playful spirit and love for digging blossomed. If you're ready for gardening adventures and fun-filled escapades, Dolly is the perfect companion to join you on these exciting journeys. Due to her enthusiasm for canine companionship, a meet-and-greet with other dogs in the home is required before Dolly can be adopted, ensuring a harmonious environment for everyone involved. If you're searching for a sweet, playful, and affectionate beagle to add joy and laughter to your life, Dolly is eagerly waiting to become your loyal and loving furry family member. Adopt Dolly today and embark on countless adventures together!

Story
Cocoa is in a foster home. To meet her text Rachael at 440-773-0270 Meet Cocoa, a gentle soul who's ready to find her forever home after a difficult journey. Cocoa's previous owner passed away unexpectedly, leaving her in need of a new loving family to call her own. Despite the challenges she's faced, Cocoa's resilient spirit shines through. While she prefers to be the only dog in a home, Cocoa has a special fondness for children. Around kids, she transforms into a calm and attentive companion, content to sit and watch them play. Her calm demeanor extends indoors, where she's well-behaved and never destructive when left alone. Cocoa is house-trained and even knows the sit command, showcasing her intelligence and eagerness to please. Although she's good on the lead outside, Cocoa could benefit from some additional leash training to feel more comfortable. But don't let that deter you; underneath her initial hesitation, Cocoa is incredibly sweet and loving. With patience, understanding, and lots of love, Cocoa is sure to blossom into the perfect furry family member for those willing to open their hearts to her. Please note a meet and greet with any dogs living in your home is required before adoption.

Story
Smokey is a sweet, loving, fun 4 year old beagle. I got him at 9 months old from a private breeder who used him for rabbit hunting competitions. He much prefers to be a house pet, but loves to be outside whether it's walking or basking in the sun! He's a wonderful companion and always up for adventures! He enjoys car rides, hikes in the woods, boat rides, and snuggling! He does require an owner who is attentive and active. He hasn't been around other animals much and does get anxiety when approached.

Story
Bandit is one fun pup. Bandit is a 7-year-old beagle/poodle mix that weighs 20 pounds. His DOB is 12-14-16. Bandit came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. This little fun sized nugget has a medium to high energy level. He may have a little grey in his muzzle but don’t let that fool you. Bandit is ready for any and all adventures. He is lovable and enjoys being around everyone. He is a fan of car rides and playing with toys. He has done well with children of all ages. Bandit has lived harmoniously with a cat that hated him. He has also been around other dogs and done well with them. No apartments please. As always, a meet and greet with your dog must be done to make sure everyone gets along. The previous owner reports that Bandit was allowed free run of the house with no issues. Please note that Bandit needs someone that will help him with housetraining. Ideally someone home to work with him. He will be neutered on 5-21 which we do think will help him. Bandit is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes his vetting which includes vaccines, neuter, and heartworm testing. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Bandit. His adoption fee is $85. Bandit is an amazing dog looking for an amazing home that will continue to spoil him.           Like Parma Animal Shelter on FACEBOOK and help pass the word about our adoptable guests!  Don't forget to share pictures with your friends!  Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/ParmaAnimalShel   Submit an application to adopt on our website parmashelter.org           May 11, 2024, 7:58 pm

Story
Hello! I’m Wendy, and I'm a medium-sized Hound mix looking for a family who will play and snuggle with me. I came to MBR at the end of February after being in a shelter in Southern Ohio. I’m glad they saved me when they did, because I was incredibly weak, frail, and heavily pregnant. One week later, I gave birth to 4 puppies! I’m very well behaved – I am house trained, crate trained, walk well on a leash, and get along with other dogs and kids. The only thing I need to work on is a bit of resource guarding. A fun fact about me, I only have 3 paws! Since I’m missing a paw from my back leg, I can only go on short walks. Other things I love: cuddles, car rides, peanut butter treats, and cuddles… Did I mention I love cuddles? Overall, I am a happy girl, and will surely fall in love with you when we meet! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 1-2 years Adoption fee: $400
