KAIRI is a 8 year old good girl from Missouri. Gentle and sweet she loves to hike, run, play and cuddle. She's most comfortable around lots of family and with plenty of playmates. Great for home security as she did inherit a beagle bark. Favorite toy? Balloons!! Unfortunately our family is moving somewhere we can't bring her, but maybe she can find a home in your heart?

About a month ago, I adopted Rusty from the Richland County Adoption Center. He had been there about a week, and was calm and relaxed as other dogs were barking like crazy. At home, Rusty is happy to lounge and cuddle, or chase a ball. He has only barked when seeing a deer or coyote outside. Rusty has not shown any growling or aggressive behavior. Rusty is 3 years old, so a young adult. He had not gotten much training, but wants to learn. Rusty is house trained, knows his name, will come, sit and is good with his crate, but benefits from reminder training. I adore my current beagle, but he is 12 years old. I will be wrecked when he goes, so thought I should overlap dogs. I pamper my current dog, but was surprised by how jealous he is of Rusty. I introduced Rusty slowly, and thought it was going well, but my current dog will growl and snap at Rusty at random times. As near as I can tell, Rusty has not done anything to bring this on. He is a very sweet dog.

Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Meet Dotty! Dotty is a 25lb, 2-3 year old mix breed. Given her petite size, we do believe she is mostly beagle of some sort. Dotty is an “easy keeper” at our shelter. She gets along with her shelter dog friends and is pretty low key and happy go lucky! Dotty would be fine with children but has not met cats. As always, shelter dogs need a refresher course in housetraining once they get to their new home. Dotty is crate trained. Her adoption fee is $350. All Paws and Prayers animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention.  Adoption fees also include the pet's spay/neuter and microchipping.  The first step in the adoption process is to complete a no-obligation adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.org.     March 24, 2026, 10:33 pm
