Story
Meet Tucker! Tucker is a 1-year-old, 35-pound male Beagle who’s ready to find his forever home! He’s fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Tucker is a happy-go-lucky guy who loves playing with dogs of all sizes and simply enjoying life. He’s doing great with both house and crate training and is eager to continue learning in a loving home. Could you be the one to give Tucker the forever family he deserves? If you are interested in adopting Tucker, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  June 17, 2025, 4:17 pm

Story
Meet Gabriella! This adorable 16-week-old Beagle mix (of something extra cute!) weighs around 20 pounds and is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Gabriella is new to the rescue and still figuring out the world around her. She may be a little shy at first, but she truly wants love and affection—just give her a gentle pat and you'll see her tail wag. We don’t believe Gabriella has had much experience living indoors, so she’s just beginning her journey with house and crate training. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, Gabriella is sure to blossom into a loyal, loving companion. She’ll make a wonderful addition to any family willing to give her the chance she deserves! If you are interested in adopting Gabriella, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. Story
Looking for a pup who is equal parts snuggler and playful explorer? Maui might just be your perfect match! Maui is a sweet little hound mix with a heart as big as his floppy ears. He is around 12 weeks old and weighs just 12 lbs. He is the ideal size for both couch cuddles and backyard romps. He loves curling up on a comfy dog bed after a play session with his favorite toys or a joyful zoom around the yard. This smart boy is crate trained and sleeps through the night like a champ. He is still working on house training, but he is making great progress with consistency and patience. Leash training is next on his puppy checklist, but with his eager-to-please attitude, he is taking it all in stride. Maui gets along well with other dogs and is gentle around little humans. He has not met any cats yet, so we are not sure how he feels about feline friends. At the end of a playful day, Maui’s  favorite place is curled up in your lap, soaking up your love. He is a sweet, happy pup who is ready to be your loyal little shadow.   Maui is ready to find his forever family. Could it be you?   If you are interested in adopting Maui, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. If interested in adopting please email: soniabows@yahoo.com-Good with kids-House trained. Will go to the door when she needs to go out. -Knows: Sit, No, Come, Wait, Drop, Down, Gently (for taking treats)-Will get the “zoomies” after her walk and roll around on her back and in circles. -Is very anxious to greet other dogs. Will appear to lunge, but if given the chance to sniff the other dog, she’ll calm and continue walking. -needs an active household for her energy! We currently walk about 4miles a day with lots of extra indoor playtime. -loves to lay in the sun outside. -likes to play fetch. -will need leash training. She has better leash behavior when using a Gentle Leader. -Shelter said she wouldn’t eat chicken/rice food so have been feeding her a salmon/beef and she loves it. -Will dart after birds if not given the command to “Wait”. -She is very treat-motivated. When she hears, “Good girl!” she sits and looks for a treat reward. -Jersey will also need to be trained not to “nip” when playing. -crate-trained
