Story
Please help me to rehome our Beaglemix Artemis. She was born in March of 2019 and belonged to our son. She grew up in our loving home and when my son married 3 years ago, he couldn’t take her with him so he became ours. She was raised with 3 other dogs inside the home but in the last two years she has not gotten along with the older female she was raised with so we kept them separated. This past week out of the blue she attacked our other male dog. We can no longer keep her around the others. We tried hormones and separation but these have not worked. She is super sweet and loving to people. Always wants love. She is very energetic and playful but also likes to snuggle. I want to make sure she goes to a great home. She is really a sweetheart and decently obedient trained. She knows the basic commands.

Story
Meet Legba! Looking for a walking buddy, loyal companion, and part-time neighborhood watchman all rolled into one? Meet Legba! Legba is a 7-year-old Beagle mix who currently weighs 52 pounds and is proving that seven is just a number! This sweet boy is active when he's out and about, loves going for walks, enjoys exploring, and does great with other dogs. Legba is also on a weight-loss journey and absolutely crushing it! He's already lost 5 pounds and is well on his way toward a healthier weight. Regular walks are not only helping his waistline—they're also one of his favorite ways to spend time with his people. At home, Legba is house trained and crate trained and enjoys being part of the family. He has also lived with children and gets along well with other dogs. And yes, Legba is definitely a Beagle! If someone is walking down the street, don't worry—Legba will make sure you know about it. He likes to keep tabs on the neighborhood and isn't shy about announcing when he spots someone passing by. Legba was originally chosen as a companion for someone with PTSD, and being a loyal companion is still something this boy does exceptionally well. He loves his people and would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a dog who is past the puppy craziness but still has plenty of energy to get out, take walks, explore, and enjoy life. House trained. Crate trained. Dog friendly. Walking buddy. Professional neighborhood watchman. Weight-loss champion. What more could you ask for? Come meet Legba and see why this handsome Beagle deserves a closer look! If you are interested in adopting Legba, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out-of-town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** September 2, 2026, 11:13 am

Story
Meet Chance Some dogs are given a name that fits them perfectly, and Chance is one of them. This sweet 5-year-old Beagle mix received his name because he was given a second chance at life—and he has embraced it with his whole heart. Chance came from a hoarding/ animal abuse case where his owners were consequently arrest, arrested.  Despite everything he's been through, Chance has never lost his love for people. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees you, and he still believes that his forever family is out there waiting for him. Chance is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his people, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. He is a little on the chubby side at 56lbs and loves to be a couch potato, though we have put him on an exercise regimen and a diet.  Chance is currently heartworm positive, but that doesn't define who he is. He is receiving treatment and deserves the comfort of a loving home while he completes his journey to recovery. His future is bright, and all he needs now is someone willing to give him the love and security he has always deserved.Chance was given a second chance at life. Could you be the one to give him his second chance at a forever home?  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  September 2, 2026, 12:57 pm

Story
Noah is a very sweet dog to all humans and some dogs. He uses pee pads sometimes in our house, otherwise all other times he pees and defecates outside. I have recent test results from urine and blood work from the Vet which shows no issues. I want him to find a family situation with young children and a fenced in area to run freely. We adopted him at 1 1/2 years old from Richardson Rescue in SC and he is now 4 1/2. We live in a gated community and can't have him off leash. Noah was officially my wife's dog and she is now confined to a memory care facility full time. I do not feel capable to take care of him now. I have lots of supplies, pens(cage), eating dishes, soft bed, gates for doorways and plenty of toys that will come with Noah!
