Max: Your Loyal Companion Awaits Discover the joy of adopting Max, a delightful 31-pound dynamo with a sleek short-haired coat that glistens in the sun. A charming mix of Terrier, Hound, and Beagle, he’s a “Heinz 57” with a personality as rich and varied as his lineage. Max’s zest for life is contagious; he’s energetic, happy-go-lucky, and spirited. His expressive eyes and playful antics will capture your heart, while his love for cuddles will warm your soul. Treats? He’s all in, taking them with a gentleness that will make you smile. This young fellow is a model of good behavior, thanks to a 4-week intensive training program that’s polished his manners to shine. And the best part? His training includes lifetime “touch-ups” for those willing to visit the Charlotte area. At heart, Max is still a puppy—full of love and in need of patience. He thrives on consistency and looks forward to continuing his training journey with his new family. He’s best suited for a home without small children or animals, where he can bask in the spotlight of your affection. Max dreams of an active companion—someone who delights in long walks, hikes, and has a fenced yard for him to expend his boundless energy. He’s an outdoor aficionado, whether lounging on the patio or embarking on a trail run. And let’s not forget his passion for swimming! After a day full of adventure, Max is ready to snuggle up and relax. Whether it’s binge-watching Netflix or cheering on your favorite sports team, he’s the perfect couch buddy. If Max’s vibrant spirit and loving nature resonate with you, don’t hesitate. Visit Last Day Dogs to complete an adoption application. Story
Look at that face, what a beauty! Reesa is a 2.5-year-old Beagle and Basset mix and currently weighing 22 pounds.  Reesa takes on more of the Beagle traits regarding size, think 19” Beagle. Reesa is a very sweet girl and is vaccinated, house trained but not a fan of the create.  Reesa is true to her breed, and she is very active and noisy, she will investigate anything she thinks has food on or in it, and she has the typical Beagle prey drive and would do better in a home without cats.  She loves to cuddle with you when you are relaxing or even sleeping right next to you at night.  Reesa has done great with all the dogs in her foster home and all of them are bigger than her and would really enjoy a home with another dog!  If you are interested in adopting Reesa, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **   October 3, 2024, 12:17 pm

Story
Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless in a small town in Tennessee. People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with another dog to hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people that let me snuggle with them. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. If you are interested please write immediately to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 2, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
You've come a long way Ms Dixie and we're so proud to show you off with your new fur coat that no longer is flea bitten and that happy smile that you share with all around you. Our girl Dixie was in a very sad situation with other pets in the home she was raised. Her elderly mom went to a nursing home and the caregiver that she was left with along with the others did not do them right and medically they became full of fleas and hair loss. This girl is totally healthy at the age of 3 years old and only 23 lbs.  She loves the big Pit mix dog in the Foster home and sleeps on top of him on the sofa watching TV. .  Dixie loves the black cat that is her best friend who sits by the refrigerator with her  begging for another treat. This Charming purebred Beagle is around young children and adored by everyone in the foster home. She   is crate trained and housebroken and totally healthy and happy. There is nothing like a Beagle and there is nothing like our sweet Dixie. If you were interested in adopting her please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.comnfo PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 2, 2024, 10:11 pm
