Story
No better option than adoption! Max is seeking his forever home and family!  Max is a young 31-pound boy with a beautiful short haired coat!  He is a bit of a “Heinz 57” – we think his breeds include Terrier, Hound and Beagle! He is very energetic, happy-go-lucky, determined, spirited, expressive, playful and loves to cuddle.   He is extremely treat-motivated and very gentle when taking his treats. Max is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained.  He has been through a 4-week intense training program to help with his manners. His training comes with forever “touch ups” if the adopter is willing to travel to the Charlotte area. Max is very much a puppy at heart and needs love, patience and needs his person to continue his training.  His perfect home is one without small kids or other small animals. Max loves to be the center of attention. He’d love to be your one and only and give you all the love you could handle but has learned to share at boarding and with his foster sister.  Max would love to live with somebody who is active and wants to go on long walks and hikes with him, but also has a fenced in yard for him to run and get all his energy out. Max loves the outdoors – whether it’s going out to chill on the patio, where he will flop over as if saying “this is the spot, I am not leaving” or whether his person is taking him running or hiking.  Max also loves to swim! Once he gets all his puppy energy out, he is ready to cuddle and chill while binge watching Netflix or your favorite sports team – he’s a great television watching companion and can’t wait to cheer on your favorite team with you. If you think Max sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.com April 22, 2024, 4:55 pm

Story
Introducing Oslo! He’s a dog friendly happy little guy. Nothing seems to dampened Oslo's joy in the slightest. Do you need a dose of sunshine? Oslo radiates happiness and could brighten anyone's day. He is overjoyed at the sight of any new friend he may be able to play with. He is wonderful with other dogs and will walk away if one wants to fight.  All of this enthusiasm is packaged into a pint size body that makes him a perfect companion for anyone. Oslo loves treats, toys and head scratches. He is four years old and weighs 20 lbs.  We really are not sure of his breed, but it looks like maybe Beagle and Shiba Inu. We do know he is a happy little guy. If you are interested in adopting Oslo, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.*** April 22, 2024, 8:35 pm

Story
Clooney is an 8 year old Beagle, Hound mix looking for a new home.  He is used to being the only dog in the house and has not been properly socialized, therefore does not do well sharing with other dogs.  Clooney needs training with positive reinforcement.  He likes his people and makes a great companion.  He is a Hound that follows his nose so he will need leash walks or a fenced area to roam in.  If you can help with fostering this handsome guy until we can find him a great new home, please let us know.  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 9:08 am

Story
Silly Lil Stella is a young, perfect sized, medium girl that has the best smile and the most fun personality.  This white nugget is believed to be a Beagle/Greyhound mix who is only 18 months old and 34 pounds.  Stella is super cuddly and loving and looks much smaller than her weight suggests.  She is light and wispy and easy to have on your lap and does so well with other companion dogs and cats in the home.  She is housebroken and crate trained and was found as a stray that needed a helping hand.  She would be a great companion for a single person or young couple or even empty nesters.  She will need physical exercise outlets daily and would thrive learning new commands and dog manners.  If you are interested in this girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 9:08 am

Story
This small, 20 lb Beagle girl is called Ruth Anne and she's everything you want in a dog.  At just 2.5 years, this girl and her sister were found as a stray by a good Samaritan who took them both home.  We love her rich coloring and sweet demeanor.  She gets along great with other dogs, is playful but still low-key and honestly is not a barker.  Ruth Anne has so much to offer any type of family.  She fits in well anywhere and doesn't seem to have any issues to overcome.  If you are interested please email directly to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 9:08 am
