Story
Charley is an awesome little guy. He is 11 months old, a beagle dachshund lowrider. He is great with other dogs, does not seem to have an issue with children. Looks to have his belly rubbed. He is crate and working on his house training (almost perfect).  If you are interested in adopting Charley, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  December 5, 2024, 8:05 am

Story
Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless in a small town in Tennessee. People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with a retired man because Critter Cavalry has found that I probably was abused by a woman.  I can be nice to them but I don't want to live with them.   They intimidate me and I am truly very fond of a man's attention.  I am good with other dogs and can hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people that let me snuggle with them. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. If you are interested please write immediately to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
Jet is a unique blend of several amazing breeds. He is a great dog who desperately loves his people. His inner beagle comes out when he decides to vocally share his needs or is excited about something. His inner shepherd and cattle dog are shown by his velcro dog nature. Jet gets very attached to his person, which is not surprising given his past abandonment and maltreatment - now he wants to be sure his person is always close by. Because of this he will need an adoptive home where his people are home often. Jet does not do well around shouting or firm redirection. He will totally shut down. He does respond well to positive reinforcement with his training approach. With the right love and guidance he really comes out of his shell. If there is another dog in the home there will have to be slow and confirmed intros to be sure they get along. Jet prefers to be dominant and can get jealous when his foster sister gets all the attention. However having another low energy dog around has taught him how great it is to be a family pet! Jet really loves his daily walks, and he goes on several a day, he will need a family who is active and likes adventure. He is food motivated but does have a sensitive stomach. We have successfully navigated his GI issues and he does well on his prescription food. This senior boy deserves a loving home and family to spend the next chapter of his life with where he can see just how wonderful life can be!

Story
Hi, I'm Turtle, the charming Beagle/Hound Mix, and I can't wait to find my new best friend! Talking is my thing, so get ready for some heartwarming conversations on the couch. Snuggling is my expertise; I'll keep you cozy and warm for hours! But wait, there's more—I'm an active pup who adores running and playing in a safe, fenced backyard. My smart little brain even learned to ring a bell when I want to go outside! How cool is that? Now, all I need is my forever family to share my adventures and cuddles with. Are you ready for the most loyal and loving companion you've ever met? Then adopt me, and let's make memories together! Submit your application today at www.southcharlottedogrescue.com.
