This sweet boy is active when he's out and about, loves going for walks, enjoys exploring, and does great with other dogs. Legba is also on a weight-loss journey and absolutely crushing it! He's already lost 5 pounds and is well on his way toward a healthier weight. Regular walks are not only helping his waistline—they're also one of his favorite ways to spend time with his people. At home, Legba is house trained and crate trained and enjoys being part of the family. He has also lived with children and gets along well with other dogs. And yes, Legba is definitely a Beagle! If someone is walking down the street, don't worry—Legba will make sure you know about it. He likes to keep tabs on the neighborhood and isn't shy about announcing when he spots someone passing by. Noah is a very sweet dog to all humans and some dogs. Once he is able to get to know a dog, they become friends. He uses pee pads sometimes in our house, otherwise all other times he pees and defecates outside. I also have recent test results from urine and blood work from the Vet which shows no issues, including a general exam.We live in a gated townhome community, and he has to be on a leash anytime he leaves the house. Each day, I walk him around 7:30 AM, 11:30AM, 4:00PM and 7:30 PM.I want him to find a family situation with young children and a fenced in area to run freely. We adopted him at 1 1/2 years old from Richardson Rescue in SC and he is now 4 1/2. We live in a gated community and can't have him off leash.Noah was officially my wife's dog and she is now confined to a memory care facility full time. I do not feel capable to take care of him now.I have lots of supplies, pens(cage), eating dishes, soft bed, gates for doorways and plenty of toys that will come with Noah.

Everyone loves a Beagle and Dean is no exception to being a Beagle that especially needs love and some much needed personal guidance.  This 3 year old Beagle boy is 31 pounds and pretty much ALL Beagle.  But he needs someone to color inside the lines and shape him into an exceptional fellow that we know he is capable of being.  He was found as a stray with his brother and at this stage of life he is a blank canvas that needs polishing and molding.  Dean is healthy and thankfully heartworm negative.  True to form this boy is full of energy and lots of hunting instincts that cannot be denied.  His mind and body and tail are always busy wagging and exploring his outdoor environment.  Fortunately despite being abandoned and found as a stray, this boy is friendly with humans, kids and other dogs are welcome new friends to discover for him.  This  boy Dean can accept AND give love generously and without hesitation.  And he needs a fenced yard that he cannot escape.  He will test you at first on that fencing thing but you as the human are smarter than him.  Secure the yard well and then no problem.  He is good on a leash and knows the sit commands only.
