Story
Meet Mozzie! Mozzie is approximately 4 years old and was such a joy to foster! He’s even-keeled and easygoing, walks well in a harness, and is working on not saying hi to every passerby (though he’s friendly and gentle when invited!). He loves a good nap but gets just as excited for long walks and playtime. Mozzie does great in his crate and isn’t destructive outside of it. He’s not big on toys, but anything edible? Yes please - bully sticks are his favorite! Whoever adopts Mozzie will gain a loyal friend for life! Breed, age, and size are not guaranteed. Apply to adopt Mozzie at BilliesBuddies.org/adopt

Story
Hi, I'm Turtle, the charming Beagle/Hound Mix, and I can't wait to find my new best friend! Talking is my thing, so get ready for some heartwarming conversations on the couch. Snuggling is my expertise; I'll keep you cozy and warm for hours! But wait, there's more, I'm an active pup who adores running and playing in a safe, fenced backyard. My smart little brain even learned to ring a bell when I want to go outside! How cool is that? Now, all I need is my forever family to share my adventures and cuddles with. Are you ready for the most loyal and loving companion you've ever met? Then adopt me, and let's make memories together! Submit your application today at www.southcharlottedogrescue.com.

Story
Viola is a beautiful soul that we think is about 3 year old  and a Beagle mix girl. This black and white beauty with adorable speckled legs and a sweet She only weighs 20 lbs and has the sweetest smile and absolutely loves people. She was found as a stray that was taken to the shelter very scared and almost shutdown while there. Her human mother died and Viola is now 5 years old. Unfortunately we don’t really know her story, but we feel there is some trauma there in her past. It takes her a little bit to get used to people and even longer for dogs. She wants a safe place to observe (wire crate suggested)  till she figures it out. Her foster kept her behind a gate and her bed was her safe place. For a few days she would growl through the gate at the other dogs but after that it was over. We would leave the gate open and she would venture out and if she got nervous she would go back to her safe place. She is never ugly to the other dogs at her foster and  if one of the Chihuahuas was mean to her,  she just ignored her. We have her using puppy pads because there is  no fenced yard. Viola would definetly need a fenced yard so she can safely explore and have potty breaks. The outdoors makes her nervous still. She loves her people immensely and adores  kids but older ones are best.  If you want to help and REALLY rescue a dog them Viola would be forever indebted to you.    If you are interested please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 29, 2025, 1:51 pm

Story
Meet Dixie girl! Dixie is a 1 and a half year old Rabbit Beagle who came to our shelter with her mom, Dolly! Both of them were clearly dumped, but fortunately found their way into a kind lady's barn and she just felt the need to help them, so she brought them to us! The two are very bonded and in a perfect world, we would love for them to be adopted together, but they would also be okay if separated! Dixie is very petite and only weighs about 14 lbs and is already full grown, She has a very docile and sweet temperament and since being with us, has shown no aggression at all towards people or any of the other animals she has come in contact with! She loves to play and since playing with her have realized she loves to hold your hand and "dance" with you while you hold her up! Dixie is fully vetted, vaccinated and spayed.. She does like to play with toys, but would much rather be snuggled up on your lap! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Dixie, please visit Richardsonrescue.org to fill out an adoption application!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 18, 2026, 2:20 pm
