Belgian Malinois puppies and dogs in River Edge, New Jersey

Mila is a beautiful, approximately 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. This young girl is full of energy and enthusiasm, making her the perfect companion for an active person or family who enjoys adventures, exercise, and playtime. Mila found herself looking for a new home through no fault of her own. She was originally surrendered due to financial hardships, and while her current foster family loves her, they already have three dogs, a cat, and a baby on the way. Mila deserves a home where she can receive the time, attention, and training that a smart, active dog like her needs. She loves to play and would do great as either the only dog in the home or with another playful canine companion. Mila has been around children and has done well with them. However, due to her size and high energy level, we recommend a home with children age 10 and older. Mila is looking for a family committed to helping her reach her full potential through continued training, exercise, and lots of love. In return, she’ll be a loyal, fun-loving companion ready to join you on all of life’s adventures. Think Mila might be the perfect fit for your family? We'd love to introduce you. 🌊🐾 Meet Canelo — A Little Bit of Chaos, A Whole Lot of Love! ❤️ 13 months old | 48 lbs | Male | Crate trained | House trained If happiness had four legs, a wagging tail, and absolutely NO chill, it would be Canelo! 😂❤️ This boy is pure sunshine wrapped in fur, and he is ready to find a family who will embrace every ounce of his goofy, energetic, water-loving personality. But before Canelo became the happy, playful boy we know today, his story started in a much sadder place. 💔 Canelo and his sister, LuLu (who is also available for adoption!), were found wandering the streets along the Texas/Mexico border, covered in fleas and ticks and starving. These two babies desperately needed help, and thankfully, a wonderful sanctuary opened its doors to them around March 2026. Since then, they have been safe, cared for, and given the chance to simply be dogs. Now, they’re thriving and ready for the next chapter of their lives: finding their very own forever families. 🏡❤️ And Canelo? Oh, this boy is READY to LIVE! Canelo is an energetic, outgoing, ridiculously happy young pup who seems to wake up every morning thinking, “WHAT ADVENTURE ARE WE HAVING TODAY?!” He loves life. He loves people. He loves dogs. He loves toys. And water? WATER IS HIS LOVE LANGUAGE. 🌊😂 This boy gets the most incredible zoomies, running around like he has somewhere very important to be, even when he absolutely does not. One minute he’s racing across the yard, the next he’s bouncing around like a little bunny rabbit, hopping from one kiddie pool to another. Yes, you read that right. A bunny rabbit. 🐰💦 The sanctuary has kiddie pools for the dogs, and Canelo takes full advantage. He doesn't just enjoy water — he genuinely believes it was put on this earth specifically for his entertainment. And don't even get us started on the garden hose. Canelo will enthusiastically attack that stream of water in an attempt to play with it. A sprinkler of his very own? His DREAM COME TRUE. A trip to the river, lake, or ocean? He might actually explode from happiness. 😂🌊 If your idea of a perfect weekend involves outdoor adventures, splashing in the water, and laughing at your dog's ridiculous antics, Canelo might be your soulmate. Canelo is also a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, playful dogs — he loves them all! He would absolutely adore having another energetic canine sibling who can keep up with his enthusiasm and join him for backyard zoomies, wrestling matches, and all-day play sessions. No other dog at home? That's okay, too! Doggy daycare or regular trips to the dog park could be wonderful ways to give him the canine companionship and playtime he craves. But let's be honest: Canelo isn't looking for a quiet life of afternoon naps and leisurely strolls around the block. This boy has PLACES TO GO, TOYS TO DESTROY, AND WATER TO SPLASH IN. 🤣 An active home is a MUST for this sweet boy. He needs a family who will include him in their adventures, provide plenty of exercise and enrichment, and appreciate having a companion who is always ready for the next fun thing. And here's another thing about Canelo: he has a LOT to say! 😂 He is quite the conversationalist and loves telling you all about his day. If you're looking for a dog who will happily keep you company while you chat away, Canelo is ready to join the conversation. He has opinions, stories, and absolutely no intention of keeping them to himself! He also loves tough chews and big toys, making him the perfect companion for someone who enjoys spoiling their pup with fun things to keep that clever mind busy. Speaking of clever, Canelo is one SMART cookie. He's a quick learner and has so much potential once he settles into his forever home. He's crate trained and house trained, giving his future family a wonderful head start. And those jumping skills? INCREDIBLE. Canelo is a super-high jumper, and we can absolutely picture him having a blast with agility training or other dog sports. Give this boy a challenge, some encouragement, and a chance to burn off his energy, and just watch him shine! 🐕💨 Canelo is very sweet, loving, and loyal. He adores children, although his enthusiasm and energetic play style may be a little overwhelming for very young children. Older kids who enjoy an active dog and can participate in play and adventures could be a wonderful match. At around 48 lbs, he's a lovely medium-sized boy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. His ideal home? An active family with a backyard, plenty of opportunities for play, and ideally a pool, a sprinkler, or access to somewhere he can splash around. Honestly, if Canelo could have ten pools, he would probably consider that a reasonable starting point. 😂💦 But more than anything, he needs a family who will love him for who he is: a joyful, playful, clever, affectionate boy who has already been through so much and is ready to make up for lost time. He started life hungry, uncomfortable, and struggling to survive on the streets. Now, he has a chance at something beautiful. A home where he can run freely, play until his heart is content, splash in the water, snuggle with his people after a busy day, and know that he will never have to wonder where he belongs again. Canelo has spent enough time waiting. It's time for his forever family to find him. ❤️ Could you be the lucky person who gets to experience life with this happy, hilarious, water-loving boy? If you're ready for zoomies, muddy paws, splashy adventures, endless entertainment, and a loyal companion who will love you with his whole heart, Canelo is waiting to meet you! And don't forget about his sister, LuLu, who is also looking for her forever home. Maybe one of these beautiful souls is the missing piece of your family. 🐾❤️ PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org Canelo is neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Canelo is heart worm positive but has completed a 2-injection fast kill heartworm treatment. (On 10/3/2026) You will NEED to keep him on his monthly heart worm prevention (just like any other dog) for the rest of his life. No further treatments are needed per our vet. Meet Brownie! 👑🐾 Brownie is a 1½-year-old, 42-pound Shepherd mix who is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her! ❤️ And honestly… she may have a point. 😉 Brownie’s story began when someone found her as a puppy in South Texas in horrible condition. She was covered in fleas and ticks, frightened, and in desperate need of help. Thankfully, her finders took her in and gave her a chance. But as Brownie grew, so did her puppy energy. Her family realized they weren’t prepared for the energy and needs of a young dog and considered taking her to the pound. Rather than allow this sweet girl to face an uncertain future, they chose to surrender her to a wonderful sanctuary where she would be safe. Brownie has now been at the sanctuary for seven months, and sadly, no one has chosen her yet. And it’s absolutely no fault of her own. 💔 Brownie is a wonderful girl who is ready for a family that will appreciate her big personality, give her plenty of love, and keep her busy with all the things she enjoys. 👑 Meet the Diva Brownie is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and definitely knows what she wants! She is a vocal girl and will happily let you know when something doesn’t meet her very high Queen Brownie standards. 😂 Does she like something? She’ll tell you. Does she NOT like something? Oh, you’ll definitely hear about that too! She has a wonderfully expressive personality and a funny little diva streak that will keep her family laughing. Brownie loves attention and firmly believes that she should be the center of yours. ❤️ 🐕 Dog Friendly Brownie loves other dogs and would be perfectly happy sharing her home with another canine companion. That said, she would also be completely fine as your one-and-only dog. As long as she has her people, plenty of attention, and opportunities to play, Brownie is happy. 👧 Great with Kids Brownie would do well with children and would love having kids around to play with and shower her with attention. 🐱 Cats Brownie has not yet been formally cat-tested, but given her sweet and social demeanor, we believe she may do well with cats. A proper introduction and supervision would, of course, be important. 🏡 Working on Her House Manners Brownie is crate-trained and is currently working on mastering her house training. She’s a smart young girl who just needs a family willing to continue helping her learn. With patience, consistency, and a regular routine, Brownie should continue making great progress. 🥾 An Active Girl Looking for an Active Family Brownie has energy to burn and would love a family who enjoys walks, adventures, playtime, and outdoor activities. She enjoys her walks and would do wonderfully with regular neighborhood walks. She also loves playing with toys and would be thrilled to have a family who wants to spend time playing with her. She even likes trying to catch birds! 🐦😂 Don't worry—we don't let her! Brownie would love a family that will keep her body active and her mind engaged while also giving her plenty of affection and attention. ❤️ Why Brownie? Because underneath that hilarious diva personality is a really sweet girl who just wants to be loved. Brownie has already been through so much. She started life scared, covered in fleas and ticks, and unsure of what the future held. She was given a second chance, but after seven months at the sanctuary, she's still waiting for someone to look past her big personality and realize what a wonderful companion she could be. She doesn't need to be perfect. She just needs someone who will love her for exactly who she is—the energetic, affectionate, vocal, playful, slightly demanding, absolutely adorable Queen Brownie. 👑❤️ Brownie is ready for a family who will take her on adventures, play with her toys, take her for walks, give her all the attention she believes she deserves, and most importantly, love her forever. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic Shepherd mix with a big personality and even bigger heart, Brownie may be your girl. 🐾❤️ Seven months is far too long to wait for a forever family. Brownie is ready to be someone's Queen. 👑 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This doggy is spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Hazel is a 5-year-old girl who is smart, athletic, affectionate, and FULL of personality! She’s the kind of dog who is always ready to go do something fun—and then happily settle in beside you when the day is done. ❤️. Hazel currently lives with another large dog and does okay, but we think she would do best as an only dog Hazel is looking for someone who will appreciate her fun-loving, energetic personality and give her opportunities to run, explore, play, ride along, and be part of the family. If you're the type of person who says, “Want to go for a hike?” instead of “Want to stay home?”—Hazel may be your girl! 🥾🐾❤️ Hazel can be very excited when her person comes home, but the good news is that she settles down quickly.
