Story
If enthusiasm were an Olympic sport, Charlie would be bringing home the gold! This 40-pound Border Collie mix is a toy-loving, fun-loving whirlwind who approaches life with boundless energy, incredible speed, and a smile that can brighten anyone’s day. Charlie is fast, athletic, and always ready for action, whether he’s chasing a ball, racing across a field, or exploring a new trail. We could easily see him thriving in activities like wilderness search and rescue or conservation detection work, where his drive and enthusiasm would be right at home. He would also excel at sports like agility. Charlie has never met a ball he didn’t want to chase or a tug toy he didn’t want to proudly parade around. One of his signature moves is collecting multiple toys at once and delivering them to anyone willing to join the fun. He’s also earned a reputation for being adored by everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys both people and other dogs, and his playful personality can turn ordinary afternoons into adventures. Smart, busy, and always ready for the next challenge, Charlie thrives when he has a job to do. Whether that’s learning a new trick, tackling an outdoor adventure, or inventing his own games, he’s happiest when he’s engaged with his people. He’s also been working hard on building confidence with handling and veterinary care, and he’s already making great progress. Charlie is looking for an active home that appreciates his zest for life and can channel his big energy into fun, rewarding activities. In return, he’ll provide endless entertainment, unwavering companionship, and probably a toy or two delivered right to your lap. If you’re searching for a dog who lives every day like it’s the best day ever, Charlie is ready to meet you!

Story
Adopt Tiger Lily! She is a young, pocket sized staffy mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Tiger Lily is the kind of dog who makes you smile without even trying. She’s playful, curious, and full of life—always ready to explore the world around her, then check back in with her person like, “Did you see that?!” She has been through a lot already and is now blossoming in her foster home, discovering how fun and safe life can be. From sniffy walks to goofy play sessions to well-earned naps, Tiger Lily is learning how to just be a happy dog. She is an active girl who loves having an outlet for her energy, whether that’s outdoor adventures, enrichment games, or simply zooming around and then settling down nearby. She thrives with a routine and is happiest when she feels connected to her person. With people, Tiger Lily is thoughtful at first but forms deep bonds once she feels comfortable. She likes to take things at her own pace, but when she chooses you, she really chooses you—offering loyalty, affection, and a sweet, silly side that keeps getting bigger every day. She would do best in a home that can provide patience, consistency, and lots of love as she continues to grow in confidence. A calm environment and thoughtful introductions will help her shine. If you’re looking for a fun, devoted companion who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and build a meaningful bond with you along the way, Tiger Lily might just be your perfect match. Story
Wiley is an Aussie Shepherd mix, about 6 years old and weighs 60 lbs. He was taken to the shelter by the previous owner, so we do not know his background story. After arrival at his Foster home, he did exhibit fearful behavior and issues with hand movements so he could possibly have been abused. Wiley does need training to grow his confidence and an experienced dog owner to help him learn that humans can be kind. He does OK with other dogs but would be best suited in a home where he is the only dog in the household. Wiley is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in him, please go to our website: terriersrus.org and complete the application.
