Story
Buddy is a sweet, playful, and affectionate 2-year-old, 55-lb neutered male Border Collie mix who’s searching for his forever home. He’s social, active, and loves engaging with his people—whether that’s playtime, walks, or learning something new. He's leash-trained and loves to play fetch, showcasing his athletic side and attentive nature. He's ready to be your adventure pal and loves to calm down with belly rubs and love and affection. True to his breed, Buddy is very intelligent and responsive to guidance. He listens well and thrives with an adopter who enjoys working with a smart, energetic dog. Because Border Collies can be naturally mouthy, Buddy would do best in an adult-only home or with an experienced family with children over 10 years old who understand and respect canine boundaries. Buddy is a healthy, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations—ready to step right into his next chapter with a loving home. 🐾 Buddy is currently being fostered in the Los Angeles area, but transport can be arranged to any U.S. location. Story
Vega is completely ball obsessed and would happily play all day. She is always ready to go and has endless drive. She is good with other dogs and does well with people, though she can be a little shy and hesitant at first. She has previously lived with kids. Because of her high energy and intense love for her ball, she once jumped up for it and accidentally bumped a child’s mouth, which led to her being returned. There was no aggression involved, just excitement and drive. Vega needs a home that understands Border Collies and can confidently handle their intensity and energy. She would thrive in a very active home that can give her proper structure, engagement, and a consistent outlet. She truly needs something to do and will be happiest with people who embrace her drive and are ready to channel it the right way.

Story
Meet Snowman, he’s a very special boy to us and to the whole community from Kym Stocks trapping him in the rain to Nancy/GrandPaws Rescue taking him in initially plus helping us with his vetting to additional community members donating to his training….its been a long road to get this boy ready for adoption. He lost his friend on the road that night as she was hit by a car. It was hard for Snowman to trust people and other dogs initially. He’s partially blind and partially deaf. He’s a double dapple Australian Shepherd (Aussie). 1 year old. But he’s the sweetest and follows your voice and your scent. He makes friends with people quickly now. He’s leash trained and also runs off leash and comes when called. He’s crate trained. And for house breaking, once you show him the route to where to potty and he knows your routine, he goes with the flow. We adore this boy, he’s sweet and silly all in one. Good with cats and good with dogs that don’t get all over him. He’s not comfortable to play with any dogs still and he doesn’t want them smelling on him too long. But he will greet them and coexist with them. Yard space must be secure - we can never lose this boy! he would be fine in an apartment too - loves his walks. $350-Adoption fee covers his neuter, microchip, all vetting and forever help for our sweet boy. We prefer he gets adopted locally to set you up for success in the home with him. But zoom calls could potentially work as well. If interested, please come meet Snowman at our ranch ( 34128 Agua Dulce Canyon Road in Santa Clarita) any day between 8-6.

Story
Ripley is a 2-year-old pitbull/heeler mix with a heart full of love and a story of resilience. She and her brother were found abandoned in Ripley, Tennessee, at just 7 months old. Thanks to a Good Samaritan, they made their way to California, where her brother has since been adopted. Now it’s Ripley’s turn to find her forever family! Ripley can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and soon shows her sweet, loyal side. She’s amazing with other dogs, does wonderfully with cats, and has been around children—though we recommend kids 5 and up due to her playful energy. Ripley is the perfect mix of fun and affection. She just needs a family who will give her patience, love, and a place to finally call home. Could Ripley be the missing piece in your family?   Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. Story
This is Bluey, he is a 3 year old Australian cattle dog that is very shy. He seems to have a rough start to life because he is very fearful when eating and seems to not be used to being allowed in the house. I do not want to force him in the house so he prefers to stay outside. He really likes chews and bone treats, the longer it takes him the better. He loves wet food and laying in the sun. He has yet to come out of his shell so I don't know much else of what he likes. He is very scared of leashes and sudden movements or noises. When he feels threatened he loves curling up in a corner to feel protected. He just has a sad look in his eyes that makes you want to help him. As of now he is very scared of other dogs and growls if they get too close. He would not be good around young children until he is able to learn that life doesn't have to be scary. He needs an experienced foster or adopter to just help him learn what love is and how to have fun.
