Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2026, 12:09 am

Story
Sometimes a puppy comes along who doesn’t have to do much to steal your heart. All it takes is one look—those soft green eyes gazing up at you—and you know exactly what he’s asking. “Please pick me up.” And that is how everyone falls in love with Bleu. This special male puppy is a beautiful chocolate-and-white Border Collie mix puppy with a gentle nature and a talent for charming every human he meets. He may still be young, but he already knows how to work a room with his sweet face and calm, affectionate personality. Bleu is one of three brothers—along with Zane and Snoop Dog—who came into the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue after their story appeared in a Facebook post. A rural Tennessee family was simply giving the puppies away, and situations like that can quickly lead to unsafe futures. CCR stepped in to ensure these boys would instead have the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and well-loved.   Since arriving in rescue, the puppies have been raised in foster homes where they receive medical care, guidance, structure, and plenty of affection. We like to call it our Puppy Kingdom—a place where puppies learn routines, social skills, and what it means to be part of a loving home. Born around the first of January, Bleu is getting close to the age when he will be ready to leave the nest. Soon he will say goodbye to his brothers and the foster family who has cared for him so lovingly, and begin the next chapter with a family of his very own. Bleu is the quiet observer of the trio. He’s the smallest brother by about a pound, but his personality is wonderfully unique. While his siblings may jump into everything first, Bleu prefers to watch, think, and then join in. He loves to lounge nearby, soaking in the world around him, before suddenly launching into playful zoomies. He’s also the most talkative of the group in the sweetest way. Bleu expresses himself with little groans, soft barks, and gentle whines when something surprises him—like getting a vaccination. His foster family lovingly calls him their “sensitive boy,” because he simply feels things deeply and bonds closely with the people around him. Bleu has already done an excellent job learning the doggie door and is doing very well with potty training. He’s a thoughtful learner who just needs a family willing to continue teaching and encouraging him as he grows. All three brothers are incredibly social and affectionate. They love meeting people, enjoy other dogs, and even share their home with a confident orange tabby cat who clearly runs the household. The puppies have learned to treat their feline roommate with great respect. Bleu is sweet, charming, and full of potential. We are hoping to find an active home—especially one familiar with Border Collies—that will appreciate his thoughtful personality and give him the love, activity, and companionship he deserves.   He will be ready to travel from Nashville to the Northeast on March 28th to meet his forever family. If Bleu has already captured your heart, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting him.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2026, 12:09 am

Story
Every litter seems to have that one puppy who steals the spotlight. The one who walks into the room like he already knows he’s special. In this trio of brothers, that boy is Snoopy Dog. In fact, the foster dad caring for these puppies doesn’t even try to hide it—he says Snoopy Dog is his favorite. And once you meet him, it’s easy to see why. Snoopy Dog is a strikingly handsome puppy with the cutest nose freckles you’ve ever seen and a perfect black-spotted mask over both eyes. His body is almost entirely snowy white with just a few round spots scattered here and there, giving him a unique look that turns heads wherever he goes. And while we were told the puppies’ mom was a Border Collie, Snoopy’s soft Lab-like ears have decided they are staying exactly where they are—flopped down and adorable, never standing up like a traditional Border Collie’s. Looks aside, this boy has the personality to match. Snoopy Dog is the brains of the brother trio. His foster family quickly noticed that he is the sharpest thinker of the bunch, always the first to figure things out and the first to try something new. He’s curious, funny, confident, and clearly aware that he’s both smart and handsome.   Snoopy Dog came into the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue along with his two brothers after a Facebook post surfaced about a rural Tennessee family that was simply “giving away” the puppies. Situations like that can be risky, and we knew these boys deserved a safer path to their future. CCR stepped in to make sure they would be raised in loving foster homes where they could receive proper veterinary care, guidance, and lots of attention. Since arriving in rescue, Snoopy Dog has received everything he needs to start life off right—neutering, worming treatments, his puppy vaccinations including parvo and distemper, rabies vaccine, microchip, and a clean bill of health. He’s also been busy learning how to be a wonderful house dog. Snoopy Dog already uses the doggie door and is fully housebroken, which is impressive for such a young puppy. At just about 10 weeks old, he already weighs around 15 pounds, and we expect he will grow into a handsome 50-pound adult. This boy is playful, energetic, and ready to explore the world. He enjoys playing with his brothers, meeting people, and discovering new things. He is currently living with a cat and has shown wonderful manners, learning to respect the cat’s space and understanding that sometimes the cat simply isn’t interested in puppy games.   Soon it will be time for Snoopy Dog to leave the nest. Around March 27th he will be ready to say goodbye to his brothers and begin a brand-new chapter with a loving, active family. A fenced yard would be ideal for this curious and playful boy, along with a family ready to continue teaching him routines, manners, and all the adventures that come with being part of a family. Snoopy Dog is smart, charming, and full of personality. He’s ready to bring laughter, fun, and plenty of love into the home lucky enough to adopt him.   If you’re interested in welcoming Snoopy Dog into your family, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. He could be riding the transport van the last weekend of March and heading straight toward his forever home—maybe with you.

Story
If you’re looking for brilliance wrapped in freckles and puppy kisses, meet Zane. Born around January 3rd, this spunky little Border Collie mix is already proving he’s at the top of his class. Zane doesn’t just learn — he excels. While most puppies are still figuring things out, this bright boy is already heading to the back door to politely alert his foster mom when he needs to go potty. House training graduation? Just a week or two away. We have no doubt he’ll earn that diploma with honors. Zane is one-third of what we lovingly call the Three Amigos — along with his brothers Bleu and Snoopy. Together, they are a whirlwind of freckled faces, tumbling paws, and pure joy. Wrestling? Mastered. Running and jumping? Conquered. Backyard zoomies? Olympic level. But when the play session winds down and the excitement fades, Zane reveals his softer side. He seeks out his foster mom, curls up beside her, and sleeps peacefully for hours. For all his energy and intelligence, he is deeply affectionate and thrives on connection. He currently sleeps in a kennel with his brothers and is doing beautifully with structure and routine. Zane is the kind of puppy who will flourish with an active, engaged family that understands the needs of a smart working-breed mix. He will need consistency, continued training, and ideally a safe, secure fenced yard where he can stretch those athletic legs and put that sharp mind to good use. The “School of Love” may be his favorite class of all. Snuggles? Perfect attendance. Kisses and hugs? Straight A’s. Cozy naps next to his warm human? Advanced placement. Zane bonds deeply and will give his whole heart to his person. At an estimated 45 pounds full grown, he will be the perfect size for adventures by day and couch time by night. Zane isn’t just a cute puppy. He’s a smart, devoted future companion who will grow into an incredible dog for the right family. If you are ready for commitment, activity, laughter, and a loyal best friend, Zane is ready for you. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you’re interested. Story
Rocky’s story began when he was found in a very rural front yard—hungry, alone, but unbelievably sweet from the very first moment. He was taken to the local small town shelter for safety, but an experienced foster took one look at his sweet face and knew this boy needed more than a shekter kennel. She saw something special in him… and she was right. Rocky is a smart and striking 5-month-old Red Heeler mix, about 24 pounds, with the most adorable freckles and an expression that melts hearts instantly. He is affectionate and loves to snuggle just as much as he loves to run and play outside. Rocky enjoys his chew toys and, like most puppies, may occasionally snag a sock or blanket—but he’s doing wonderfully learning what’s his and what’s not. He does great in his crate, is progressing nicely with house training, and is eager to please. He plays well with other dogs and has been around cats in his foster home—curious but respectful, never aggressive. Rocky responds well to gentle verbal correction and truly wants to do the right thing. And when he wakes up? He has the sweetest little yawn that will make you smile every single time. This loving, highly intelligent puppy is ready to grow into a loyal, lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a best friend who will stick by your side for years to come, Rocky may be your perfect match. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting Rocky. Story
Tink’s story didn’t begin the way any young dog’s should — but we believe her best chapter is still waiting to be written very soon now that she is in the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue.  At just two years old, this striking blue-eyed Australian Shepherd girl has already experienced motherhood and heartbreak. She gave birth to a litter of puppies on Thanksgiving Day, nurturing them with devotion. But by Valentine’s weekend, her own world changed. When her owner suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in ICU, Tink was left confined inside a camper for four long days, alone and unsure. It would be understandable if that experience made her fearful or withdrawn. Instead, Tink emerged gentle, loving, and incredibly devoted to people. Currently weighing 38 pounds (and needing about five more to reach her ideal weight), Tink is a petite Aussie with a soft and gentle temperament and a playful streak. She absolutely adores children and has a naturally sweet, careful way about her. She loves playing fetch, going on walks, and burning off her energy in a securely fenced yard — which is a must for this active, intelligent breed.   Tink is mostly housebroken and simply needs the consistency of a routine. She does well in a crate and walks nicely on leash. We are currently evaluating her with other submissive dogs, as a recent attempt to pair her with a strong alpha female was not a good fit — which is understandable after all she’s been through. She may truly shine as the center of someone’s world. Tink has proven she is resilient. She has proven she is loving. Now she just needs someone who will prove to her that she will never be left behind again. If you feel your home might be the safe and steady future this beautiful girl deserves, please email Critter Cavalry at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us your city and state. Tink is ready to begin again — this time, forever.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
“Otis the Adventurer”  Otis is a handsome 3-year-old Aussie mix with a sweet heart and a curious spirit. We know his mom was an Australian Shepherd, and while Dad remains a mystery, Otis definitely inherited the intelligence and loyalty that make this breed so special. At around 45–50 pounds, he’s the perfect medium-sized companion.  Otis is the kind of dog who makes living with a dog easy. He is house trained, well-mannered, and respectful as he lives inside the home—no chewing furniture, stealing food, or getting into trouble. He’s calm for an Aussie, incredibly sweet-natured, and great with kids. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be part of the family and enjoy life alongside his people. He also gets along very well with other dogs, so he would likely thrive in a home with a canine buddy to share adventures with.  Recently after moving from his previous home, he found himself living without a privacy fenced yard.  Otis does have one little quirk—he’s an explorer at heart. If given the opportunity, he’d happily set off to see what the world has to offer! Because of that adventurous streak, a privacy fenced yard is important to keep him safe while he enjoys his outdoor time.  Currently he gets out of the non-privacy fenced yard and it is dangerous for him.  His family is worried but they cannot afford to do the proper fencing that he needs.  So.....they asked Critter Cavalry Rescue to help them find him a safe and secure home with the inescapable fence.        We are just looking for the home that Otis can thrive in safely.  Otis is a well-mannered dog just looking for a home where he can be loved, included, and kept safe while still enjoying the fresh air and sunshine he loves. In return, you’ll get a loyal, gentle, well-behaved companion who will happily spend his days by your side.  We think he is the best choice for a family not wanting a puppy who is in the chewing and puppy antic stage of life.  If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing dog with a little adventurous spirit, Otis may be the perfect match.   Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Tell us where you live, city and state.  We adopt to Tennessee residents, where our rescue is based and we have a transport company that takes adopted dogs to the northeastern region to adopting families almost every weekend.  Please let us know where you live when asking about Otis.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 8, 2026, 9:04 pm
