Story
This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Great pup, needs more space than our home can offer. He needs space to run free. He is energetic and athletic. He is crate trained and great on walks. He loves fetch and his house trained. He knows sit, come, leave it and can catch. He definitely gets the zoomies, but he is playful, sweet and good natured. He plays with our older dog well. He is good with our kids. He needs more yard space than we can give. He goes to dog parks and doggie day care often and is well liked. He is loves to chew, and loves the Bark Box super chewer toys. He is up to date on vaccines. He’s s neutered and microchipped. He is 18 months old.

Piper is the smaller pup. All of my pics are with both pups. Piper is very lovable. She is shy at times but if you put outside she loves to run and play. She was a rescue but fell right into the family.

Story
ENZO FERRARI is a 6 month old Border Collie / Hound mix. He is a sweet and happy boy who has just moved into a foster home - here’s what his foster mom says about “Life with Enzo”   Enzo has been in his current home for 2 weeks, was in a vacation foster home for a few days between, and is doing great!  Enzo has been quick to house train and is 100% crate trained. Enzo is a fun loving puppy and a true people dog.  He loves cuddles and to be by your side as much as possible, watching with his big brown eyes and ready for the next adventure.  Enzo gets along great with other dogs, he looks up to his older foster brother and likes to play and run around the yard with him.Enzo loves his walks and hiking and is very friendly to other people and dogs that he encounters. Enzo knows basic commands like sit, stay, he will fetch a ball and is learning to bring it back. He also travels well in the car, goes easily in and out and sits calmly in the back seat. Enzo also seems to have inherited Labrador qualities and loves water and already knows how to swim!  Enzo knows to sit nicely prior to being fed and is not aggressive with his food.  Enzo would love to be part of an active family and has lots of love to give, he is truly a sweet natured dog and will be a wonderful companion!  We do ask that Adopters of puppies under 12 months of age attend a basic obedience class with them. We find that this results in a more confident, settled pup and reduces returns down the road. We can recommend a group class with a positive reinforcement trainer.Enzo has been vaccinated, microchipped and is on heartworm prevention. He is scheduled for neuter and will be microchipped. Adoption $350. If you are the family that Enzo is waiting for, please fill out an application at www.companimals.org. September 3, 2026, 8:09 am

Story
Christine Risley 1:34 PM (2 minutes ago) to me Meet Oreo! My name is Oreo. I bet you don't know why. I'll give you a hint. It's because I'm so sweet. My foster mom thinks I am a Border Collie Bully mix. I am about 8 months old, and I am still learning my manners. I love to run and play with my foster siblings, but I can get too excited and start nipping at them sometimes but it’s my herding instinct and my foster mom is working on correcting me. It’s not aggressive just puppy love! I love to play with toys and chew on bones. My favorite toys are the ones I can pull the cream filling out of. I also love playing with the giant sized Jolly Ball outside My foster mom says I'm very smart and I learn quickly when I am motivated to do so. I love treats so I listen very well if there is some sort of food involved. I have learned how to sit, lay down, leave it, and I am working on learning how to shake. I am crate trained but I have figured out how to get the crate door open, so my foster mom has to put clips on the latch to keep me from opening the door. When I initially met my foster dad, I was scared of him, and I would bark at him every time I saw him . However, when he came closer, I would get quiet and enjoy the attention he would give me.. Something in my past may have caused me to fear men but with continued reassurance I should grow out of the initial fear. My foster mom has an eight-year-old little girl and while she can get on my nerves at times, I am very happy to play with her. I would love to find my forever family and show everyone just how sweet I can be! Oreo is a spirited pup who would love a playful doggie sibling and a fenced yard in my forever home. ❤️❤️❤️ If interested please contact Christine at christine@therescueexpress.org Sent from my iPhone

Story
This is August, a 3-year-old Border Collie mix. I rescued her when she was 1. She was a stray and not socialized or trained. She is a sweetheart, energetic, silly, sassy, and eager to learn. She knows a bunch of commands: bow, crawl, freeze, down, sit, touch, come, paw, high five, middle, side, etc and is a beginner in agility. She loves hikes. She is reactive toward strangers (sometimes) and dogs (primarily pulling and whining at this point) and requires sedation at the vet. August is dog-friendly. However, I do not know how she does around children and needs an experienced owner. She requires a calm, compassionate, and fun household. She really is the best girl. I was diagnosed with a progressive chronic illness and am unable to take care of her physical needs. I love her more than anything and want to find her a home where she will be happy, fulfilled, and adored.

Story
Meet Bella! Bella is a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a heart as sweet as can be! This playful girl is the perfect combination of fun and affection, and she’s ready to find a family to call her own. Bella is already showing off her excellent manners—she’s housebroken, walks beautifully on leash, and absolutely loves her crate. In fact, her crate is her special safe place where she can relax and feel comfortable. She’s also a social girl who does well with both dogs and cats! Whether she’s ready to play, make a new furry friend, or simply hang out with her people, Bella is happiest when she’s spending time with those she loves. September 3, 2026, 3:47 pm
