Maple can be very sweet and cuddle. Maple loves to apart of the family doesn’t like to be alone, loves to play and put your hand in her mouth. Can be around other dogs. She has not been around cats. She is crate trained. House training is touch and go. So someone who has experience with dogs is best. Also has a lot of time to be with her.

Story
Raven is a 5 year old Border Collie mix. She is a wonderful, playful, high energy dog that loves to be with her person and is available for cuddling basically anytime. We originally adopted her from a different owner when she was about 2 years old and she has been with us since. Part of Raven's desire for cuddles and to be around her owner is due to issues with separation anxiety. She has been to a training course where she has learned things like sit, stay, and to stay at your side when walking, but the separation anxiety has been persistent, though much more manageable. She is an incredibly smart dog and easily learns new tricks. Her ideal home would be a medium sized house with an owner that has a lot of time to spend with her on walks and with playtime. We believe she would also be good with a home that includes kids with ages at least 10+ as she can get easily overstimulated. She is good with cats and is typically good around other dogs, though she is very shy.

This boy was found with his sister wondering around a business and brought in to the shelter. He is very friendly and has no problems with other dogs. He has not been in a house (that we know of), nor has been on a leash. He is just a happy, playful pup who is needing a forever home. He is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

This girl was found wondering around a business and was brought to us. She is friendly, happy but will be a good size dog when grown. She has not been in a house (that we know of), nor has been on a leash. She does okay in a crate and has no issues with other dogs. She is just a sweet girl who is now ready for a forever home. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Archie is a really sweet, almost 2 year old boy. He is house-broken, calm in the house and is beginning to enjoy toys - he doesn't rip them up. He takes treats gently from your hands too. Archie is crate trained, but sleeps in his dog bed in his pajamas at night. He gets along well with any dog and cats too! He walks well on the leash and enjoys meeting people during his travels. He plays well with other dogs at the dog park - doesn't hate car rides but drools a lot. We are working on that with many gentle, short rides. He is an amazingly gentle soul who has a lot of love to share. You won't be disappointed.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. My adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $275. Story
We love Haukea. His birthday is 12/12/19. He went to puppy play, was socialized, went to the dog park and had a yard of his own. We lived in Washington State. When he was 1yr old he fell out of the back car window. It was during covid and we rushed him to the only open animal hospital. The doctor did exploratory surgery on his front left foreleg and found nothing wrong. Four weeks later he was still not standing on his paw normally. 3 vets later, after red light laser, acupuncture, twice weekly water therapy and over $7000 he was still not able to stand on his paw normally. We gave up trying to fix it. We have recently moved to downtown Detroit into a high rise apartment. Howie doesn’t get to socialize with other dogs here and desperately wants to. He has no soft grass or real playtime. We never castrated him for ethical reasons. He always was extremely passive. Without dog parks walking only on concrete his leg injury is worse & developing a fear of otherdogs.
