Story
Hi this is FLIRTWhat a dog!!! Playful, energetic, beautiful and smart. She just loves every one!! This good natured dog will enjoy any home as long as there is enough time for daily exercise otherwise she will get bored. She knows and understands some commands but would benefit from some basic dog training. just make sure you include her in some type of activity to keep her happyFlirt currently has heartworm and is being treated for it. Heart worm is preventable but unfortunatly in her case the previous owner failed to give her the necessary preventative that causes this. Some noises are scary and sometimes when the wind blows she`ll bark but when assured she forgets about it and continues to play.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. To help speed up the application process, it is recommended that you complete the online application form found at the link below.https://www.macombgov.org/departments/animal-control/adoptions,My adoption fee is $100.00Love and dog kissesFLIRT

Story
Joshua is from an unwanted litter . The owner did her best for them and tried to find them homes . He loves to wrestle with his brothers , play with chew toys, and learn new commands . He will go to the car and sit and wait to go for a ride . He is the “chunk “. Joshua is in Alabama at this time and is being well taken care of but no worries because we do transport. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Abner came to us after being given away on social media at just 4 weeks old. He is now a year old and ready to find a forever home. He is about 45 lbs and growing. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, preventions and chipped. He is a fun pup who loves to play with his foster friends and toys. He would be a great addition to any family either with another dog already or a one dog family. Are you someone looking for an activity partner, Abner can be that dog! Abner is located in middle TN, but not to worry his transport is included in the adoption fee with Rescue Riders Transport to one of their delivery locations. We are happy to set up a virtual meet and greet with any approved application.

Story
This beautiful girl was dumped off in the country where she stayed waiting for her owner to come back for a week. Most times she laid in the road and people had to drive around her. After a week someone called us and we went to get her. She is not only beautiful, but she is also smart and sweet. Unfortunately, she tested positive for heartworms when we took her to the vet. That was four months ago. She has now been fully treated and is ready to live a long, happy, healthy life with her new family. Irelyn is spayed and UTD on all vaccines. She loves walks, is good in the car and is housetrained. She is a dominant female so a home with easy going males would be fine. She loves to be brushed and enjoys zoomies around the yard. If you would like to add the special girl to your forever family, please contact dogs4mylife@gmail.com or omlc7@hotmail.com and we will send our info, application and additional pics.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://us14b.sheltermanager.com/onlineform_view?formid=46) completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will continue to perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.
