FOREVER HOME NEEDED!! Kubo came to us in 2020, and was adopted relatively quickly! Unfortunately, his owners could not handle Kubo and it led to them needing to return him. He was terrified upon being back at the kennel, a completely different dog than what had came to us originally. We found Kubo a wonderful foster home where he has been for 2 years! He never receives ANY interest . We are now desperate. Kubo's foster is returning to work and will not have enough time to care for him. This poor boy needs his FOREVER home ASAP!!! Kubo is a very smart 5 year old cuddle bug. He LOVES to cuddle on his person and be around them. He has been undergoing training and has come such a long way. Kubo is good with other dogs but can be very vocal when seeing them outside which is part of what his training has consisted of. He would do amazing in a lower traffic home with adults/older teens. For much of his first year, Rex lived tied out in the woods with a homeless couple, missing out on everything a puppy should know: safety, structure, and the comfort of belonging. Now, at just barely one year old, he’s finally getting his chance at having a good life that does not include a tieout and living in the woods homeless. This handsome Corgi mix weighs 25 pounds, with a compact, active build and a few healthy pounds still to gain. He sports the most expressive upright ears, short Corgi legs, a long body, and a gorgeous, fluffy tail reminiscent of a Border Collie. His coat is soft and flowing, and his energy is joyful and contagious once he feels safe. Rex is friendly with other dogs and naturally polite in his interactions. When meeting new people, he approaches gently with a submissive posture, ears back at first—then slowly lifting as his confidence grows. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash and is being introduced to basic commands and manners for the very first time and he’s proving to be a quick learner who genuinely wants to please. Because Rex missed out on early training, he will need an adopter who understands young dogs and enjoys helping one grow into his potential. Bennie is a loving and affectionate family member. He is devoted to his "people" and is a champion snuggler. He is flexible and always willing to make adjustments for others. Bennie is an adult dog (almost 5 years old), with lots of fun left in him. He is eager to please and up for a hike in the woods or just hanging on the couch. He loves the water and has been swimming since he was a puppy- even in the ocean. He will chase a stick or ball, but won't always return it! Bennie would thrive in most environments- he loves children and other dogs. He is still active and enjoys his daily walk or a yard or dog park to romp. Bennie is house-trained, of course and doesn't put anything in his mouth- except maybe his favorite blanket. He will respond to simple commands: sit, focus, stay, paw. Bennie was himself a rescue and has only been with one family- including a young son. He has had to move with us into new environments living with new people and dogs and easily adjusting and thriving.
