This sweet baby is 2 months old and likely a lab/hound mix. Loves the outdoors,camping & hiking. Will do well with an active family. She is crate trained. She does get along with other does after an introduction period. She does well at the boarders. She does have a little anxiety when getting her nails trimmed. Does well at the Vet. We hate to give her up but due to failing heath we are not able to care for her. We want her to go to a family that will love her as much ad we do. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old. We need her to find a home by February 1st.

Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Huckleberry waborn on June 27, 2021 to our two heelers. He has grown up with us--around my 5 kids and our 2 other dogs. He is an EXCELLENT fetching dog. LOVES chasing a stick or ball. Also loves hiking. He is a typical red heeler with some anxiety and jumpiness, so physical activity a must. He is 57 lbs and a tall heeler,very fit. Neutered. UTD vaccines, inc. rabies. He does not like being around his dad Boone. We cannot rehome Boone due to his health issues. Huck has only ever been aggressive to Boone, and is fine around his humans, his mama Oakley and our male 5-year-old doodle. He has NEVER shown aggression toward any human inside or outside of our home. He has not been around cats. Huck is currently staying in the back yard, but weather is getting colder. It is a pretty desperate situation, because I do NOT want to place him in a shelter. Please message or call for more info on Huck. His adoption is time-sens. Experienced heeler owner only. Piper is 6 years old and the smartest dog I’ve ever owned. We rescued Piper from an Amish farm — one farm had pure bred Aussies, the neighbor farm had pure bred Border Collies, Piper was part of an accidental mixed litter. Piper mastered “sit”, “stay”, “lay down”, and “come” within a few weeks of coming home. She now responds to all four commands in sign-language: ✊, ✋, 👇, 🤌. When not on leash, she may dart away but always comes back. At home, she can confidently be trusted without one. Piper is a cuddler, a lover, and obsessed with her master. Piper is also too aware to cope with our children: 19 month old and 4 month old. We’ve never had a safety issue, never a bite or anything close. Piper is just jealous and now barks at us, often. We aren’t able to give her the attention or exercise she needs. We plan to have more children. If you need a best friend, have land, or older children: she’s an amazing dog. I will miss her.. Fees can be waived for the right home.

Freya is a fantastic 1 year old blue heeler. I got her when she was 2 months old but soon after became pregnant with my first child and my partner and I simply do not have the time or energy to give her the exercise and enrichment she needs. She is extremely smart, but also stubborn and needs lots of exercise and enrichment which is why she needs an experienced owner. She currently lives with my saint bernard and two cats. However, she has snapped at dogs she is not familiar with so I believe she will need time to adjust to a new dog and cats she is okay with but will most likely need an adjustment period with them as well. She really is a great dog, we just cannot give her what she needs at the moment.
