Meet Josey! This sweet border collie mix is about 2 years old and she’d fit in to about any home. She’s great with dogs and loves to run around the yard with her friends. She likes toys but isn’t destructive. She plays fetch, has good recall, rides well in the car, is crate trained day or night, good on leash, etc etc etc. Josey is also fabulous with kids (even toddlers)! Apply today to snatch up this perfect girl before she’s gone. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. He walks wonderfully on a leash and is dog door trained, making him an easy fit for any household. Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Chance is a great dog with lots of personality and character. I got him when he was 7 months old from an AKC breeder. Unfortunately, I later discovered that he came from a poor breeding situation and had multiple worms and intestinal parasites, as well as a birth defect affecting his rear knee. Since then, Chance has been successfully treated for his intestinal issues and has had surgery on his knee. He has recovered well overall, but he still does not fully use the bad leg. Chance is house trained, knows basic commands, is friendly with other dogs, and does well meeting new people. He's a social dog with lots of personality, and I'm hoping to find him a caring home.

Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
