Meet Dixie! 🖤🤍 Dixie is a 1.5-year-old Border Collie/Heeler mix with the cutest perky ears, soulful eyes, and an expression that somehow manages to be both serious and ridiculously endearing at the same time. She has a unique look that makes you stop and stare—and then instantly smile. Dixie has rickets, but it truly doesn’t slow her down or dampen her joyful spirit one bit. She’s a happy, playful girl who loves to bounce around, soak up attention, and be part of whatever’s going on. Her personality is bright, loving, and full of charm. She’s incredibly friendly and adores everyone she meets, including kids, cats, and other dogs. Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Originated from ACCT KL 08313 Scrilla is a young, spayed female who is still learning about the world, but honestly? Her foster swears that some days Scrilla might be smarter than they are. Shes picking up common commands at lightning speed and is already doing wonderfully with house training. This girl loves to learn and truly wants to do the right thing she just needs someone who will keep her mind engaged and guide her as she grows. Scrilla recently had a tooth removed, handled it like a champ, and is feeling just fine. She isnt particularly fond of the crate, but she does well as long as she knows her person is nearby shes the type who finds comfort in connection. Shes currently learning how to walk politely on a leash, and while shes still figuring it out, her eagerness to learn makes her progress exciting to watch. She adores other dogs, is starting to discover what toys are (and how fun they can be!), and greets life with joyful enthusiasm. Scrilla can be a jumper, but its never anything but excitement and happiness bubbling over. Shes learning proper manners and would do best in a home with older children who can understand her energy and help reinforce calm, respectful interactions. There were some concerns raised about Scrillas eyes, so she was evaluated by an ophthalmologist. At this time, they feel that she can see and as for what the future holds well, isnt that true for all of us? Scrilla doesnt let it slow her down one bit, and what truly defines her isnt her eyesight, but her heart. At her core, Scrilla is simply a gentle girl affectionate, eager, and full of promise. Shes looking for a loving home that will continue to nurture her intelligence, guide her energy, and cherish her for the sweet, bright soul she is. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Scrilla is going to be an absolutely incredible companion. Meet Denny, a beautiful 3-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a sweet, calm spirit. About Denny Denny is a medium-sized girl with the classic, intelligent eyes of a Border Collie. Story
Rex is a young dog who has already lived a lifetime’s worth of hardship—and somehow came out the other side with a gentle soul and an open heart. For much of his first year, Rex lived tied out in the woods with a homeless couple, missing out on everything a puppy should know: safety, structure, and the comfort of belonging. Now, at just barely one year old, he’s finally getting his chance at having a good life that does not include a tieout and living in the woods homeless.    This handsome Corgi mix weighs 25 pounds, with a compact, active build and a few healthy pounds still to gain. He sports the most expressive upright ears, short Corgi legs, a long body, and a gorgeous, fluffy tail reminiscent of a Border Collie. His coat is soft and flowing, and his energy is joyful and contagious once he feels safe. Rex is friendly with other dogs and naturally polite in his interactions. When meeting new people, he approaches gently with a submissive posture, ears back at first—then slowly lifting as his confidence grows. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash and is being introduced to basic commands and manners for the very first time and he’s proving to be a quick learner who genuinely wants to please. Because Rex missed out on early training, he will need an adopter who understands young dogs and enjoys helping one grow into his potential. With consistency and positive guidance, Rex could shine in agility, flyball, or other interactive dog sports. More than anything, he’s a dog who wants to work with his person and be part of a family.  Rex is ready to leave survival behind and step into a life filled with love, guidance, and belonging. If you’re looking for a loyal, family-oriented dog and are willing to help shape his future, Rex may be the one you’ve been waiting for.   To learn more about adopting Rex, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 19, 2026, 12:17 am
