She’s a great girl who came into rescue with six puppies who are all now weaned, so setting the stage for her to find a wonderful home! She’s good with other dogs, kids, and her foster’s cat! A fine dog, any family would be lucky to have her as theirs. Story
Meet Todd 🐾😍 Todd is a 5-month-old Border Collie mix with the sweetest personality and a fun, playful spirit. He’s expected to stay on the smaller side, around 40 lbs full grown, making him a great medium-sized companion. This smart boy is quick to learn and loves to make his people smile with his goofy, funny personality. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate and loyal. Todd is doing wonderfully with house training and crate training, and he’s already showing how eager he is to learn. He does great with kids and other dogs, but will need a feline-free home as he may chase cats. Todd is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home 💕

Story
Meet Dixie! 🖤🤍 Dixie is a 1.5-year-old Border Collie/Heeler mix with the cutest perky ears, soulful eyes, and an expression that somehow manages to be both serious and ridiculously endearing at the same time. She has a unique look that makes you stop and stare—and then instantly smile. Dixie has rickets, but it truly doesn’t slow her down or dampen her joyful spirit one bit. She’s a happy, playful girl who loves to bounce around, soak up attention, and be part of whatever’s going on. Her personality is bright, loving, and full of charm. She’s incredibly friendly and adores everyone she meets, including kids, cats, and other dogs. Dixie is smart, eager to please, and already crate trained and housebroken, making her an easy and wonderful addition to a home. Dixie is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever family who will love her just as she is—unique, joyful, and absolutely adorable. 💕

Story
Here's a shout out to Dixie Mae, a pretty 3-year old heeler-shepherd mix ready for her next adventure with a forever family. Dixie Mae weighs about 42 pounds and loves outdoor times with other dogs in her fenced-in yard and on walks. She has brown stockings, muzzle, and apron and a white spot--called a Bentley Mark--on her forehead. She is so happy when she sees her leash come out and will often "stop, drop, and roll" during those neighborhood walks. Whoever walks her loves to see her thick, somewhat shorter-than-expected tail wagging away. She enjoys spending time with her foster family--in the kitchen, office, TV room for Phillies games, or even outside during her foster Mom's weeding duties. And her presence sure does make those weeds not nearly so  annoying. After a busy day, she is happy to curl up by her foster Mom's feet and sleep. Dixie Mae is house-trained, micro-chipped, spayed, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. Her bags are packed and she is ready for a happy place with a dedicated family who appreciate that she might be a bit reserved at first but want to provide a safe and loving landing for her.  Please email us at  AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com  for an application or more information. Looking for a goofy companion? Pierogi is your girl. Certified Food Disposal Professional.  Fully house and crate trained.  She sleeps happily in her crate and greets the morning with enthusiasm. Playful - she loves her chewies and entertaining herself with her ball. She is the undisputed fetch champion. Couch snuggler after she's burned off her zoomies. She is a 5 star weighted blanket substitute - 60 lbs of pure love. Enjoys "doggie yoga" while soaking up pets. Pierogi will thrive as an only pet in an adult only home ( or one with older children).  She loves playing with other similar sized dogs in supervised settings. She is smart, eager to please and shines with structure, training and love. Pierogi is 1.5 years old.  (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! Story
If there were a Guinness Record in the category for happiest dog, 8-month-old Sparkles would be a hands-down (or paws down!) winner. Sparkles has the softest golden brown fur and the most soulful eyes--and those speckled paws indicate some heeler in her hound mix. She was found abandoned in a box along a road in Kentucky, so with a challenging start to her life, it  is understandable that she might need a little extra time to feel completely comfy around new people. She weighs about 27 pounds, is micro-chipped, spayed, and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She is putting the final touches on her house training and she loves her walks with a favorite canine housemate. Sparkles adores the other dogs who are permanent residents in her foster home and having a canine buddy or buddies in a fenced-in yard would be at the top of her wish list. She loves toys and watching her grab them from the box and bring them to her crate--her little cave--brings such big smiles for foster family. So if you are looking for a buddy that will make your heart sing as you see her confidence build and her personality unfold, then Sparkles is the dog for you.  Please email us at  AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com  for an application or more information.   (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
