Story
“These dogs were originally kept as puppies when we found them, but they have grown into large young adults and now require more space and resources than I can reasonably provide. My yard is no longer adequate for their size and activity level, and I want to ensure they have the room, attention, and quality of life they deserve. This decision is being made in their best interest so they can find homes better suited to their needs.”

Story
Meet Zoey! Zoey is a 2-year-old Border Collie with a heart as big as her energy level! This happy girl absolutely adores everyone she meets and is always ready to make a new friend. One of Zoey’s favorite ways to show affection is by giving gentle hugs — she does still jump up on people sometimes, but it’s all out of love, and most people can’t help but find it adorable. Her foster family is continuing to work with her on keeping all four paws on the ground.Zoey is playful, outgoing, and full of fun. She plays HARD and would thrive in an active home that can match her enthusiasm for life. Her favorite game is herding her foster dog siblings around the yard, which means she can sometimes be a little nippy during play as part of her natural herding instincts. Because of this, she would do best with a playful, energetic dog companion who enjoys rough-and-rowdy fun as much as she does.Despite all her energy, Zoey is an incredibly sweet and happy girl. She is not aggressive with people or dogs and is not destructive in the home. She is house trained, crate trained, and great with kids. She’s also working on improving her leash skills.Zoey is looking for an active family who will embrace her playful spirit, continue her training, and give her the love and exercise she craves. If you’re searching for a loyal adventure buddy with endless affection to give, Zoey may be your perfect match! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Mississippi Boy (Max) has a special story. He was tied up at a sign pole in Arlington, TX around this past Thanksgiving. A family from Mississippi was staying in a motel or similar nearby, and apparently they could not keep the dog in the place. They surrendered him to me. I am trying to find another home for him.I think his weight was around 59 - 64 pounds at a vet. I would not consider him a 'large' dog. Maybe medium. I think he may have some Corgi or Shepherd in addition to Blue Heeler, so I do not think he is going to get much bigger. He was neutered and had a rabies prevention shot. I have the paperwork. I think he could make a great Emotional Support Animal (ESA). I am not sure how he is with cats because I don't have one.He can sit and shake hands. He does well at dog parks. He comes with a foldable crate, tennis balls, food, and bones to chew on. He has a video: https://youtube.com/shorts/owsL3l1YjhA?si=9GxFquVHzCHxCH1
