Story
Hello, I`m Bella. I`m a bit on the mellow side, but that doesn`t mean I don`t love a good adventure. My specialty? Fence climbing. I can scale any fence like a pro. But don`t worry, I`m not one to run off. I`m just a bit shy and like to observe the world from a high vantage point. I promise, I`ll never cause any trouble. I`m just looking for a loving home where I can share my peaceful nature and climbing skills. Why adopt me? Because I`ll bring calm, love, and a bit of adventure to your life.

Or, how about these Border Collies in cities near Grand Prairie, Texas

Story
Hi I am Briar Rose! I am a sweet girl that is looking for a place to call home furever. I can be a bit shy and can scare pretty easily so ideally I would like a calm and quiet home where I can build my confidence.FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: "Once Briar is comfortable with you she loves to get belly rubs, snuggles and loves that you play catch with her. She also loves to be trained, we trained the whole week with treats and she clearly knows now the words sit, stay, leave it, heel, no, paw and lay down. Briar also can stay by herself at home pretty well without a crate. I left her two days in a row by herself for 2-3 hours (with camera) and she just slept the whole time. We got to completely house train her and she doesn't chew or go anywhere she isn't allowed to. Briar also knows how to potty and pee outside and in a pad."Dogs? I can be a little picky about my friends so I would really like to meet any other dogs in the home.If you are interested in meeting me, Come on in! We are open every day 12pm - 6pm. Can't wait to meet you.I'm also available for Foster-to-Adopt if you want to take me home before committing to fur-ever!

Oh my gosh, are you here to read more about little ol’ me? Oh, where do I start! Well, I’m just a happy doggo trying to live my best life and match up with a new family. DAS is helping me search, isn’t that cool? We’re still getting to know each other, but I think we’re going to find me some great friends. I’ve let them know that I enjoy long walks on warm evenings, trying all kinds of new snacks, and chewing on doggie toys. Who doesn’t love those things? Speaking of snacks, I’ve heard that Dallas is an exciting doggie-friendly place for food enthusiasts! I’d love to check out a few patios some day with my new family. Does that sound like something you’d enjoy, too? I sure hope so… maybe you could click that “Adopt Me” button and we’ll get to know each other better!

Story
Mitzi (6y/o) came to us almost two years ago. She is sweet, loyal, affectionate and attached at the hip to whomever will allow it. She is smart and can likely be trained. We didn't know when we took her in, but we suspect she has been in an abusive home before ours. She seems to be pretty anxious and protective of her humans. She needs a family to take care of her who has a lot of time to dedicate to her. She gets pretty sad when she doesn't get to spend time near her family. She enjoys being in the same room, if not next to a person at all times. We have a cat in our home and after months of slowly socializing them, they can be in the same room together without issue. A few weeks after we took her in, she had an incident where she bit another dog without provocation. The incident was documented and for a time we were afraid that she would be hostile towards other dogs, indefinitely. We have been walking her and have seen her improve in her ability to be around other dogs.

Story
Molly is a good girl with a loving owner, who unfortunately can't care for her anymore due to age, illness, and loss of mobility. Molly's a big girl with a big heart. She still has the energy to run and play in the back yard, but is an inside girl who is happy just to curl up in her bed (or by you on the couch if you'll let her). It's important we find Molly a good home she'll be as love in as she is in her current home

Story
Meet Summer! Howdy, they call me Summer because I bring the sunshine, happiness and laughter to every party! I am 1 year old and I love like there is no tomorrow and am as gentle as you need me to be. When my foster family first said yes to me, they had zero clue just how sick I really was, because I showed as little as possible that side of me. And showed them nothing but the happy, grateful, playful side of me. If that gives you any idea of how laid back temperament wise I am. Ideally I would love to find an active family or adult who will give me endless car rides if they like, or all the cuddles and wiggly butt smiles they can take, or what ever adventure they may have in mind.I do have a lot of energy, but if you aren't as energetic that is okay too! I LOVE CATCH!!!!! I light up when you throw a ball for me and I will come rushing back to drop the ball back near your feet. I am that girl! So have no fear of your lifestyle with me, as long as you can love me and throw me balls galore; we should be loving life to the fullest. I can't wait to meet you and until then my foster mom and Nona are taking really good care of me. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Nutmeg is approximately 4 years old and is a red heeler mix. He is always happy and gets along with other dogs and currently lives in a household with a cat. He is moderately playful and willing to follow other dogs leads. Because of his herding instinct he does nip at strangers that come on his turf. We aren't sure how he is with small children but believe he will do well with older ones. Nutmeg is  housetrained, neutered and current on his vaccines. He doesn't like being in a crate so is loose in the house or outside. We feel he would be fine in a one dog family providing his human(s) has the desire and plenty of time to spend with him. A home visit is part of his adoption process so he is available for adoption in the immediate DFW area only. If interested in Nutmeg please email us for a pre adoption questionnaire which is the first step in the adoption process. April 9, 2023, 12:13 am

Hi, I`m Eagle, your friendly neighborhood 30 lbs. goofball! I`m a bit shy but loyal and playful. Now, how did I end up here, you ask? Well, it`s a funny story. I once mistook the mailman for a dog food delivery guy. I mean, they both carry bags, right? So, I followed him all day, hoping for a treat. The next thing I knew, I was here at the shelter. I swear, I was just trying to help with the mail! But enough about my past. I`m ready for a new adventure, and I promise to be the best friend you`ll ever have. Adopt me and let`s create our own hilarious stories together!
