Story
Meet Jay – Big Personality, Bigger Heart  Meet Jay, a bundle of joy who might be part pug, part Aussie—and 100% personality! This energetic boy loves his toys and takes his job of protecting the yard from bunnies, squirrels, birds, and even leaves very seriously. Jay is a zoomie pro and would love a home with another playful dog (no cats, please). He’s kennel trained but wouldn't be opposed to sleeping with his people—snoring included—and walks fairly well on a leash, though he pulls with excitement. He’s great with dog-savvy kids but would do best in a home with older children since he can get a little zoomy. Jay is a sweet, loving boy who’s learning his manners and will make a wonderful companion for an active family. ##2353867##

Story
Meet our survivor, Cooper — a 5‑month‑old, 15‑lb Pug/Beagle mix who’s lucky to be alive. He was found darting through traffic, terrified and confused, when a good Samaritan stopped just in time and scooped him up. He was only 10 pounds then — skin and bones, just a baby — and no one even knew his age. Now he’s safe in a foster home, finally getting the care, food, and comfort he’s been missing. He’s still very much a puppy, full of sweetness and curiosity, and he’s learning what it means to be loved. Puppy | Male | 5 months | 15 lbs | Pug/Beagle mix He’s ready for a family who will protect him, teach him, and give him the soft landing he never had. Apply to adopt and give this brave little guy the future he deserves. www.dallasdog.org This tiny guy was almost hit by a car. A good Samaritan scooped him up and got him to the shelter. But he needed out! He was only 10 lbs, just a baby, we didn't even know his age. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
**Meet Kira!** Sweet, snorty, and fully retired from both puppy chaos *and* motherhood, Kira is ready to claim her rightful place as a full-time lap ornament. She’s the perfect mix of low-key companion and affectionate shadow—happy to waddle beside you on a stroll or snooze the day away by your side (while providing a little commentary along the way). 💚 **Fun Facts** * Loves toys twice her size (the bigger, the better) * Professional snuggler and champion napper * Deep sleeper… with award-winning snores * Spinning in happy little circles is her signature move * Thinks every meal is a five-star dining experience * A bit chatty on walks—she likes to announce her presence to the world * Former mama turned “playground police”… she likes to keep everyone in line 🏡 **Behavior & Home Life** **Energy Level:** Low **Leash:** Walks well and enjoys a nice, easy stroll (with a little commentary) **Crate:** Not crate trained, but does well in a pen setup **Home Routine:** Thrives with a calm, cozy routine and would likely do great with someone who can keep her on a consistent schedule **Socialization:** Has done well with people and other dogs **Other Dogs:** Friendly, especially with smaller pups (may supervise playtime 😉) **People & Strangers:** Very friendly and loves attention **Kids:** Likely best in a calmer home or with older kids **Car Rides/Outings:** Great in the car—happy to be your little copilot Kira is currently pen/potty pad trained and doing well with that setup. After raising multiple litters, her bladder is basically on its own retirement plan—sometimes it follows the rules, sometimes it freelances. She’d do best with someone who can keep her on a regular schedule as she continues to improve! .

Story
Hi! I’m Beignet, but my friends call me Benny. 🐾 I’m around 3 years old, about 25â€Â㦊 pounds, and basically the perfect mix of playful, sweet, and easygoing. I had a rough start after being hit by a car around Christmas 2025, but thanks to lots of care, rest, and love, I’ve made a full recovery and am back to doing all the normal dog things I love most. Running? Yep. Playing? Absolutely. Jumping around and having fun? You bet. These days, I’m living my best life and soaking up every adventure I can. I LOVE walks, enjoy playing with toys, and fit in seamlessly with other dogs. I’m a friendly, social guy who greets new people with a sweet and gentle demeanor, and my foster says I’ve been an easy houseguest with zero accidents in the home. I’m also a pretty silly little dude. Sometimes I get so excited I accidentally grab a sock or shoe while looking for a toy, but I promise I mean well. I just love being involved in whatever my people are doing. After everything I’ve been through, I’m more than ready for a forever family to call my own. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with just the right amount of goofy charm, I’d love to meet you. ❤ï¸Â One important note: I would do best in a cat-free home. I’ve met a cat before and decided they’re just not really my thing. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/ . Story
Carina Dee is a sweet, happy, Pugalicious little girl with a big love for life. She adores toys, chew bones and exploring her yard, and - most of all - snuggling with her humans. A true cuddlebug, she is happiest curled up in your lap, showering you with kisses. Carina Dee is crate trained and will happily go to her crate when called, sleeping quietly through the night close to her foster mom. She is very proud of her outdoor potty progress, though her house training is still a work in progress. Affectionately known as "Sweet Dee", she will thrive as an only pup where she can soak up all the love, but she may also do well with another dog her size and similar age. If you are looking for a cuddly, fun, and devoted companion, Sweet Dee is your girl! Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.
