Story
Meet Jay – Big Personality, Bigger Heart  Meet Jay, a tall, 40-pound bundle of joy who might be part pug, part Aussie—and 100% personality. This energetic boy loves his toys and takes his self-appointed job of protecting the yard from bunnies, squirrels, birds, and even rogue leaves very seriously. He’s a true zoomie professional, both indoors and out, and would thrive in a home with another playful dog to burn off his energy (but no cats, please—he finds them far too interesting). Jay does best when meals are served on opposite sides of the room from his furry siblings, and he’s kennel trained—though his favorite sleeping spot is definitely the bed with his human. Fair warning: a little snoring may be included. He walks fairly well on a leash but pulls with enthusiasm, eager to explore everything the world has to offer. He’s great with the dog-savvy 3-year-old granddaughter in his foster home, but because Jay can get excited and zoom right past little ones, a home with older or dog-savvy kids (and no fragile seniors) would be ideal. He has some strong “accidental linebacker” energy when he jumps up to say hello. Jay is a sweet, loving boy who’s learning better manners every day. With continued structure, patience, and love, he’ll make an amazing companion for an active household ready to embrace his joyful spirit. ##2353867##

Story
True gentleman alert! “Where are all my ladies at?” 😉 Hi, I’m Bandit, a very handsome gentleman about 1 year old. The vet says I’m a solid dog (obviously). They think I might be a pug/Brussels griffon mix, maybe with a little bulldog — which explains why I’m a big boy with big charm. I’m not much of a barker… unless food is involved. Mealtime is serious business. I’ll spin in circles and bark just to make sure you don’t forget — and trust me, I never miss a meal. I love sleeping upside down, I snore loudly (you’re welcome), and I’m obsessed with my plush toys, which I carry around like babies. I’m a total people dog, super smart, learning commands, and already potty trained and crate trained. Looking for a loyal, funny, snuggly guy with personality for days, I am ready to be all yours! Loves hugs, belly rubs, and snuggles. Crate & potty trained, quiet, and oh-so-sweet! Seen running around a trailer park scared for a few weeks but no one could catch him. Finally caught and posted on lost and found and no one came for this adorable little guy. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
