Story
Meet Opal, a young female Boxer with a heart as big as her journey! Opal's story began on the streets of Tijuana, where a heartbreaking picture of her Emaciated and covered in ticks found its way to us. Homeless and struggling, we knew we had to bring her to safety. Once here, we immediately took her to the vet for bloodwork and a 4DX test to check for any tick-borne diseases. Everything came back negative, and her blood work is perfectly normal! We were thrilled! Fast forward a couple months, Opal was on medical status as we worked on slowly gaining weight and building her strength. During her Spay appt, she almost died on the table and it was found that she did in fact contract 2 Tickborne Diseases! She had contracted Erlichia and Anaplasmosis. We cured the tickborne diseases and her blood platelets were damaged. So she has been battling Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia, going every two weeks for routine blood draws and medicine. During the vet visits, we also discovered that Opal is deaf, but that doesn't stop her from being the sweetest, most affectionate dog. She adores being with her humans and thinks she's a lap dog-she'll cuddle up with you any chance she gets! Opal is looking for a loving home where her new family will enjoy her goofy loving personality! If you're ready to be part of Opal's journey and give her the second chance she deserves, please complete our adoption application, and we'll be in touch soon. Let's give this sweet girl the happy ending she's been waiting for!

Story
Meet Beary Moose — Professional Goofball, Toy Enthusiast, and Snuggle Expert 🐻 Beary Moose is a 4-year-old “mystery mix” masterpiece. Best guesses? Boxer? Shepherd? Chow chow? A little bit of everything? All we know for sure is that he turned out perfect—complete with the most legendary underbite you’ve ever seen. It’s impossible not to smile when he flashes it. Impossible. We fell head-over-heels for Beary Moose at the shelter for one very specific reason: Every single time we walked past his kennel, he would sprint to grab his favorite toy, race back to the window, and proudly hold it up like, “Excuse me, do you SEE how good of a boy I am?” Reader, we did see. And The Misfit Ranch immediately said, “Yep. That one’s coming with us.” Beary Moose is: 🐶 Sweet and friendly with other dogs 🧸 Obsessed with toys (squeaky, plush, all of them—he has opinions) 🍪 Highly treat-motivated (training? Yes please) 💕 Equal parts cuddle bug and full-contact snuggle monster At about 50–60 pounds, he’s the perfect size for couch cuddles without fully crushing your internal organs (mostly). He’s mostly house trained and totally crate trained, and—praise be—sleeps through the night in his crate with zero accidents. Hallelujah indeed. Despite looking like he might shed enough to knit a sweater, Beary Moose is surprisingly low-shed (but not hypoallergenic, so get that Claritin ready if you have allergies!) and ridiculously soft and fluffy, like hugging a very polite cloud. On leash, he can be a little pully—but only because the world is exciting and he wants to see everything. The good news? He rides like a dream in the car, making him fully adventure-ready for hikes, road trips, coffee runs, or just cruising with his head out the window living his best life. Beary Moose is joyful, affectionate, hilarious, and bursting with love he’s ready to give to his forever family. If you’ve been looking for a dog who will bring you toys, steal your couch, and absolutely steal your heart… Beary Moose is your guy.

Story
Bruce was born 2/1/2023; his dad is a boxer, and his mom is a cane corso. With a huge change in financial and home circumstances, we are unable to take Bruce with us. He is a good boy, and has been wonderful with our kid since she was 2. He is crate trained, and never had an issue with jumping on people. It is our biggest wish this holiday season that he goes to a loving home. No adoption fee is being asked; please just use whatever money you were supposed to use for a pet, for whatever you need for Bruce -updated shots, toys, bed etc.
