Story
Between May 1st and 15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $50! Meet Simon, a Boxer mix, approximately four years old and weighing in at around 56 pounds. Simon was discovered abandoned at a county shelter, where he was sadly malnourished and in dire need of care. Despite his rough start, Simon has shown remarkable resilience and has been steadily putting on much-needed weight over the past few weeks. His journey to recovery has been a testament to his strength and spirit. Simon is the epitome of sweetness, with a heart as big as his muscles. He exudes love and affection towards everyone he meets, both humans and his furry friends alike. His playful nature shines through when he's surrounded by other dogs, making him a favorite among his doggie daycare buddies. Simon has won the hearts of the doggie day care staff with his gentle disposition and loving demeanor. Simon is making excellent strides in his potty training and leash manners. He has shown a willingness to learn and is eager to please, making him a joy to work with. While he may still be mastering the basics, his enthusiasm for learning and his strong bond with his caregivers promise a bright future ahead. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, Simon is sure to become a well-mannered and obedient companion. With his loving nature and eagerness to learn, Simon has all the makings of a wonderful family pet. He thrives on companionship and would flourish in a home where he receives plenty of love, attention, and opportunities for play. Simon's journey from a neglected stray to a cherished member of a loving family is a testament to the transformative power of kindness and compassion. As he continues to blossom, Simon is sure to bring endless joy and devotion to his forever home. Simon's adoption fee is $275. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Between May 1st and 15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $50! Meet Lollie! Lollie is an 8-year-old, 75-lb Boxer mix who loves laying around, catching bees and being close to people. Her superpowers include being a super smart dog. She has completed basic dog training and is completely housebroken, and crate trained. Lollie can either sleep in a crate overnight or lay next your bed, your choice. She never goes out at night to go potty. She never jumps on you; she just greets you with a tail wag and her toy. She is loving of all people everywhere and she loves going on short walks. She loves to "show you her toy" when you get home. In terms of house training, Lollie is 100% house trained and has free roam of the house when nobody is home and has never had an accident. Lollie is a laid back, lazy dog who loves to lay in the sun. She is completely trained on an invisible and has never crossed after being trained. Lollie's only flaw....she prefers to be the only dog in the home. Some of her favorite things are her chew toys, chasing and catching bees, showing you her toy and laying in the sun. If you're looking for the biggest lover who just wants to follow you around and be your buddy, Lollie would be perfect. Lollie is currently being fostered in the Waynesville, OH area.
