Story
Izzy is a 4yr old boxer pit mix. I adopted her as a puppy from the humane society and she has always lived with other dogs. Unfortunately due to problems she is having with one of my older corgis i am asking she go to a home with no other pets. She loves her stuffed animals, playing catch, tennis and basket balls are her favorite. She loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed with her human. She also enjoys walks and car rides (long and short). She is a good dog for someone who is not gone for long periods at a time and loves to cuddle.

Story
If you are lucky, a dog will come into your life, steal your heart and change everything. This is PicklesWe are hoping someone like you can foster him and change his life. Pickles came in malnourished and emaciated. In these very short weeks he has been with us he has been gaining weight and feeling better as each day passes. I cannot imagine the grief he has had to endure being starved and not taken care of properly. We think the world of him as he is stealing our hearts. Sweet Pickles will need to be fed small, multiple meals a day. When he does eat he eats fast and hungrily. He needs encouragement knowing he will be fed again and again. He is learning to take treats nicely but it`s hard for him to understand patience when he was shown such little care before. We need him to gain the proper weight so we can have him neutered and when that time comes he`ll be placed up for adoption. If you have love in your heart he will steal yours the minute you meet him. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.My adoption fee is $200.00Love and dog kissesPickles

Story
What a brindle beauty he is! Eugene is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 45 pounds. Well, Mr. Eugene is such nice, smart boy that one of our wonderful volunteers is taking him to a Trick Class once a week. He just went to his first class and he was such a good boy. As you can see from all of his pictures, he loved it and was such a good co-pilot in the car, he was also fascinated by the car wash on the way home. Apparently, Eugene was a rockstar! He worked on so many things: Spin, Peekaboo, Play bow, Shake, Chin & Slide and caught on to each so fast! The one picture of Eugine looking up at his volunteer saying “I woof you, thank you for giving me a kennel break and taking me to Tricks Class” is so sweet. There are really no words for the cuteness overload with this boy and his underbite. Eugene is a fun, friendly and full of life pup! He is super playful, loves his toys and also releases them nicely. He is brimming with love and affection, just wishing for a family to grow up with. Eugene really looks to you for direction and catches on quickly with leadership and reinforcement. Need an exploring buddy, he is interested in everything, just loving his walks, what a wonderful best friend he will be! He can be a little mouthy though and needs some basic manners work, so it would be wonderful if his new family could work on this with him. Eugene has lots of potential, he just needs someone to provide some structure and guidance. His dream would be an active, fun family with room to run. He will also need home where any children are at least 13 years old. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Eugene would love to meet them. He has a nice, soft, friendly approach with other dogs. If you are interested in Eugene and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

Story
So much chocolatey goodness! Latte is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 41 pounds. Latte is utterly adorable with that underbite! Her attentive and playful demeanor paired with her love for toys and sweet attitude makes her one special lady. She already knows some commands like "sit" and "drop it”, she can’t wait to learn more. Latte loves to get her wiggles out too and would be a great companion for someone who enjoys going on walks or playing in the yard, a fun family would be her dream. She can be a little hesitant when first meeting you, but warms up quickly once she knows you and feels comfortable. Latte can also be a little hand shy, so she needs an adopter to work on building trust and confidence and where any children are at least 8 years old. She is so hoping to find her family soon, she will bring so much love and laughter to a home. If you are interested in Latte and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Someone wants all the love! Casper is estimated to be about 5 months old and weighs 32 pounds, he will have much nicer pictures coming soon. Casper is a sweet, goofy, and playful pup who happily prances about, it is the cutest thing ever! He just loves to be close to you, though he can be a little timid at first. His adopter needs to have the time and patience to work on trust and positive socialization to help him blossom. Casper is just a baby, so he will need lots of love, attention, and care. A home with calm, respectful children is just what he needs due to his timid nature. Casper is looking for a forever home where he can grow up feeling loved and cherished, he will give you so much back in return. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Casper would love to meet them. He has a friendly, excited approach with other dogs. He may benefit from being in a home with another well socialized dog, it could really help build his confidence. If you are interested in Casper and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. Story
Hugo and his wrinkles, too cute! He is estimated to be about 5 months old and weighs 38 pounds. Hugo is an adorable puppy with a sweet, affectionate nature, with a shy side to him. He loves nothing more than to be close, especially if that involves being in your lap, soaking up all the love you have to give. He can be a little submissive though and looks to you for comfort and guidance. His adopter needs to have the time and patience to work on trust and positive socialization. Hugo is still a baby, which means he will need a lot of attention, care, and patience as he grows into the amazing dog that he is. He may be a little timid at first, but with the right owner, he will just blossom. He is going to bring so much love and snuggles to his new family, they are going to be very lucky. Any children in the home need to be at least 4 years old with his shy nature. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Hugo would love to meet them. He has a friendly, soft approach with other dogs. He may benefit from being in a home with another well socialized dog, it could really help build his confidence.
