Story
Izzy is a 4yr old boxer pit mix. I adopted her as a puppy from the humane society and she has always lived with other dogs. Unfortunately due to problems she is having with one of my older corgis i am asking she go to a home with no other pets. She loves her stuffed animals, playing catch, tennis and basket balls are her favorite. She loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed with her human. She also enjoys walks and car rides (long and short). She is a good dog for someone who is not gone for long periods at a time and loves to cuddle.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://us14b.sheltermanager.com/onlineform_view?formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will continue to perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Jubilee is sweet, loyal, soft, cuddly, and fun. She was found as a stray in my neighborhood, she was house broken but not spayed. She is now spayed and has all of her shots etc. I think she is around 6 or 7. She loves the out doors, and is great at keeping watch of a house. She is kind to humans- adults and kids, but has had a few incidents with other dogs and does chase cats. She would love a home with a loving owner. She is pretty chill, and can go for a long time- up to 10 hours during the day without having to be let out. She needs to be the only pet in the house. It would be great to have a yard or a big property that she could enjoy but she is also fine staying inside and only being out for walks twice a day. I have a fenced in yard, she is out there regularly and doesn't try to escape. I left the door open once and she got out but she came back to the house on her own pretty quickly afterwards. She is a good companion and will walk or jog with you and give you snuggles.

Story
Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) He is a sweet playful pup that has done great with small and large dogs. He is crate trained and doing very well with his house training. He loves toys and sticks to chew on. He has had his shots, neutered and microchipped. Wouldn’t you love to add this baby to your family? We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Gypsy was a stray. A man in Raymond, Mississippi found her and took her to the pound. They were going to euthanize her, and he took her home. She did not like his cats, so he surrendered her to us. She LOVES to run and play, and she needs a lot of exercise. She does good with most all dogs, but she is shy when she meets new people. Gypsy does not like cats! Once she warms up to people, she just wants to give kisses! Her ideal home would be a person or family that has a large yard for her to run and play in. She would be the best dog to do activities with or just cuddle with on the couch. She should be fine in a large, fenced yard. She can be hyper at times but settles down nicely inside with a chew toy. Gypsy is in boarding now, and she desperately needs a forever family!! We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Midas is almost two. He is a loving dog. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is very playful and friendly. He loves people and kids. Especially babies he protects them but in a genuine gentle way. He is house broken. He was given to my oldest after his grandmother passed. I would love to keep him but our apartment complex has an issue with his breed. He needs a loving home and more space. We would love for him to have a home with a yard to run and someone who is willing to train him. He is very smart just needs someone who can take up time with him. I feel like I’m losing a child but I know this is what is best for him to reach his full potential. If we could get updates of his progress that would be greatly appreciated as well. Midas gives so much to anyone he comes in contact with and likes to be called piggy!
