Hello there! My name is Manny/Chip! I am the most handsomest Boxer/Lab mix ever!! And my personality is just as attractive! I was given a chance at a new life when Artemis pulled me from the pound – they were going to euthanize me, can you believe it?!?! Well, now I’m safe… and full of hope as I anxiously await that loving family that is out there for me. A little about me: * I was born around 9/04/21 * I weigh about 55lbs * I’m already neutered * I’m heartworm negative and UTD on vaccines and preventatives! * I LOVE playing ball and getting belly rubs. * Hanging out with my person is my most favorite thing * I promise – I would make you a GREAT canine buddy!! Please give me a chance to win your heart and become your best friend forever! I really need to find my new family… that very well may be you! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Paddy is a boxer/terrier mix (est DOB 10/30/22) who weighs ~50 lbs, is fully vetted, heartworm negative, neutered, and current on all preventatives — translation: fully ready for his forever home. He came to Artemis with a little “swagger step.” A vet confirmed it’s from an old, un-treated fracture that healed wrong. Sad human decision in his past — but the cool part? Paddy turned it into his signature move. He’s not “handicapped.” He’s handi-capable. He just walks like he’s got rhythm. And it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Paddy is the friendliest lil cookie — super dog social, gentle, and respectful. He even naturally submits to dominant dogs. He’s the kind of dog who tries to get along with everyone. Paddy is eagerly waiting for his forever family… a soft couch… and a human or two who will finally choose him on purpose. Could that be you? Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Hello hoomans!! Kevon here. I’m currently on the hunt for a family of my very own. I’m a 57 pound male boxer mix who was born around 5/08/23 and, let me tell you I’ve got the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle-ready charm to steal your heart. I love making friends! Whether it’s playing with other doggos, or my absolute favorite – snuggling with hoomans, Do you want a bestie for adventures and zoomies? That’s me! Need a lap warmer for movie nights? Also me! I’m the best of both worlds – active and playful, but also the perfect snuggle bug. And I’m up to date on my vaccines but because my previous owners did not take proper care of me I'm currently being treated for heartworms on slow kill method, which Artemis is funding and will continue to fund until I'm cured... even if you adopt me so please don't let that stop you from meeting me. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and adorable new family member, I’d love to meet you! Let’s make some tail-wagging memories together. I can’t wait to be your best friend forever! We all need a little Joy in our lives… and that is exactly what this girl brings you! Meet Joy! This sweet baby was let down by her previous humans. They abandoned her, tied out on a chain without food, water, or shelter. But it hasn’t changed her joyous outlook on life one bit! Miss Joy is super loving with people. She’s everything you could ever want in a dog—obedient, friendly, gentle, and affectionate. She walks beautifully on leash, loves people, and gets along great with other dogs... and cats too. She's just waiting for someone to choose her. Joy was born about 12/06/20 and weighs in at 51 pounds of love and… well… JOY!! Because her previous owners did not take proper care of her, Joy is currently being treated for heartworms on slow kill method, which Artemis will continue to thoroughly fund to completion… yes, even after she’s adopted so you won’t have any added cost. Joy is otherwise up to date on her vaccines and already spayed. This wonderful baby is MORE than ready to be treated with the love and dedication she deserves. Please consider giving her a chance to show you the amazing dog she was born to be. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. Story
Meet Winston!!! This sweet boy is a self-proclaimed "Big Land Seal" whose absolute favorite thing in the world is to snuggle. While he is a champion lounger, he also has an active side. He loves daily fetch and walks making him an excellent partner for outdoor hikes. Winston is also fully potty-trained and listens beautifully to commands like Sit, Wait, Lay Down, Drop It, and Potty. He has been around a 3-year-old and a 8-year-old and did great with both. He also has done great around other dogs. (His compatibility with cats is unknown) Winston is the perfect passenger in the car, riding along like the gentleman he is. Winston's only real hurdle is a deep fear of thunderstorms and fireworks, which triggers some severe separation anxiety. Because he detests crates and becomes very anxious inside them, he must be left loose. While he is independent during good weather, storms change everything—he becomes dependent and truly needs a human around to comfort him. Because of this, Winston needs a home where someone is around more often than not. He is looking for a family who can offer him the security of a consistent routine, stern but loving guidance when he plays with his toys, and a warm spot on the couch to cuddle through the storms. *4.5 years old *75 lbs. of HUNK *Neutered and UTD on vaccines *Potty Trained *Dog and Kid Friendly APPLY TODAY: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Indi Some dogs make you work to earn their trust. Indi isn't one of them. Despite being rescued off the streets, this 50 lb pittie mix walked into rescue with his heart wide open — and it hasn't closed since. Indi greets every single person like they're the best part of his day. No hesitation, no reservations, just pure, easy affection. He's playful and cuddly in equal measure, happy to share his toys without a shred of possessiveness, and he genuinely lights up around other dogs — he's done great on every dog meet so far and clearly loves having buddies to romp with. Couch snuggles, backyard playtime, golf cart cruises — Indi doesn't need anything fancy, he just wants to be wherever you are. He's a smart, eager-to-please guy who's already picking up "sit," doing well with leash walking, and nailing his potty breaks on lead. He genuinely wants to get it right, he just needs a patient person willing to keep showing him the ropes — and honestly, that eagerness makes him a joy to train. A couple of honest notes: Indi once escaped his yard, though it was less "master escape artist" and more "stood on the other side looking confused about how he got there" — so a secure yard or supervised outdoor time will help keep his adventures limited to backyard zoomies. He's also blind in one eye from an old injury, but you'd genuinely never know it. It hasn't dimmed his enthusiasm for life even a little. Indi isn't just looking for a home — he's ready to pour everything he has into one. If you want a dog who will meet you at the door with his whole heart every single day, he's your guy. Indi is 1.5 years old, neutered, utd on vaccines, microchipped, fecal tested. Dog and kid friendly. Meet "Chuck" Norris!! He may not be able to do karate or jiu-jitsu, but he can definitely steal your heart!! Chuck is a sweet, shy fella that is finding his confidence and getting braver everyday. Once he feels safe, he has lots of love & kisses to give! He loves to play with toys and plays catch (although he doesn't really return the ball yet), but his absolute favorite thing is getting all the belly rubs from you!! Chuck gets along great with other dogs, and having a buddy is helping build his confidence. He has done great with cats, and likes kids who give him time to warm up to them. He is great in the car, house broken, and crate trained (makes it through the night too). He walks great on a leash once you start walk, but hesitates when walking out a gate or door which we are working on with him....it's a big scary world out there! He is so smart, and learning some of the basic commands. He is such an amazing boy and has lots of love, kisses and cuddles to give! *Neutered & UTD on vaccines *Housetrained *Dog, cats & kid friendly APPLY TODAY: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Fforster-application
