Story
Meet Tiffy — The Brilliant, Bouncy Boxer Mix With a Whole Lot of Heart Tiffy is an 8‑month‑old medium Boxer mix, around 42 pounds, who embodies everything we love about adolescent pups: she’s smart, silly, affectionate, and absolutely convinced that life is one big adventure. She’s eager to learn, eager to love, and eager to be part of a family who will guide her into adulthood with patience, structure, and lots of praise. This girl is sharp. She thrives on mental enrichment, puzzles, snuffle mats, lick mats, and Kongs are her daily favorites, and she solves them with impressive speed. She’s already mastered ringing bells to go outside and sleeps through the night without a peep. On leash, she’s fabulous and loves going for walks. Like a typical adolescent, Tiffy will try to push boundaries, but with the right corrections she becomes wonderfully submissive and responsive. She does best with someone who can confidently tell her “no” and “off,” then follow up with praise and treats. She wants to succeed, she just needs someone to show her how. Tiffy would do best in a cat‑free home, as she finds chasing them a little too exciting. She also has the potential to thrive as an only dog, soaking up all the attention she craves. She loves playing with her foster brothers, but she can get jealous when other dogs receive affection and may try to steal toys or treats. With consistency and structure, she’ll continue to mature beautifully. Her favorite activities include: Playing fetch (she’d love a ball launcher) - Tug of war. - Solving puzzles like a tiny genius. - Giving endless kisses. - Snuggling so deeply she feels like she’s trying to become part of your soul. - She’s also surprisingly sweet about wearing coats or sweaters, she doesn’t mind at all and looks adorable doing it. Tiffy is still in her puppy stage, so she needs to be crated when left alone for longer periods, even though she’s not a big fan of it yet. She also tends to get anxious or carsick during car rides, so she’ll need a patient family willing to help her build confidence there. Tiffy is a bright, loving, eager‑to‑please pup who’s ready to bond deeply with her forever family. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and love you with her whole heart, Tiffy is waiting to meet you. 📩 Apply to Adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Dog

Meet Ellie, the happiest little dog around! Ellie came to us as a stray and without anyone claiming her, is now up for adoption! She really is the sweetest girl who LOVES being with people. Winning the shelter award for the happiest tail, Ellie knows how to put a smile on your face with the way she greets us every morning. However, she needs a home where she can get lots of love and attention more than just the time someone's at the shelter for and she more than deserves it. It breaks our hearts seeing such an amazing and happy dog stuck at the shelter and we're hoping she finds her forever home with her perfect person! Ellie is spayed, currently up to date on vaccines, and is now looking for her forever home!

Hello there! My name is Manny/Chip! I am the most handsomest Boxer/Lab mix ever!! And my personality is just as attractive! I was given a chance at a new life when Artemis pulled me from the pound – they were going to euthanize me, can you believe it?!?! Well, now I’m safe… and full of hope as I anxiously await that loving family that is out there for me. A little about me: * I was born around 9/04/21 * I weigh about 55lbs * I’m already neutered * I’m heartworm negative and UTD on vaccines and preventatives! * I LOVE playing ball and getting belly rubs. * Hanging out with my person is my most favorite thing * I promise – I would make you a GREAT canine buddy!! Please give me a chance to win your heart and become your best friend forever! I really need to find my new family… that very well may be you! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Hello hoomans!! Kevon here. I’m currently on the hunt for a family of my very own. I’m a 57 pound male boxer mix who was born around 5/08/23 and, let me tell you I’ve got the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle-ready charm to steal your heart. I love making friends! Whether it’s playing with other doggos, or my absolute favorite – snuggling with hoomans, Do you want a bestie for adventures and zoomies? That’s me! Need a lap warmer for movie nights? Also me! I’m the best of both worlds – active and playful, but also the perfect snuggle bug. And I’m up to date on my vaccines but because my previous owners did not take proper care of me I'm currently being treated for heartworms on slow kill method, which Artemis is funding and will continue to fund until I'm cured... even if you adopt me so please don't let that stop you from meeting me. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and adorable new family member, I’d love to meet you! Let’s make some tail-wagging memories together. I can’t wait to be your best friend forever! Story
Paddy is a boxer/terrier mix (est DOB 10/30/22) who weighs ~50 lbs, is fully vetted, heartworm negative, neutered, and current on all preventatives — translation: fully ready for his forever home. He came to Artemis with a little “swagger step.” A vet confirmed it’s from an old, un-treated fracture that healed wrong. Sad human decision in his past — but the cool part? Paddy turned it into his signature move. He’s not “handicapped.” He’s handi-capable. He just walks like he’s got rhythm. And it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Paddy is the friendliest lil cookie — super dog social, gentle, and respectful. He even naturally submits to dominant dogs. He’s the kind of dog who tries to get along with everyone. Paddy is eagerly waiting for his forever family… a soft couch… and a human or two who will finally choose him on purpose. Could that be you? Story
Our Lady Lou.. This amazingly adorable and super social girl is looking for her retirement home. Lady has lost everything in life 💔 When we first met her at DAC, she was sooo shut down — shaking uncontrollably and clearly completely heartbroken after losing her familiar person, her dad, and ending up at the shelter. Since then, our sweet girl has also lost the sister she came into the shelter with and was deeply bonded to. But somehow… despite all of that loss, Lady’s pure heart still knows nothing but love 🥹❤️ Lady is incredibly social with other dogs and absolutely should have a forever home with canine friends. She’s a huge cuddle bug, a tiny bit of a bed hog 😂, and overall one of the easiest and sweetest foster dogs we’ve ever had. She’s potty trained, does not require a crate when left alone, and truly just wants a soft couch, some furry friends, and humans to love. She’s believed to be about 10 years young and we’re hoping she still has many beautiful years ahead of her 🐾 Could you be her soft place to land? Meet Indi 🤍 This 50 lb pittie mix has quite the story — rescued from the streets and already proving he’s nothing but love. Indi is the definition of a happy, resilient boy who’s ready to leave his past behind and soak up everything a real home has to offer. Indi is suuuuper friendly with people and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. He’s playful, cuddly, and always down to share his toys (no guarding here!). He’s done great with dog meets so far and seems to enjoy having buddies around. Whether it’s playtime, couch snuggles, or cruising on a golf cart, Indi is just happy to be included. He’s doing well with potty breaks on a lead and is learning the ropes of leash walking and basic commands like “sit.” He’s a smart boy and eager to please — he just needs someone willing to keep guiding him. Indi may have a bit of a mischievous streak (one time he jumped the fence.. but not in a houdini way just in a stood at the other side of it looking confused and wondering how to get back), so a secure yard or supervised outdoor time will be important for him. He also has an old eye injury that left him unable to see out of one eye, but don’t let that fool you — it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Indi lives life full speed ahead with nothing but joy. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, resilient companion who will love you with his whole heart, Indi is your guy 🧡 Apply here! https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
She was chained outside in Detroit — tangled between overgrown trees, no shade, no warmth, no straw. That was Midge's life before rescue. But it wasn't until our friends The Karens saw her photo on Facebook and reached out with their own pictures and proof of her past that we truly understood everything this little girl had survived. We don't know how she went from that chain to a shelter, but what we do know is this: Midge is safe now, and she will never have to live that life again. Even after rescue, the road hasn't been easy. Midge has gone through heartworm treatment while under our care, and yet — through all of it — she is wiggly, happy, and full of heart. Midge is pint-sized (just 41 lbs.) and is discovering what it means to be truly loved, and she is blossoming more every single day. At 2–3 years old, she's past the puppy chaos but still young enough for years of adventures ahead. A low-key cuddle enthusiast, Midge would rather lounge on the couch with you than run a marathon. She's thriving in her foster home with canine siblings, has mastered "sit," and is fully potty trained and crate trained. Midge is dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and the perfect little house hippo — quiet, cuddly, and content to spend the whole day by your side. She is a perfect little lady, with a perfect little pout. Please apply to give Midge the forever home she has always deserved. A few things to know about Midge: *2–3 years old, 41 lbs. of pure sweetness *Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped *Dog, Cat and Kid Friendly *Low energy, high cuddles *Knows "SIT" and eager to please *Potty Trained Apply here https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
