Story
Cali enjoys spending time with humans, but not other canine companions. She would need to be the only dog in her new home. She is also very strong on the leash while walking but does take correction. With some basic training we believe she'd be a really good dog for a couple or single person. Cali will be UTD on vaccines, spayed and will be microchipped prior to going home.

Story
Petey is a gigantic goof who does not know he's almost 90 pounds! This handsome hunk is as silly as they come and has plenty of energy for any outdoor activity. But of course, Petey contains multitudes... at home, he's a total couch potato and loves the calm and quiet pace that only a home can provide. Petey loves to play fetch and willingly shares his toys during playtime! He takes treats very softly and enjoys belly rubs. Petey loves every adult he meets when he's out and about but needs to live in an adult-only home! According to Petey, cats make great toys... so for the sake of cats everywhere, we're putting a stop to that, too. To recap: Tons (90 pounds) of fun? CHECK Goof with no idea he's 90 pounds? CHECK Rude around kids? CHECK Kind of a jerk to cats? CHECK Not interested in sharing a home with other dogs? CHECK Missed the puppy school class titled "Sharing Is Caring"? CHECK Great couch warmer? Story
We dare you to keep a straight face when you meet Trevor! He's so sweet and silly, that we're pretty sure it's impossible not to smile when he's around. He's sweet as pie, goofy as heck, and eager to play in the grass and then crawl into your lap. Trevor looooves other dogs and is super tolerant of exuberant play styles but also respectful of the more mellow players. Trevor is an energetic babe who would do best in an active household! He does well with people and pups of all shapes and sizes and will make a delightful addition to all sorts of homes. **Please Note** Our pet listings update automatically every 4 hours, so they are as current as possible. Story
Zeke is a rescue dog we got as a pup. He isn't used to being around a lot of people. It is just me and my husband so he will bark when someone does and then calms down. He is an excellent watchdog. He is used to sunningaroud on our huge lawn without leash. He always cones back. He loves his huge crate inside out house and often prefer the crate and watches out the windows from it. Zeke is Bulloxer. Very handsome. He would thrive in a house two adults and with a nice size property. He would love a lot of attention as he wants to please. Due to health issues, we have to move to a sister living. You would fall in love with Zeke. He is a loner but would get acclimated quickly. Needs energetic person who can devote the time he deserves. I feel terrible about having to rehome him but I have no choice. Need areal kind hearted person to welcome him. He is 4 years old now.

Story
UPDATE: Maia was pregnant when we was attacked and had 6 puppies on June 23rd.  Two of her surviving puppies, Ziva & Zinnia, are ready for adoption and we need to find a nice furever home for Maia as well.  She is very sweet with people including children.  Maia is blind but navigates familiar spaces smoothly.  She loves to lay in the grass while her foster mom works in the garden.  Maia can be an only dog or possibly go with a calm male dog. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a Maia update since she was attacked last week. First, we thank you for all the generous donations we received on behalf of Maia! We asked & boxer lovers answered! She's doing really well. In fact, she’s healing SO well, she'll be cleared for transport this weekend!  She's taking antibiotics, pain meds & having her wounds cleaned.  We'd love to have a foster/adopter to welcome this sweet girl when she arrives in the Northeast this weekend.  She deserves love & comfort after this trauma. Since we've had Maia, we learned she is heartworm positive. We started her treatment plan which is paid for by your generosity.  She is also visually impaired. She walks well outside on leash but inside bumps into walls and doors.  It's also possible she's never been inside a house.  When dogs bark, she freezes but with encouragement from her foster she remains calm.   Please continue helping us with Maia! If you can provide a safe place for her arrival, please contact your coordinator or apply here: https://www.chelseashopeboxerrescue.com/adoption-application/April 24, 2024, 8:28 am

Story
UPDATE: Felicity has arrived in her foster home and although she's a bit confused by all the new activity she is friendly and goes with the flow.  She had a bath, went shopping for a coat because it's cold in the Northeast and enjoyed some naps in a cozy bed. *********************************** Found roaming by a busy highway w her two siblings Felicity was saved from a life on the streets.  She is a sweet and friendly girl! She would make a great companion to a male dog or do fine as an only. She has been learning how great a life full of safety and love can be!April 24, 2024, 8:28 am

Story
Tino is an outgoing and thick guy. He loves to be pet, given treats and be in the yard with his handlers. He isn't interested in playing much, but a nice bed and bone seems to occupy him. We suggest Tino being the only animal in a home as well with their being no young children. Tino also has to be adopted out to people who are familiar and or have bully breed experience.Tino is UTD on vaccines, neutered and will be microchipped.

Piper is still a puppy. She is very energetic, outgoing and needs some basic training. Piper loves to be in the play yard chasing a ball so a yard would be very beneficial for her. Piper is a little weary of other dogs, but we are working on properly socializing her. Piper will be UTD on vaccines May 4, 2024, is spayed and will be microchipped.
