Easy going, great with other dogs Buddy showed up at a Foster's property and came in, sat and then curled up on the foster. He's just an adorable loving dog! Someone took good care of him before he was dumped. We posted him everywhere no one showed. He is so wonderful!! He listens so well and has wormed his way into my home with all my babies. He’s amazing whoever gets this dog will have a best friend as long as he lives. We were lucky to be the ones to take him in Age: 2-3 years WT: 68lbs. Temperament: Good with respectful kids and dogs. Vetting: neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative. Chop entered Gwinnett Co shelter in early 2026 after his family was evicted and he was left behind in their former home. They never came to reclaim him, and he spent a few months at the shelter before entering our foster system. However, you would never know that anything bad had ever happened to his sweet, happy boy! Chop has proved to be very adaptable to new situations, and instantly befriends everyone he meets. He has a very gentle, friendly disposition and just wants to be where his people are. Chop is around 3-5 years old, and while he was a bit underweight at the shelter, he quicky got up to his ideal weight of 56 pounds in foster care. He seems like a bit of a simpleton on account of his goofy smile, but he picked up on basic commands very quickly and has done great with his crate training. This happy guy gets along well with other dogs and has a gentle, easygoing temperament. He is a bit of a velcro dog, and loves affection. While he hasn’t spent much time with kids that we know of, he shows no signs of reactivity or resource guarding and has a naturally soft, submissive personality that suggests he would do well in a family home. However, Chop does seem overly interested in cats and other small animals so he should not live in a home with them - he becomes very focused and will chase if they run. Chop is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on prevention. He is ready for a home where he can just be part of the action, continue to learn and finally settle into the love and stability he deserves. Dexter is a sweet, goofy 9-year-old Boxer/Pit mix (65 lbs) who’s equal parts couch snuggler and fetch enthusiast. He loves people most of all and would happily trade solo toy time for a human throwing the ball instead—though he’ll entertain himself in a pinch. In a series of bad breaks...Dexter recently got a bit too enthusiastic during backyard ball time and perforated his eye. The vet said it had to go, so he's now got a permanent wink going on. Honestly? We think it makes him look even cuter! My name is Max! Don't worry... I am your friend already. I am everyone's friend; at least that's what I think! I am a 12 to 18 month old Boxer. I am around 50 lbs and full grown. I am a typical boxer. I am goofy (that's #1), happy, energetic, jubilant and I wake up excited about life. I love to eat and will do most anything for a treat. I have zero issues with guarding food or toys, even though I like them all so much. I am best friends with every dog I meet... I mean, they are my bestest friends, I guess I may not be theirs but I try! I live with three other dogs and play is the name of the game! I am even good around cats BUT the cats have to be dog savvy and stand their ground. Remember - I am playful so if a cat wants to play chase, I gladly will. I bet you ALL my dog food that I will absolutely love the kids too. I am bouncy though so 8+ would be fantastic. I am crate trained, housebroken and great out in public. My public places so far have consisted of all of the home improvement stores like Home Depot, Lowes and garden nurseries. I am calm and like to observe others doing their thing. I need a little leash work and the right gear to limit my pulling. I absolutely love belly rubs and giving full hugs to my humans. I need a family who will do things with me - take me out, play and even maybe provide a fun canine sibling to romp with! I love the comforts of blankets and couches and human laps.
