Sadly some life changes have left her family with no choice but to rehome their beautiful dog. Sara is an active girl who adores the outdoors. A fenced-in yard would be great for her. Sweet Sara is house-trained and already knows how to behave in the home. She has lived with children and is warm and friendly when meeting new people. Sara is 53 pounds and has been well taken care of. She is UTD, spayed and is heart worm negative.  Sara was never socialized with other dogs so she will need to be an only dog. She actually participated in pack walks and walks easily with other dogs but can not share space with them. Sara is also a great leash walker,  something else that she did not do a lot of, but we have found her to be great on leash.   Her foster mom said "Sara is just a delight!" she loves her toys and the couch too! Lucy is a beautiful little Boxer mix girl, about 10 years old and 40 lbs, who loves going for walks and playing outdoors.  She’s had a fair amount of training and knows her basic commands, but as with any dog, she could use an owner who will keep up her training. Lucy is cautious upon meeting new people but once she trusts you, her loving side shines through.  She has a strong personality that requires an experienced dog owner. Lucy loves to go for rides in the car, walks at the park, swimming, playing with her toys, and spending time with her favorite volunteers. She has spent far too long waiting for her forever family to come along (almost 7 years in the shelter...). Jasper is a black Boxer mix who's about 8 years old & weighs 83 pounds. He was as a stray rescued down south and did very well while fostered there, learning to socialize with other dogs and people. Once here, our kennel staff and volunteers have continued to work with his behaviors and training, and Jasper is such a smart boy.  Jasper would not be a good fit for a family who has never had a dog before as he is nervous around new people. Jasper does go on pack walks and has made some canine friends who he plays well with, he has lived in a home with other dogs and we know for sure he does not like cats. He has also not really had experience around children, and younger kids would probably give him unneeded stress. Jasper is very smart and can take on new tricks and lessons well. He is crate trained. Jasper is hoping to find a FURever home out there somewhere, a family who is willing to take a chance on this sweet boy. Meet Nelson Bailey! Nelson is a 3-year old Boxer mix who weighs about 50 pounds (But is SHORT! He is just all muscle!)  He has the cutest underbite that just completes his adorable face! Nelson LOVES other dogs, and loves to play with them. Nelson would do best in a low traffic home. Nelson bonds very strongly with his owner and feels as though he needs to be the protector, so he wouldn't be able to meet new people on walks but he is so happy with just staying by his people.
