Story
Zion is a bouncy and playful pup who loves playing fetch and exploring. He enjoys walks with his human and also thrives when he has room to romp and play in a fenced-in yard. With his ADORABLE underbite and a talent for making the funniest faces, Zion will keep you smiling with his charm. Zion is very affectionate and loves belly rubs, head massages and cuddle sessions. Zion is treat-motivated and has already learned commands like "sit" and "stay." He's even got the hang of bringing his Kong to his designated blanket area for some enrichment. While he does get excited when we (his foster parents) come home, we're working on helping him manage that enthusiasm. When out on walks, he remains calm and non-reactive around cyclists, people, and other dogs.In his dog playgroup at the shelter, Zion started out cautiously, but it wasn't long before he was happily bouncing around with his playmates. He is a sweetheart, especially during one-on-one playtime. Zion is a true gem who thrives as part of a pack and would love a forever home where he can explore, play, and make you laugh every day! Story
Mack is a gentle, old-soul gentleman who believes the best things in life are the quiet moments-a soft nuzzle, a peaceful walk, or a calm lean against a trusted human. He doesn't demand the spotlight or jump around; instead, he offers steady, loving companionship and a calming presence that makes any home feel a little warmer. In playgroup, Mack was respectful but a bit grumbly. As an older dog, his high-energy days are behind him. He can get a little squawky when other dogs bounce around too much, and his movements are slow and deliberate, suggesting his joints may ache. His pace is steady and measured, perfect for someone who appreciates a calm, predictable companion.Mack is looking for a patient, understanding human who can be his anchor-a person who will help him feel safe and secure in the world. He thrives on quiet connection, gentle walks, and the comfort of knowing he's loved. For someone seeking a loyal, affectionate, low-key companion, Mack is an absolute treasure.Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Hi there! I`m Reba, a sweet senior gal looking for my forever home. I`ve got a heart full of love and I`m always ready to shower my future family with affection and cuddles. After spending some time on my own, I`m hoping to find a special person who will cherish me and give me the love and attention I`ve been dreaming about. I`m looking for a calm and loving home where I can spend my golden years being pampered, loved, and becoming your absolute best friend. Are you ready to welcome me into your heart?I’m full grown at ~50 lbs.How did I get here? Transferred from Forsyth County Animal Shelter.**I am currently living in a foster home - please fill out a survey and select a phone appointment to complete the adoption process. He is such a sweet boy! A real protector! He is not very fond of small dogs but listens well to commands. He’s a big cuddler and loves belly rubs! He’s a very great pup but needs more space and attention than we cannot give him at the moment.

Sweet Darla turned 1 year old September 22, 2025. My family received her as a gift when she was 8 weeks old. I have two children and multiple nieces and nephews who all love to play with Darla. She is an amazing addition to any family and has been a sweet blessing. She has a healthy appetite but a sensitive tummy....so no big xxxx@xxxx.x ! Full of playful energy!! We would love to keep her but unfortunately with the way our finances have been and i recently lost my job we cannot afford her. We NEED her to go to a good home.
