Story
Meet Zion!Zion is a medium-sized, energetic Boxer/Staffy mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He's playful, confident, and independent, with a fun-loving spirit that keeps things exciting around the house.Zion is both house-trained and crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows several commands including sit, paw, down, and gentle. He's currently working on wait/stay and is eager to keep learning with a committed family. Like many young dogs, Zion is still polishing his manners and can be jumpy or mouthy when meeting new people, so a home without small children is best for him. Zion currently lives with elderly cats in his foster home and he tends to leave them alone. Slow introductions are always recommended when introducing to animals and humans. One of Zion's favorite things is tug-of-war, and he absolutely loves playing with his foster brother, Avery. He would thrive in a home with another playful, energetic dog who can match his enthusiasm. A home with a backyard-ideally fenced-is a must, as Zion loves to run, play, and burn off his energy.Zion's ideal family is active, patient, and committed to continuing his training, understanding that puppy tendencies don't disappear overnight. In return, they'll get a loyal, fun, and adventurous companion who's ready to go places and grow alongside them.If you're looking for a spirited, affectionate dog who's ready for his next chapter, Zion might just be your perfect match 🐶✨To inquire about Zion, please email his foster with the subject "Interest in Zion 264064" to wcacfosterfam24@gmail.com Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 43.5 Age: 1yrs 10mths 0wks

Story
Mack is a gentle, old-soul gentleman who believes the best things in life are the quiet moments-a soft nuzzle, a peaceful walk, or a calm lean against a trusted human. He doesn't demand the spotlight or jump around; instead, he offers steady, loving companionship and a calming presence that makes any home feel a little warmer. In playgroup, Mack was respectful but a bit grumbly. As an older dog, his high-energy days are behind him. He can get a little squawky when other dogs bounce around too much, and his movements are slow and deliberate, suggesting his joints may ache. His pace is steady and measured, perfect for someone who appreciates a calm, predictable companion.Mack is looking for a patient, understanding human who can be his anchor-a person who will help him feel safe and secure in the world. He thrives on quiet connection, gentle walks, and the comfort of knowing he's loved. For someone seeking a loyal, affectionate, low-key companion, Mack is an absolute treasure.Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
Star is the definition of a "pocket boxer," just without the trademark pogo-stick shenanigans. She may be a bit shut down right now, as shelter life has kept her tail tucked, but her fun personality is absolutely there beneath the surface. With the right person, Star will blossom as she experiences the world a little bit at a time with calm reassurance and patience. She is sweet as can be and more than ready to snuggle. Star is easy to walk and enjoys gentle outings. She's looking for a loving home where her confidence can grow and her playful spirit can truly shine. She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have cats or another dog, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
Meet Petrie – Your New Best Friend in Puppy Form! Petrie is an adorable, speckled-nosed, mixed-breed puppy, and he’s already stealing hearts everywhere he goes. With his gorgeous, shiny black coat and the sweet white marking on his face, he’s as handsome as they come—but it’s his personality that really seals the deal. This little guy is incredibly affectionate and absolutely loves to cuddle. When he’s not snuggled up for a nap, Petrie is busy being a happy, playful puppy—sleeping hard, playing hard, and soaking up all the love. He does wonderfully with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy in his forever home. For such a young pup, Petrie is already doing excellent with potty training, and he’s food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He’s just beginning crate training and is off to a great start. One of his most charming traits? Petrie is a little “talker”—he makes the most adorable sounds that will keep you smiling all day long. Petrie is looking for a family ready to continue his puppy training, give him lots of love, and enjoy all the joy that comes with raising a young pup. In return, he promises endless cuddles, laughs, and unconditional love. If you’re ready for a sweet, snuggly, chatty puppy to grow up by your side, Petrie just might be your perfect match.

Story
Does your dog need a buddy? Do you want a guardian to protect you from all delivery people? Well, Nehi is your gal! She wants to be with her people and dogs, but is content to curl up in the room with everyone rather than being RIGHT next to you. She's just the easiest housemate ever. Nehi is crate trained, but her foster stopped crating her as she's very trustworthy and responsible. Her "outdoorsy" spirit shines through in her love for walks and being in the yard. This sweet girl possesses a calm and gentle nature, though a touch of shyness reminds us of her former life where she was chained up in a yard around the clock. Nehi is a truly exceptional dog. Beneath her initial shyness lies a heart brimming with love, just waiting for the comfort and security of her forever home to fully blossom. Could you be the one to offer this deserving girl the happy ending she so deserves?

Story
I've had brodie for 3 and a half years, I got it at 6 months old. I am married with 4 kids and we all love brodie. My yougest daughter was six months old when brodie join the family, they grew up together. My yougest daughter ride him time to time and he loves it. Hes a great house dog. Brodie is potty trained, his recall is a whistle and with the snap of your fingers means to go. I'm hoping to find someone with a fenced in back yard where brodie came roam and run. That's what he needs and I can't provide that. My living situation isn't ideal and brodie deserves better. He is super playful and love attention, he's so spoiled.
