Story
Zion is a bouncy and playful pup who loves playing fetch and exploring. He enjoys walks with his human and also thrives when he has room to romp and play in a fenced-in yard. With his ADORABLE underbite and a talent for making the funniest faces, Zion will keep you smiling with his charm. Zion is very affectionate and loves belly rubs, head massages and cuddle sessions. Zion is treat-motivated and has already learned commands like "sit" and "stay." He's even got the hang of bringing his Kong to his designated blanket area for some enrichment. While he does get excited when we (his foster parents) come home, we're working on helping him manage that enthusiasm. When out on walks, he remains calm and non-reactive around cyclists, people, and other dogs.In his dog playgroup at the shelter, Zion started out cautiously, but it wasn't long before he was happily bouncing around with his playmates. He is a sweetheart, especially during one-on-one playtime. Zion is a true gem who thrives as part of a pack and would love a forever home where he can explore, play, and make you laugh every day! Story
Mack is a gentle, old-soul gentleman who believes the best things in life are the quiet moments-a soft nuzzle, a peaceful walk, or a calm lean against a trusted human. He doesn't demand the spotlight or jump around; instead, he offers steady, loving companionship and a calming presence that makes any home feel a little warmer. In playgroup, Mack was respectful but a bit grumbly. As an older dog, his high-energy days are behind him. He can get a little squawky when other dogs bounce around too much, and his movements are slow and deliberate, suggesting his joints may ache. His pace is steady and measured, perfect for someone who appreciates a calm, predictable companion.Mack is looking for a patient, understanding human who can be his anchor-a person who will help him feel safe and secure in the world. He thrives on quiet connection, gentle walks, and the comfort of knowing he's loved. For someone seeking a loyal, affectionate, low-key companion, Mack is an absolute treasure.Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
This is Boba.🧋 To my knowledge she is a German Shepherd with Pitbull mix. She is around 7 months old and is around 35-40 pounds. Boba lived outside in the hot and freezing weather. I decided to take her in due to her living situation and the past owners didn’t take care of her. Boba is super sweet but takes time for her to get comfortable with you. Unsure if she is comfortable with other dogs or cats. My dogs aren’t to fond of her so unsure if she can stay with me but I had to at least give her a comfortable shelter for a few days or weeks

Story
This is my sweet baby girl Macy. She is almost three years old, although she still acts like a puppy. She has so much love to give and gets so excited meeting new people she'll knock her own self over. She has cute little freckles on her muzzle and an eiffel tower on her scruff. She loves going on hikes, chasing anything that moves, chewing on toys, and cuddling in the bed. She hates baths, extreme temperatures, and fire alarms. I found Macy a couple years ago in my friend's parking lot. We asked around to see if she belonged to anyone, scanned her for a chip, put up signs, but no one claimed her. I took her in as a foster and very quickly fell in love with her. She has been the best thing to ever come into my life. Unfortunately, due to medical complications that have come up for me, I am no longer able to take care of her in the way that she deserves. I want to make sure that she doesn't end up in a shelter, or worse, euthanized. I need my girl to go to someone loving and caring.
