Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.DOB: 09/20/2016Hi there, my name is Bishop, and I am looking for my forever home. My foster mom says that I couldn't hurt a fly. I am such a loving, gentle, snuggly soul. Although I am 7 years old, I believe that I am 7 years young. I love to meet new people, go on adventures, go on walks, and just spend all my time with people. I have been around all kinds of people, from kids to adults and I love them all. I have also been around dogs and cats, and like them too. I really am just a lovebug and as my foster mom also says: I am petite and sweet. I have been at RUFF for quite some time as I was undergoing treatment for heart-worms, but I am happy to say that the treatment is over, and I am now heart-worm negative! I still need to be neutered, but this can't happen until August, as we have to wait so many months after the treatment was finished to do the surgery. This does not stop me from being adopted as I am still able to go home with you under the foster-to-adopt program that RUFF has. If you are interested in adding such a chill, laid-back, lover of car rides, complete love bug to your family, I'm your guy! Please don't hesitate to email RUFF for more information on me, and for a meet and greet. I look forward to being a part of your family.  (KG/AF*) Up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, will be neutered after my heartworm treatment is completed.    Adoption Fee:  $100.00    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2024, 6:59 pm

Story
Hi, it's me Beans. I wanted to tell you about me thru the eyes of my foster mom. Beans is a great, super sweet, well behaved dog. He is housetrained, crate trained ( sleeps well in crate at night). He knows sit, is very treat motivated (but watch those fingers he really likes food). He likes to cuddle and be with his people. He also walks well on leash. He gets along with my older female dog ( but very slow introductions with any dogs is a must to have him adjust well, him or any new dog). We do not know how he is with cats or children at this time. He is an inside dog and should not be crated all day. He is a youngster and needs lots of exercise. An ideal home would be with a stay at home person. Rides very nicely in the car. He has been neutered, up to dates on all vaccines and microchipped. He is heartworm positive but please don't let heartworms deter you from taking him home, they are completely treatable and non contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center is generously providing a $400 sponsorship toward treatment. If you have any more questions about me you can email my foster mom at dogfosterkim@gmail.com Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 61.5 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Halle Bailey is a coconut - hard on the exterior but sweet once she opens up. She is initially reserved and a bit skittish (strange noises and movements make her uncomfortable), but will become less tense given time and once trust has been built. Something in her past has led her to not be immediately trusting, so patience will be of utmost importance. Once that trust is built, she will make some human a very loyal companion.A volunteer took her home for a vun vacation. Halle Bailey was a wonderful guest. She sat in the office while the volunteer worked. She loves rope toys. She just laid on the couch and chilled. She seems like she might be potty trained. She was very respectful of the house. Was so gentle with the volunteer. She loved the car ride. Sat like a perfect lady. She was content just laying on the couch and playing with her rope toys and nyla bones. She also loved to play in the backyard. During a recent playgroup session, she was stiff and intensely stared down her playmates with no interest in playing; thus, the 'no other dogs' label. If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line " Halle Bailey 243684".She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between children at all times. Little mamma is very spunky! She is high energy and loves to play! She is great with kids and other animals! We hate to have to let her go but due to our HOA and city restrictions we cannot keep her. She must be spayed at six months. She will be a great addition to any household! She does come with registration papers as a pet only!
