Meet Jasper!! This handsome boys story almost ended back in January. He had been picked up as a stray and than sat in a rural high-kill shelter in Tx. After 3 wks his time was up and this boy needed a hero quickly! There was just something about this boy where we felt he deserved a 2nd chance. Jasper is approximately a year, fully vetted (neutered/vacs/chipped). He is fantastic with other dogs, doesn't care about cats, LOOOVES kids and men. He is a snuggler that just craves human attention. He would do best in a home that will provide him with rules/structure/boundaries. We adopted Zeus in 2019 after he was found in Houston. He is a loveable, cuddly dog with a lot of energy. He’s house trained, leash trained, crate trained and knows several commands. He is smart. We’ve brought him to a trainer and he was impressed with how receptive and trainable he is. There has always been tension between him and our other dog that has resulted in a few fights. He does go to daycare and has never had an issue with other dogs there though. We have 2 young kids and are worried that if they get in a fight, the kids might be affected. Zeus has never shown aggression towards our kids, but he is medium sized (~60 lbs) and high energy so he would probably do better in a house with adults or teens and up who can’t easily be knocked over if he’s running around outside. He will be an extremely loyal companion who provides you with love and attention. We’re devastated at this decision but want him to have the life he deserves and we can’t give that to him right now.
