Story
Lars is a handsome 2 years old, 76 lb. Terrier/Boxer mix brindle with white paws and bib around his neck. He's a big goofy people person and a love bug.  He loves to play, chew bones and give big sloppy kisses.  He is crate trained and appears to be good with other dogs and cats and school aged children. He does jump sometimes so probably not a good choice for a family with small children. Lars is neutered and has all of his vaccines.  He is being rehomed due to his owner's change in employment and just not being home very much to give him the loving home that he deserves.  Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@Yahoo.com for an application if Lars sounds like the right dog for your family. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. Story
Introducing Sage! 🐾💛 This 3-year-old Boxer/Terrier mix is the perfect blend of sweet, silly, and easygoing. Sage has a gentle, loving personality with just a touch of playful bounce—she’s got that fun, goofy side that comes out in the cutest zoomies when she’s feeling extra happy. She’s very much a “Velcro dog,” happiest when she’s right by your side. Whether you’re relaxing at home or moving about your day, Sage will be your loyal little shadow. She absolutely adores her people and prefers being close to them, though she does great with other dogs too. Sage is incredibly well-mannered—she listens beautifully, is both crate and house trained, and has a calm, medium-to-low energy level that makes her an easy fit for most homes. She loves toys, enjoys her playful moments, and then is perfectly content to settle in and just be near you. Her foster says they’ve truly never seen her upset—she’s just the happiest girl with a consistently sunny, loving spirit. She does wonderful with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her an all-around amazing companion. Sage is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever home where she can stay right by your side 💕

Story
Introducing Vesta! Vesta is an absolutely stunning 11-month-old Boxer/Terrier mix who turns heads wherever she goes. Her sleek, shiny silver coat looks like it was polished, and her striking amber eyes are truly mesmerizing—full of intelligence, warmth, and curiosity. Beyond her beauty, Vesta has a wonderful personality to match. She’s snuggly, affectionate, and hilariously funny, with a charming habit of “talking” to you to let you know exactly what she wants. She has a good bit of happy, youthful energy and would thrive with an active family—she’d make an excellent companion for hikes, runs, adventures, or playtime, then happily curl up for cuddles afterward. Vesta is friendly and does well with kids and other dogs, but she would do best in a cat-free home as her instincts may lead her to chase. She’s crate trained and doing well with house training, and she’s eager to continue learning with her forever family. If you’re looking for a dog who is equal parts gorgeous, affectionate, playful, and full of personality, Vesta may just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Paisley! 🐾 Paisley is a 3 year old Boxer mix with a sweet, gentle personality and just the right mix of playful and laid back. She loves going for walks, playing with toys, and hopping in the car for adventures, but she’s also perfectly happy snuggled up beside her people at the end of the day. She’s such a funny girl with lots of personality — especially when she starts dancing for treats or toys! Paisley loves making her humans laugh and always wants to be included in whatever is going on around her. Paisley does great with kids and other dogs, but she does like to chase cats, so a feline-free home would be best for her. She’s crate trained, mostly house trained, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever family 💛

Story
Violet is a loving, people-oriented pup who was adopted 2 years ago and has been an absolute cuddle bug ever since. She adores being close to her humans – her favorite things are going for walks and then curling up on your lap to relax..  She's also fine just going out in a fenced yard. Unfortunately, Violet and the family's other dog aren’t able to get along, so with a heavy heart the family is looking for a new home where Violet can truly thrive. Violet would do best in: A home where she is the only dog, With someone who loves hugs & snuggles, and has gentle structure, A person or family who enjoys spending time together. She is so deserving of a calm, loving environment where she can be the center of someone’s world and the recipient of lots of warmth and affection. I want to be sure we can get her there! While experienced owners are always welcome, Vi is very self-sufficient and easy. She is 4.5 years old and 46 lb. If you’re interested in meeting Violet or want to learn more about her, please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com.    (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
