Story
Meet Mr. Toad - not actually a toad, but an absolutely legendary dog. This boxer is 100% wiggle, 0% chill. That's not true; he naps pretty hard when he's done running around. But he doesn't walk into a room - he ARRIVES, full body wags, eyes sparkling, jowls and tongue getting stuck and knotted up like well-hydrated bread dough, ready to greet you like you just returned from war. He doesn't perceive personal space or boundaries so buckle up.Mr. Toad operates under his own personal 3 Tenets of Boxer Charm:1. Every human is my best friend.2. Every best friend must pet me immediately.3. Butt scratches are not optional.Failure to comply with these rules will result in dramatic emotional damage (to him, obviously) followed by an aggressive campaign of wiggling, nudging, and general goofiness until you correct your mistake. He is highly motivated by toys, food, attention, the wind; it truly depends on the day, time and maybe even the phase of the moon. Mr. Toad is not for the faint of heart. He is for someone who wants a live-in stand up comedian, a professional goofball, and a certified joy machine who will turn your home into a daily celebration of nonsense and love. If you're ready to laugh constantly, play often, and commit to a lifetime of enthusiastic wiggles, Mr. Toad is ready to be your new best friend (whether you agreed to it or not.)If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. SAVE is operating by appointment-only for approved adopters. For more information please call SAVE at 609-309-5214. Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 42 Age: 4yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
Tucker is a young, male Boxer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the people he trusts. He’s social and eager on approach, easy to leash, and loves getting out of his kennel to explore. Tucker enjoys body handling and affection, though he can be easily distracted—there’s just so much going on in the world that catches his attention!Tucker is playful and energetic, especially when toys are involved. He has no issues with food or toy guarding and is happy to share space with people while eating. Squeaky toys are his favorite, and he enjoys interactive play with his handler. When it comes to new situations or unfamiliar people, Tucker can be unsure. He may bark or appear tense at first, especially if something looks or feels unusual, but with patience, calm handling, and positive reinforcement (treats help!), he is able to settle and build trust. Once he feels safe, his curiosity shines through.Tucker will need an experienced, adult-only home committed to continuing his behavior modification work. He is highly reactive to other dogs and must be the only pet in the home—no dogs and no cats. He would do best with adopters who understand fear-based reactivity and are willing to work with a professional trainer to help him feel more confident and secure.**Tucker’s Ideal Home:*** Adults only (no children)* No other dogs or cats* Experienced, patient adopters* Commitment to training and behavior support* A calm, structured environmentWith the right guidance and consistency, Tucker has the potential to be a deeply loyal companion who bonds strongly with his people. If you’re looking for a dog to invest time, understanding, and heart into—and you believe in second chances—Tucker may be your guy.Ask us about Tucker today and see if you’re the match he’s been waiting for.To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
Violet is a loving, people-oriented pup who was adopted 2 years ago and has been an absolute cuddle bug ever since. She adores being close to her humans – her favorite things are going for walks and then curling up on your lap to relax..  She's also fine just going out in a fenced yard. Unfortunately, Violet and the family's other dog aren’t able to get along, so with a heavy heart the family is looking for a new home where Violet can truly thrive. Violet would do best in: A home where she is the only dog, With someone who loves hugs & snuggles, and has gentle structure, A person or family who enjoys spending time together. She is so deserving of a calm, loving environment where she can be the center of someone’s world and the recipient of lots of warmth and affection. I want to be sure we can get her there! While experienced owners are always welcome, Vi is very self-sufficient and easy. She is 4.5 years old and 46 lb. If you’re interested in meeting Violet or want to learn more about her, please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com.    (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 8:16 pm
