Story
Paris is an 8 month old with a spunky attitude. Paris has been in a foster home with 4 other dogs, cats and kids. She loves to wrestle and play with other dogs. She doesn't bother the cats but would need continued positive reinforcement training as she grows older with cats in any home. Paris loves to swim in her baby pool. Paris is crate-trained, housebroken, walks amazingly on the leash. Paris has been all over Shadyside meeting all sorts of new people and just enjoying life. Her favorite hobby is to play soccer with her foster mom. Paris loves meeting new dogs on leash and making friends with all the people along the trail too! Paris does have Mircoopthalmia that she was born with. That means her eye did not fully develop in utero but she has been seen by the vet and cleared, it would just be something to monitor as she ages and she may need eye drops for dry eye on the third eyelid.Hi and thank you for your interest in adopting from The Foster Farm! Please note that all applicants MUST live within the state of Pennsylvania -- no exceptions will be made.In order to help us process your application, please include as much detail and information as possible. Our adoption process is not first come first serve – we work extremely hard to meet the needs of every pet individually, and we do not base our matches on appearances (color, coat length, etc.). If you’re inquiring about our adoption process, please visit thefosterfarm.org/adopt for information, policies, and procedures. If you have submitted an application at thefosterfarm.org/adopt and received the confirmation email from Cognito Forms (your receipt will appear as a copy of the application you submitted), we are reviewing your application. If you are approved to adopt, you will receive an email approval within one week! Because our organization is run entirely by four volunteers each with full-time jobs, families, personal pets, and foster animals, we are only able to reach out to approved applicants. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!Stay healthy and safe! The Foster Farm Team

Story
Melo is sweet, enjoys playing and being petted. He spends a lot of time alone due to my schedule and chews on a blanket for comfort. He understands sit, though is sometimes stubborn about it. Melo understands out because I don't allow him in the kitchen. He also understands up when I send him out of the basement and inside when it's time to go in the house.

Story
Meet Palms, a truly sweet and loving boy who radiates trust despite his past as a possible bait dog, evidenced by the scars covering much of his body. Palms loves attention and affection from people, and is excited to meet new friendly dog friends. He needs some practice walking on a leash nicely, but he's a quick learner. Palms is waiting for that special person to open their heart and provide him with a forever home filled with love and understanding. Story
Arriving to Pittsburgh soon! Coming from a shelter, my history is a bit of a mystery, but here's what my shelter friends said about me: "Oh Space Cadet where do I begin. I saw him wagging his tail begging to be taken out so I just had to take him out even though I didn't plan to meet him. He made my day! He is pure joy & happiness.... But also so scared . I picked him up and he froze and then when I put him down he walked away with his tail tucked, and every time I went to pet him he flinched. This boy has never known love but it has not hardened him. He's still the happiest cautious boy ever. He had a clean kennel and walked fine on leash! He's a little short stack and I'm so obsessed. I got lost in those crystal blue eyes . He got scared of my squeaky toy so I don't think he's ever had toys of his own. I will personally donate toys to whoever adopts or fosters this boy. He deserves them all . He is so eager to please, he jumps a bit but is easily redirected and just wants to make you happy. I temp tested him, had him next to other dogs in the runs, and walked down the kennel rows and he never showed aggression. Even flinching when a dog barked at him. This boy is a gem and I hope he gets scooped up by the most incredible family with infinite love to give " If you are interested in learning more about me or helping other dogs like me, please submit an application here: https://barkaboutit.org/apply/

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ghetti is a 2-3 year old American Bully. She was found running stray with another dog in WV. Spaghetti AKA Ghetti is as cute as they come! She's about 35-40lbs of beautiful bully. She does have some quirks(mainly her fearfulness of men and general shyness). BUT, she has made great strides since being in foster and we have every ounce of confidence that she will continue to flourish in the right home. An added bonus is that she comes with FREE ongoing support from the rescue's certified behavior consultant. In foster, she has become extremely close with the male in the home after her intial fearful behavior of him. The key with her is time, patience, space and understanding. She's really just learning about humans and it's important to continue to make her feel safe. Once she feels safe and trusts you, WATCH OUT! She will crawl into your lap and cuddle like you've never seen. She may even show you her goofy side which is so fun to see! Ghetti may need several meet and greets if you are male or have a male in your home, so if you're impatient or pushy DON'T APPLY. She would do best in a home with a calm male dog or as the only dog, no cats or small animals, respectful kids aged 10 and up. Her ideal home would be on the calm/quiet side. She really loves walks, so if you like walking or hiking in areas with low traffic and noise...she would love to be your hiking partner! She will need someone that isn't scared to advocate for her...meaning that you will need to be able to tell people, "Hey, please give her some space, she's shy." ...or put her in a crate with something yummy if you're having people over and you feel she might not be comfortable. Someone that is willing to always put Ghetti's feelings and best interest first, so that she can continue to learn to trust the world would be amazing! She is not a dog park dog nor would she enjoy outings with people everywhere. Some of her favorite things include: walks in the woods, food, SNUGGLES, treat puzzles and confidence building games, couch potato-ing and car rides. She does well in her crate and hasn't had any potty training issues. If you think you can be an advocate to protect her and her feelings and love her little hippo self, SHE WILL GIVE YOU THAT LOVE BACK TENFOLD! She is special and deserves someone special...reach out if you think that someone special is you!  ##1541407##
