Story
Note from La Porte Shelter before transfer in: Fraya is a young, happy girl with lots of love and personality to share! At just 1 year old, Fraya still has that fun, playful energy while also having a sweet and affectionate side. She enjoys being part of the action, whether that means going for walks, playing outside, splashing in water, or settling in for cuddle time. Good with: Kids 5+, teens, adults, and seniors. Home style: Can do well in both active and calm homes. Dog notes: Has done well with large and small dogs, male and female, though she can be slightly dominant. Loves: Walks, runs, cuddles, and water play. Training: Knows basic skills. Spayed: Yes. Fraya would be a great fit for a family or adopter ready for a fun, affectionate dog who enjoys both adventure and snuggles.

Story
Contrary to the audio, Lyles is not vicious. 😂 He’s actually a goofy, happy-go-lucky guy who is just excited to be included. Lyles has spent most of his life in shelters, passing through multiple organizations before eventually making his way to Lifeline. Despite all that waiting, he still greets each day with enthusiasm and hasn’t lost his love for people. He’s energetic, playful, and has done well with the dogs we’ve introduced him to so far. If your ideal weekend includes hikes, walks, dog-friendly patios, or any kind of adventure, Lyles would love to tag along. What we’d really love, though, is for Lyles to finally experience life as someone’s dog instead of another day in a kennel. Ready to meet Lyles? Apply to adopt him here: https://new.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/LLGC-A-28168 Not ready to adopt? Ask us about taking Lyles on a two-night sleepover. We think he’ll win you over pretty quickly. 💛🐾 Local & Nationwide Adoptions Welcome Local adopters are always welcome and encouraged! Story
Hello! I'm Tucker! I am a big, sweet boy and around a year old. My breed is a little bit of a mystery but maybe I have some Bull Terrier or Hound in me. No matter what my breed is I definitely have some cool colors to my fur! I was found wandering the cold streets but now I'm safe and sound in a loving foster home. I am potty trained, crate trained, and currently working on my manners with my foster dad, I know "Sit"! I am young and large so a home without little kids might be best so that I don't accidentally knock them over. I get along great with other dogs! I am looking for my furever home...maybe you have a spot for me? If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center.   Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $210 (or $270 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.March 7, 2026, 7:09 pm
