She is house trained and good around other pets and children. She needs lots of space to play and run around. Unfortunately paired with our small dog, the dynamic between the two was very difficult, as our smaller puppy could not handle her size.

Gus is an adorable and affectionate Boxer mix who is eager to find his forever home.  He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him!   He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. This handsome boy has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!!   He was about 62 pounds when rescued from the streets, and he is still thin.  We believe he is approximately 2 years old, maybe less.  He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar.  It's so cute to watch! Gus is house-trained and he knows 'sit.'  He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return.  He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too ! Ms. Stormy has been with us for almost a year now- but nothing has dampened this black diamond's spirit. We fear that Ms. Stormy is overlooked because of "black dog syndrome" a phenomenon that is quiet common in shelters. People aren't able to see the sweetness of her features because of her shiny black coat - Ms. Stormy is just as special as any other pup with different colors and despite the fact we are in the year 2025 - people are still apprehensive and superstitious about animals with black coats. Ms. Stormy is someone that will love without apprehension- that wants every stranger to be her friend. She does well with a harness more so than a leash and loves to point things out before you see them. A squirrel about ten feet away? She's there! Stormy is close to our hearts because no matter what - she always has a smile! She loves the outdoors and makes sure she uses the potty away from her food and makes it count when she's outdoors.
