Meet Buddy!! This handsome fella is an extremely sweet and affectionate pup! He is great with other dogs as well as cats and kittens. His foster mom says he is so cute with the kittens in their home. She also says that Buddy listens and minds really well! He knows a few commands and is happily motivated by toys and treats. Buddy is not a chewer! Unless it’s a dog toy, because he loves his toys!! He’s not a big barker either and sleeps through the night. Buddy is neutered, potty trained and kennel trained. He is dang near perfect!! He has such a loving personality and so many great attributes; all he is missing is a family to call his own. Once adopted Buddy will travel via RescueVet private transport (transport cost is $160.00 each) to a location closest to you. Story
Meet Hector! Hello, my Boxer fans, Hector here, and as you can see I’m as handsome as can be. I am a senior gentleman and show some stiffness in my legs, but get around easily. I am a big boy at 75 lbs. My foster mom says I am the best boy because I get along with everyone I meet people, dogs, and cats. I may be a bit much for the little kiddos as I do like to get my face in yours when I’m excited and that might be to much for them. I enjoy my fenced area, not necessary, although keep in mind my size if you need to leash me for potty breaks as I am a strong boy and if I something gets my attention I go for it, so I’m not for the weak on a leash. I do well in a kennel but please make sure it’s big enough for me, I do no harm to anything when left alone to rome freely, I enjoy looking out the window and afternoon naps on the couch. I like to go on car rides too! Foster mom is ready to tell you how wonderful I am! I hope you want to take me home with you! *Hector is being fostered in Marshfield, WI Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Hi everyone! My name is Tucker and I’m a brindle beauty. I’m looking for my furever family, so if you’re looking for an active family dog, keep reading! I’m almost a year old and my energy level shows it! Do you like to go hikes and swim in lakes?? Or even daily walks and an intense game of fetch—I’m your boy! As long as there’s toys, I’m happy. If there’s water—I’m even happier! Take a look at my DNA results too, no wonder I’m so cute! I’m good with other dogs, they’re fun to play with…I haven’t met any cats, but that can be arranged. Kids are great too—just remember I’m #60 of energy and I might accidentally knock the littles ones down. Otherwise I’m ready to go to my new home, I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, potty trained and kennel trained. All I’m waiting for is a family and a couch to cuddle up on!! Apply for me today!! Story
Delilah May is an adorable, six month old, Boxer puppy mix. She is about 40 lbs and all legs! She has big Boxer energy and loves to play fetch, go on walks, and is a great running partner (She's been clocked at an 8 minute mile!). She is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping her continue her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. She would love a larger doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep her from getting bored. Delilah is very much a puppy and could accidentally knock over young children and smaller dogs with her playfulness. Children over 10 years old preferred. Delilah is house trained and crate trained. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this adorable bundle of joy and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Delilah is located in Huntsville, AL. With transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

These pups are in Slinger, Wisconsin too!

Story
·Intake Reason: Stray·Weight: 65 lbs Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Can be selective; Likely best with females ·Kids: Unknown ·Personality: IntelligentHi there, my name is Smith; I came into WCHS as a stray, so Smith may be an alias. I have an adventurous spirit and would love to accompany you on long hikes and explore; I happen to be the owner of a spectacular schnoz. I am an active boy who will need plenty of exercise, both physical and mental. I am a tad reactive when I am on a leash or otherwise contained and I see another dog because I feel vulnerable. When I go on walks with volunteers, I have been practicing staying calm and focusing on my person rather than any passing dog. I try and follow the cues I am given like ‘sit' or play the find-it game and get caught up in searching for tasty morsels tossed onto the ground. I do much better when I am off-leash and have been playing with other pooches in some playgroups at the shelter. It is much better for me to have slow and proper introductions to other dogs so I do not think I would like the chaos of a dog park. The folks at WCHS could give you some great tips about the type of polite dog that could be my friend and how to introduce us. I thoroughly enjoy playing with toys and running around with humans. I invented a game called chase-me-chase-me where I run after a toy you toss and then we both run around and chase and jump and play. I am polite with people and allow you to take the toy back and toss it again to continue the game; it is a hoot. I am an affectionate boy and really enjoy snuggles, soft pats and tender scratches; spending time with my peeps is one of my favorite activities. I think I am quite handsome and promise to be a loyal companion forever. I would love to train with you using patient and positive techniques to learn obedience and exquisite manners so I am welcome anywhere we go; it would be great to be your fun-loving sidekick. I hope you stop by to meet me in person; we can get to know each other is a room or play in the courtyard and have a wonderful time together.#2

Story
Howdy, my name is Dallas and I am a fun-loving guy. I lived with a very nice family most of my life; I had some kids to play with, went to dog parks, had a fenced yard to play in and learned life skills like housetraining; I even lived with a couple kitties and was friendly to them. When I started to protect the furniture from my young masters, it caused some disruption in the home and I came to WCHS to find a new place to live. I was respectful of my person's things and had the luxury of roaming free when I was alone. I must confess that I am not a fan of crates and find them quite confining. At the shelter I am learning to be more comfortable in a crate because I have a soft-sided crate in my kennel that I can go into and out of whenever I want to. When I get to my new home, I would be willing to continue practicing with a crate; maybe you could take the door off one and make it available to me. A cozy blanket and some fun toys might make it inviting such that I could come and go as I please and become more comfortable hanging out in a crate. I am hoping for a calm assertive leader who will set some boundaries in a patient and positive manner because I am a sensitive lad who just needs guidance. A while back I lived with a Lab and also did well with a Ridgeback at my dog sitter's place; I have also been enjoying participating in the playgroups at WCHS. When I am around other pooches I would appreciate if no food or resources like bones are in the area because I prefer to enjoy those things in private. Speaking of eating, I would rather not use metal bowls; I find the racket they can make very unnerving. Perhaps a plastic or ceramic bowl would be an option; I could even enjoy my meals using a foraging mat to make it a fun and mentally engaging activity. In my previous home I had learned to sit by the door and whine when I needed to use the outdoor facilities. When I come into my new home it would be wise for me to have plenty of opportunities to get outside until we learn each other's signals and routines. I have been described as friendly, affectionate, playful and calm; I enjoy a rousing game of tug and think bubbles are wonderfully entertaining. I am a young lad who needs plenty of exercise to stay happy and healthy; I think going for walks is a spectacular way to explore and spend time with my person. Stop by to meet me in person because I think you will agree that I am 74 pounds of stupendous.#1

Story
Howdy, my name is Maverick and I would love to be your best little buddy. A while back I was a stray at MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) and was adopted by a very nice family. I apparently made my person sneeze and they discovered they were allergic to me so I came to WCHS to find a new home. I used to live with a Lab and did well; I also enjoy romping with a bunch of the other dogs in the playgroups at the shelter. I do not have any experience with children or kitties. I am a friendly boy who really enjoys the walks I have been taking; I would love a long walk or hike each day. I get so excited by all the wonderful sights and sounds; I must confess that I pull a bit, so perhaps we can practice polite leash walking. I am playful and active; chasing toys and tossing them about is a fun thing to do. I also like to play fetch. I am an outgoing lad and would enjoy accompanying you on many adventures; I think car rides are fun. In my previous home I was comfortable in a crate when I had to be by myself; it was my private cozy little den where I could relax and snooze until my person got home. I had been working on house-training and was doing pretty well but was not quite 100% yet. I have not really developed a signal just yet, so maybe we can work on that. When I first come into my new home it would be wise to give me plenty of opportunities to go outside to use the facilities and when I do my business, if we threw a party with lots of yummy treats and praise, I should start to connect the dots. I am a cheerful guy with a tail that never stops. I already know the cues for ‘sit' and ‘crate' and am confident that I could learn many more human words from you. I am a smart dude and think it would be a blast to take some classes with you so I could develop all sorts of new skills; I know with you by my side I could do almost anything. I am 49 pounds of sweetness and affection; a lap-lover looking forward to many evenings filled with snuggles and tender scratches after a fun-filled day of togetherness. I know we can make a fabulous team; I will work hard to make you proud and be your BFF. Stop by to meet me in person; let's play with some toys and perhaps a rousing game of fetch and start our life together.#1
