Story
What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. LAMAREY lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board. Transport is an additional $185.

Story
1 year old Neutered male 40 lbs. Smart, loving, and loyal but shows "stranger danger" Gets along with other dogs Looking for a home with children 10 and up No known experience with cats House trained I'm a super sweet and affectionate young guy who gets along great with other dogs—I even went to doggy daycare! I'm full of energy and love playing tug-of-war, and when it's time to sleep, I like to snuggle up in bed with my people. Car rides and vet visits are no problem for me. I'm incredibly smart and know a bunch of commands like sit, down, touch, give paw, walk with me, place, wait, and spin. I'm very treat-motivated and eager to learn more. I'm potty trained and even know how to ring bells to go outside! I bond strongly with my people and am loyal to a fault. While I can be protective of my home and have some "stranger danger" issues, I'm a sweetheart who will be an amazing companion to someone willing to work with me on my trust issues. Let's tackle this together and become the best of friends! Thanks to a generous sponsor I have a reduced adoption fee! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.July 13, 2024, 8:32 pm

Story
Meet Molly Moo! Hi new friends, I’m so excited to tell you about myself. My name is Molly Moo and I am a goofy, energetic, senior 50 lb boxer that loves both cuddles and being playful! I enjoy going on walk and running in my foster’s yard but I’m also content to relax and lounge after. I am dog friendly, but would do best in a home that has dogs of equal size and activity level. While I love meeting new people, I would be most successful in a home that did not include small children. I have great house manners and do best on going potty outside when on a consistent schedule. Not to brag, but I also settle well in my kennel. Since I am friendly and have a medium activity level it may surprise you to learn that I’m a recent tripod! I was found as a stray and it is believed that I was hit by a car. Unfortunately the doctors were unable to save my “arm” but it does not affect my energy or happiness. I’m still loving and active and ready for belly rubs :) I’m so excited about finding a family that makes me loved so I can love you right back twice as much. If you are ready for a boxer who is ready for some fun followed by a lounge look no further than me! *Molly Moo is being fostered in Delavan, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
Hi everyone! My name is Tucker and I’m a brindle beauty. I’m looking for my furever family, so if you’re looking for an active family dog, keep reading! I’m almost a year old and my energy level shows it! Do you like to go hikes and swim in lakes?? Or even daily walks and an intense game of fetch—I’m your boy! As long as there’s toys, I’m happy. If there’s water—I’m even happier! Take a look at my DNA results too, no wonder I’m so cute! I’m good with other dogs, they’re fun to play with…I haven’t met any cats, but that can be arranged. Kids are great too—just remember I’m #60 of energy and I might accidentally knock the littles ones down. Otherwise I’m ready to go to my new home, I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, potty trained and kennel trained. All I’m waiting for is a family and a couch to cuddle up on!! Apply for me today!! Adoption fee:$250 https://www.cognitoforms.com/TinyPawsSmallDogRescue1/AdoptionApplication

Story
·Intake Reason: Transfer from MADACC·Weight: Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: Unknown ·Personality: ActiveGreetings, my name is Freya; that name means ‘lady' and I am hoping to be your precious little lady. When I was a young and crazy pup, I came to WCHS from MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) where I was a stray. I was adopted and lived with a person for about 6 months. There were a couple other pooches in my home and we got along fine and had fun when food or goodies like bones were not around. But if we were in the same room during mealtime, tensions got high and I felt I had to guard my goods. In order to keep peace in the house, my people decided it was best for me to come back to WCHS to find a home that might be a better fit for me. I am fine sharing valuable resources with people, just not other canines; this girl simply appreciates a little privacy when I am eating. I am a friendly and affectionate gal who may just fit on your lap since I weigh only 58 pounds; who wouldn't love extended snuggle sessions. In my previous home I was comfortable in a crate when I was alone so that I did not have to manage the whole house by myself; I could rest and relax in my comfy cozy little den. At bedtime, though, I got to share the bed with my person and that was fabulous. In my previous home I never had to develop a signal to let my person know I had to go outside because I was on a consistent and regular schedule. I have good house-training skills but still think it would be wise to give me plenty of opportunities to get outside until I understand the household routine; maybe I could even work on a nifty signal. I am an active lass who enjoys playing fetch and had a great time romping in my fenced yard. I do like to play with other pooches (as long as there is no food around); my mates do need to understand that I am a high-octane rough player who likes to have fun. I love car rides, Jollyballs and kiddie pools to splash around in on warm summer days. I am smart and like to learn; I already know the cues for ‘sit', ‘stay', ‘place/bed' and ‘gentle'. It would be lovely if we could take some classes together; perhaps we can practice obedience, rally, nose work, dog parkour or fun canine sports. I hope you stop by to make my acquaintance because I would love to meet you and start down the path of life together.#2

Story
·Intake Reason: Surrendered owner passed away; Adopted for 1 month & returned due to aggression towards a friend's dog·Weight: 65 lbs.WCHS has observed that Cocoa loves people very much but can sometimes be possessive of her human. What does that mean? It means Cocoa would do best in a single person's home where she can have her person all to herself. When visitors arrive, maintaining Cocoa's best behavior can be easily managed. WCHS will include a free consultation to help learn this management!Known with:·Cats: lived with a 15 yr old neutered male·Dogs: Previously lived with 5 yr old neutered male APBTx and plays in WCHS playgroups well; Would do best as the only dog in the home.·Kids: Unknown·Personality: AffectionateGreetings, my name is Cocoa and I am a friend to all. I had a lovely life with a person for a couple of years where I lived with my good buddy, Ranger, and even a senior kitty-cat. Unfortunately, my person passed away so the whole gang came to WCHS to search for a new home. I used to have a great time playing with Ranger but he recently found his new forever home; I adore him so I am very happy for him. I also love to go on walks and explore the fabulous world around us. I do need a little practice with polite leash walking because I get so happy and excited that I pull a bit. When it comes to manners, I was so polite and respectful of my person's things that I was allowed to roam freely about the house when I was alone. Although I had a comfy pet bed in my previous home, I had the opportunity to sleep with my human in their bed and that was grand. I am an affectionate lovebug so cuddling all night long was quite a treat. In my previous home I knew to go to the door and whine a bit to ask to go outside. When I get to my new home, we will need to figure out each other's signals and routines; until then I will need plenty of opportunities to go outside to use the facilities. I have been described as friendly, playful, quiet and gentle; I am a big fan of car rides and enjoy a rousing game of fetch. I am a wiggle-butt with loads of love to give and I promise to be loyal to you forever. Stop by and ask to meet Cocoa, I think we will have a magnificent life together.#1

· Intake Reason: surrendered; wasn't good w/ young kidsKnown with:· Cats: unknown· Dogs: Does well in WCHS playgroups· Kids: lived with 11, 14, & 16 yr old, good with older two; not a fan of younger kids· Personality: CUTE, playful and outgoing - loves playing tugHi, my name is Bertha; that name has a Germanic origin and means the ‘bright one'. I know one thing; I was smart enough to travel from an over-crowded shelter in Louisiana just to meet you, so I must be pretty bright. I am a friendly gal who enjoys being around people; I am quite a love-bug. I weigh about 75 pounds, so I may be a skosh too big for your lap but I would love to have a place at your side during our cuddle sessions. I do like to stay active so it would be lovely for us to take a nice long walk each day; that would be a great way for us bond and explore all the wonders of nature together. Perhaps we can take some classes so I could learn new skills and give my beautiful brain a workout; I think I would respond nicely to patient and positive training techniques. If you are looking for a sweet and sensitive girl, I believe your search may be over because you have found me; I know I can bring sunshine and luminescence to your family. I hope you stop by to meet me so we can spend some time getting acquainted and you can experience how much fun I am. #1
