Story
Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. To meet Rin, please visit our webpage to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site appointment. https://www.ggohinc.com/adoption-process-cats

Story
If you'd like to meet Glamour, please go to our website and review our adoption policies and procedures and to schedule an on-site visit. www.ggohinc.com Glamour is one of our more shy cats here at GGOH. She is very sweet and just needs someone who has time, patience, and love to give. She is not a cat that is going to meet you at the door when you come for a visit, but she will be in the background watching you, waiting to see if you might notice her. She allows a slow hand and a gentle touch. We know that this beautiful girl has lots of warmth and love to give if someone would just take a chance on her and give her consistent attention and love. We do our best here at the rescue to give all of our pets tons of love, but it will never compare to the love that an owner can give. Please consider this sweetheart - we know she's not for everyone, but maybe, just maybe, she's for you. Glamour's approx. DOB is 10/1/2020.

Story
Caribou is a beautiful calico/tabby mix who was picked up off the side of a freeway with her two kittens. The finder took Caribou to MNSnap as a TNR cat but after seeing how good she was with her kittens and the potential she had to becoming a house cat/pet, the finder reached out to us to take her rather than return her to where she was found. She has been very shy and a bit nervous since she joined us but we know she has great potential if someone would just give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and safe. We know that she is not the type of cat that everyone is looking for as many want instant gratification cats but we whole-heartedly believe that her person is out there somewhere and without us posting her story, that person may never be found. If you have an open heart and a desire to make a difference in a cat's life, maybe Caribou is the one for you - it's worth a visit to at least meet her, right? Caribou's DOB is approx. 6/1/18. Her ear tip that you see in her profile pics is the result of her spay at MNSnap. Presently, we are recommending older children only as a match for Caribou as little ones would not know how to read her signs. Dogs are an unknown. And, as you can see in one of her pics, she does fabulously with other cats. If you'd like to meet Caribou, please visit our website to schedule a visitation. www.ggohinc.com.

Story
If you'd like to meet Poppy, we ask that you visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and schedule an on-site appointment. Walk-in hours are also available certain days of the week if that is more convenient for you - these days are also posted on our website. www.ggohinc.com Poppy came to us from a hoarding case with extreme/severe malnutrition - she weighed 3.5lbs at intake, at just around a year old. The pain she must have endured is unimaginable. But through it all, she has been nothing short of amazing - she is the gentlest, sweetest soul. She doesn't fight for food or survival as you would expect her to - she's just living her best life in a safe, nurturing environment and is thriving, showing us just how perfect she truly is. She is still small, but she is gaining weight. Her fur is returning to normal. She's happy. And she's ready to find her forever home and family! Poppy gets along great with other cats/kittens and is gentle enough to be with kids of all ages. Dogs are an unknown but we don't anticipate any issues given the personality she has shown us while here. If you're ready to welcome a new family member into your life, come meet her. We think you'll be as smitten with her as we are. Poppy has an approx. DOB of 1/2/2025.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Mellie is a resilient little feline who has braved the harsh Minnesota winters as a stray, and now she's ready to embrace the warmth and comfort of a loving home. This adorable "fluffy potato" is seeking a quiet sanctuary where she can truly blossom. Mellie thrives in a peaceful environment, making her the perfect companion for a calm household, ideally without children or other pets. She cherishes her quiet time with her humans, offering endless affection in return. While not a high-energy cat, Mellie enjoys playtime, engaging in short bursts before settling down for a well-deserved nap. Prepare for constant companionship, as Mellie's favorite pastime is receiving pets! She'll gracefully roll around like a "roly-poly," inviting belly rubs and thoroughly enjoying chin scratches. This gentle, shy girl may take a little time to adjust to a new space, but with patience and love, her goofy and affectionate side will undoubtedly shine through. Mellie communicates through delightful purrs and charming little grunts – she's not much of a meower! Her days revolve around delicious meals, invigorating playtime with her beloved long chew toys and string toys, and indulgent grooming sessions before her naps. Her absolute favorite moments are spent receiving abundant pets and showering her humans with affection, often expressed by rolling upside down and proudly displaying her belly for rubs. If you're seeking a devoted, quiet, and incredibly sweet companion to fill your home with warmth and soft purrs, Mellie is eagerly waiting to become your cherished family member. Give this deserving "little potato" the loving home she's always dreamed of! Mellie is from a stray surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
