About Me Hi there! I’m one of the newest residents at The PURRfect Match Cat Adoption Center, and I’m still settling into all the new sights, sounds, and routines around here. Because I just arrived, my friends at The Rescue Crew are still getting to know my personality, favorite things, and what kind of home will help me thrive best. For now, I’ll likely be spending my days relaxing and acclimating in a cozy kitty condo while I take everything in at my own pace. Big changes can be a little overwhelming at first, so kind voices, gentle pets, and patient humans help me feel safer and more confident each day. Meet Dotty! <3 Dotty and her mom, Delilah, were found abandoned at a farm and turned over to Rescue. Dotty, a beautiful calico, was born around May 2020. She is quiet, affectionate on her terms with trusted people, and avoidant of strangers. Dotty enjoys window watching and playing with wand toys as long as there is no competition. She is on the passive side and really enjoys Delilah’s companionship. Dotty likes a little bit of petting and brushing. She does not like being picked up and prefers to sit near you. She gets along with most cats. Dotty has not met dogs, nor kids under age nine, but if they are gentle and quiet she will be fine. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. She loves to play, chase the laser, and run on a wheel. She is gentle and sweet. She's great with children! Slow introductions to other cats is recommended but once she feels safe in their presence, she really doesn't pay them too much attention - she's more of a people cat than a cat's cat. Lulu would love to meet you! She has an approximate DOB of 1/27/24.

She is very sweet and just needs someone who has time, patience, and love to give. She is not a cat that is going to meet you at the door when you come for a visit, but she will be in the background watching you, waiting to see if you might notice her. She allows a slow hand and a gentle touch. We know that this beautiful girl has lots of warmth and love to give if someone would just take a chance on her and give her consistent attention and love. We do our best here at the rescue to give all of our pets tons of love, but it will never compare to the love that an owner can give. Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. Meet Locke – A Special Boy Looking for a Special Home Locke is a 9–10 month old sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This goofy, playful guy has been through more than most in his life, but you’d never know it—he’s full of love, energy, and snuggles. Locke is FeLV positive (Feline Leukemia Virus), which can sound scary at first, but we encourage anyone interested to do their own research. There’s a lot of misinformation out there, and his most recent bloodwork shows that with a safe indoor environment and proper care, he has the potential to live a long, happy life just like any other cat. Here’s what makes Locke amazing: - **Funny and playful** – he’s always ready to chase a toy or goof around - **Super cuddly** – with humans and even dogs! He absolutely loves to snuggle - **Food motivated** – mealtime is his favorite time - **Resilient and loving** – despite everything he’s been through, his heart is wide open Due to his FeLV+ status, Locke hasn’t been around other cats while in rescue, but he’s shown he can be great with dog friends! He was with cats up until he was brought into rescue at 5 months old, and if he wasn’t FeLV+, likely would have been a bonded pair with another cat he came in with who was negative. He’s ready to find his forever person or family who will give him the love and safety he deserves.
