She loves to play, chase the laser, and run on a wheel. She is gentle and sweet. She's great with children! Slow introductions to other cats is recommended but once she feels safe in their presence, she really doesn't pay them too much attention - she's more of a people cat than a cat's cat. Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. The pain she must have endured is unimaginable. But through it all, she has been nothing short of amazing - she is the gentlest, sweetest soul. She doesn't fight for food or survival as you would expect her to - she's just living her best life in a safe, nurturing environment and is thriving, showing us just how perfect she truly is. She is still small, but she is gaining weight. Her fur is returning to normal. She's happy. And she's ready to find her forever home and family! Poppy gets along great with other cats/kittens and is gentle enough to be with kids of all ages. Dogs are an unknown but we don't anticipate any issues given the personality she has shown us while here. If you're ready to welcome a new family member into your life, come meet her. Hi - I received ‘Mochi’ as a recent gift. I know I shouldn’t have a kitten due to my allergies and I desperately tried to make it work out because she is so cute. But unfortunately, it doesn’t work out. She is a very active kitten and loves to play. She even runs to the door when the doorbell rings. She likes to climb everything and likes to sit in the window. Mochi is 6 months old and loves everyone. I haven’t met anyone that she doesn’t like. She’s so full of energy and also likes to cuddle once she settles down. I’m looking for a loving home with a family that will provide her attention and play with her as much as possible.

Hazel is a beautiful calico with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s incredibly affectionate, playful, and loves being part of her person’s daily life. Hazel thrives in a calm environment where she can be the center of attention and truly bond with her owner. Our only reason for needing to rehome her is because she does not get along with our resident cat. She will do best in a single pet home. This adorable girl is one of our social media kitties - her name is Google. She's quiet and a bit shy, but she sure is a sweetie pie. This family of kitties have a bit of a sad story on how they came to be with us here at GGOH - they were left in a box at the end of a farmer's driveway with their momma. Momma got spooked and jumped out of the box and was hit and killed by an oncoming car. The farmer was witness to this but there was nothing he could do as he couldn't get to them fast enough. So here they were, four homeless and motherless kittens in need of help. What were we to do - we immediately said "yes, get them here as soon as you can". It's terrible that such a senseless thing had to happen but we can't dwell too much on their past because we need to focus on their future - a future that is bright and full of love and fun. That's really all we could ask for, for our little darling, Google - and we she think she absolutely deserves it! As stated, Google is a bit shy but she can be picked up and held. She is so trusting of us but yet, she still needs some reassurance that we are not going to do her harm. When you first pick her up, she buries her little head into your hand - it's adorable, yet makes your heart melt to know she just wants to feel safe. Are you the one that will change her world? He is one gorgeous kitty! He's still a little nervous in his new setting but he is coming around quickly. He doesn't hide, hiss or swat, he's just taking it all in slowly and we can certainly understand that - new is sometimes scary but he's received a big welcome from all of the kitties in his room and he's taking their lead. Before you know it, this handsome fella will be coming to you for pets rather than the other way around. If you're looking for Mr. Handsome and are willing to give him some time to adjust to all things new to him, he might just be your perfect match. He does great with other cats; dogs are an unknown. Stout has an approximate DOB of 10/27/21.

Ernie joined the GGOH family after we were contacted by another rescue that was working on a farm cat over-population project - with so many in need, we couldn't say "no". Ernie is a shy fella, but gentle and receptive to human attention - what he needs most is a person/family that can be consistent with their interactions with him yet give him time and space (on his terms) to adjust to a new home and environment. Ernie hasn't really been around children as he tends to watch visitors from a distance and is often snuggled into his little hut, but with his gentle nature, we suspect he would do fine with children over the age of 10. Well-behaved dogs don't seem to phase Ernie and is totally fine with other cats. Burt came to GGOH with his siblings, Burt, Rita & Jake. Ernie's DOB is approx. 3/24/2020.
