Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. The pain she must have endured is unimaginable. But through it all, she has been nothing short of amazing - she is the gentlest, sweetest soul. She doesn't fight for food or survival as you would expect her to - she's just living her best life in a safe, nurturing environment and is thriving, showing us just how perfect she truly is. She is still small, but she is gaining weight. Her fur is returning to normal. She's happy. And she's ready to find her forever home and family! Poppy gets along great with other cats/kittens and is gentle enough to be with kids of all ages. Hi - I received ‘Mochi’ as a recent gift. I know I shouldn’t have a kitten due to my allergies and I desperately tried to make it work out because she is so cute. But unfortunately, it doesn’t work out. She is a very active kitten and loves to play. She even runs to the door when the doorbell rings. She likes to climb everything and likes to sit in the window. Mochi is 6 months old and loves everyone. I haven’t met anyone that she doesn’t like. She’s so full of energy and also likes to cuddle once she settles down. I’m looking for a loving home with a family that will provide her attention and play with her as much as possible.

Breadstick was born in May 2022 and is a beautiful, independent girl who prefers a calm, quiet environment. She would likely do best in a home without young children or other pets and with someone who understands and appreciates cats with more independent personalities. She is healthy, spayed, and litter box trained, and she will come with her litter box and supplies. Due to an upcoming move, I’m unfortunately not able to keep her. There were several cats in the area that were making their presence known so we assume they were strays that had wandered in from a local colony. Mercedes is friendly but shy and needs an adopter who is willing to work with him at his pace and not be frustrated easily if he takes more time to come out of his shell than expected (the adopter's expectations, not ours). We know that Mercedes will need time, love, and patience. We also know that Mercedes needs a kitty companion as that will ease his transition into a new home so he either needs to go to a home with another cat that will accept him or, be adopted with another cat from us that he is accustomed to. We think Mercedes would do fine in a home with dogs - well behaved dogs, not ones who like to chase kitties. We also believe he would do fine with older children who can understand his need to go slow (at least at first), but toddlers might be too much for him. Mercedes really is a sweet young fella. This adorable girl is one of our social media kitties - her name is Google. She's quiet and a bit shy, but she sure is a sweetie pie. This family of kitties have a bit of a sad story on how they came to be with us here at GGOH - they were left in a box at the end of a farmer's driveway with their momma. Momma got spooked and jumped out of the box and was hit and killed by an oncoming car. The farmer was witness to this but there was nothing he could do as he couldn't get to them fast enough. So here they were, four homeless and motherless kittens in need of help. What were we to do - we immediately said "yes, get them here as soon as you can". It's terrible that such a senseless thing had to happen but we can't dwell too much on their past because we need to focus on their future - a future that is bright and full of love and fun. That's really all we could ask for, for our little darling, Google - and we she think she absolutely deserves it! As stated, Google is a bit shy but she can be picked up and held. She is so trusting of us but yet, she still needs some reassurance that we are not going to do her harm. When you first pick her up, she buries her little head into your hand - it's adorable, yet makes your heart melt to know she just wants to feel safe. Are you the one that will change her world? He is one gorgeous kitty! He's still a little nervous in his new setting but he is coming around quickly. He doesn't hide, hiss or swat, he's just taking it all in slowly and we can certainly understand that - new is sometimes scary but he's received a big welcome from all of the kitties in his room and he's taking their lead. Before you know it, this handsome fella will be coming to you for pets rather than the other way around.
