Ginger is a shy, sweet, and gentle cat who does best in a quiet home. She takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once she’s comfortable she’s very affectionate. She gets along well with other cats and would likely enjoy having a feline companion. She loves cozy spots to nap and prefers a calm environment. Meet Dotty! <3 Dotty and her mom, Delilah, were found abandoned at a farm and turned over to Rescue. Dotty, a beautiful calico, was born around May 2020. She is quiet, affectionate on her terms with trusted people, and avoidant of strangers. Dotty enjoys window watching and playing with wand toys as long as there is no competition. She is on the passive side and really enjoys Delilah’s companionship. Dotty likes a little bit of petting and brushing. She does not like being picked up and prefers to sit near you. She gets along with most cats. Dotty has not met dogs, nor kids under age nine, but if they are gentle and quiet she will be fine. Meet Summer! This affectionate, easy-going, and confident calico/torby was born in April 2024. When you come home you’ll find Summer watching for you at the window. She will greet you at the door, entwine around your legs, then follow you around the house. Summer tolerates being picked up and held upright plus gives kitty kisses. When you are sitting, she often jumps into your lap or lets you place her there. Summer will stay for short sessions of petting or brushing, then she is off to investigate. Sometimes she just likes to sit near you. Summer likes to have a perch high enough to be able to watch wildlife out the window. She plays by herself with cat toys and interactively with wand toys. She is quiet until meal times when she lets you know you to hurry. Summer is on the dominate side with most cats. She hasn’t met dogs and if kids are respectful plus gentle, she should do fine with them. She eats a prescription diet of Biome or i/d cat food. Toni and Gumdrop are two affectionate kittens looking for their forever home!These two are the dynamic duo you didn’t know you needed! Toni is a 6 month old, energetic grey kitten that likes to be around her human friends. Gumdrop is an 11 month old calico with lots of love to give! Toni’s day consists of playing, sleeping, and rough housing with Gumdrop. They are very close and make a perfect pair! Gumdrop’s hind legs are limited with running and jumping and she deals with daily sneezing. But this won’t stop her from climbing stairs and getting around just fine — she is healthy in all other respects! When it’s time for a rest, these two will happily settle down for a nap to recharge.Toni and Gumdrop currently live in a foster home with two adults. Hadley is a strikingly beautiful tuxedo cat with a story that reflects both resilience and the importance of understanding animal boundaries. Hadley came to us after experiencing a highly stressful and overwhelming situation in her previous home. She was placed in circumstances far beyond what any cat should have to navigate, and in that environment she became frightened and reactive as a way of protecting herself. In rescue, she has shown us something very important: Hadley is not a “general placement” cat. She is an individual who requires a very specific kind of home and a very intentional kind of person. What we know about Hadley today is that she can be a wonderful companion when she feels safe, but she has very clear limits around handling, change, and especially other animals. Because of her history and her responses under stress, she must go to a strictly adult-only home with no children and absolutely no other pets—no exceptions. She needs an environment where she will not be asked to adapt to other animals or unpredictable social situations. Hadley’s future adopter will need to deeply respect her autonomy. She is not a cat who should be pushed for affection or forced into interaction. Instead, she thrives with calm presence, patience, and allowing her to choose the pace and level of engagement. Her person will need to understand feline body language, respect her boundaries at all times, and accept that trust with her will be earned slowly, on her terms.
