Meet Dotty! <3 Dotty and her mom, Delilah, were found abandoned at a farm and turned over to Rescue. Dotty, a beautiful calico, was born around May 2020. She is quiet, affectionate on her terms with trusted people, and avoidant of strangers. Dotty enjoys window watching and playing with wand toys as long as there is no competition. She is on the passive side and really enjoys Delilah’s companionship. Dotty likes a little bit of petting and brushing. She does not like being picked up and prefers to sit near you. She gets along with most cats. Dotty has not met dogs, nor kids under age nine, but if they are gentle and quiet she will be fine. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. She loves to play, chase the laser, and run on a wheel. She is gentle and sweet. She's great with children! Slow introductions to other cats is recommended but once she feels safe in their presence, she really doesn't pay them too much attention - she's more of a people cat than a cat's cat. She is very sweet and just needs someone who has time, patience, and love to give. She is not a cat that is going to meet you at the door when you come for a visit, but she will be in the background watching you, waiting to see if you might notice her. She allows a slow hand and a gentle touch. We know that this beautiful girl has lots of warmth and love to give if someone would just take a chance on her and give her consistent attention and love. We do our best here at the rescue to give all of our pets tons of love, but it will never compare to the love that an owner can give. Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. While Rin is very cat friendly, she is still quite reserved around humans - when meeting her, she generally will let you near her, but will move away if you attempt to pet her. She's worth the effort to get to know and has great potential, but it will take time for her to trust someone new. If you have the willingness to try and let her adjust at her own pace, she might be a great fit for you. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. As Rin is still quite people reserved, we recommend older children only for her as youngsters often do not understand a cat's signals and Rin would not be too happy with a child rushing at her. About Me Hi there… I’m David. And yes, I know I’m handsome. I try not to let it go to my head though. I’m a sweet, quiet little guy who arrived at The PURRfect Match earlier this May, and while I can be a bit shy when meeting new people, it doesn’t take long before my true personality starts to shine. Give me a little patience, a calm voice, and some gentle pets, and before you know it I’ll be rolling onto my back asking for more attention — maybe even a belly rub or two if you’re lucky. That’s kind of my thing, actually. Once I trust you, I become a total softie. I love affection, enjoy being near my people, and have mastered the art of the “cute belly flop” to request extra rubbins. I’m not loud or demanding about it though — I’m more of a quiet companion who just enjoys feeling safe, loved, and included. I also have refined culinary tastes. While some cats go wild for wet food, I personally prefer dry food. Crunchy snacks? Now we’re talking. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate young cat who just needs a little time to bloom into your loyal cuddle buddy, I think we should meet.
