Story
Violin is a beautiful cat who has had a tough past. She was found in a field with her mom and sisters. The sisters showed a lot of promise from the start. Violin thought she might want to stay as a community cat with her mom. But after some time in the right foster home, she started to turn around. She went through a de-pickling process and has come out significantly less briny. Violin will still need a cat-savvy home and a patient adopter, but you will be wonderfully rewarded in time. She does well with other cats who can hold their own against her strong personality. She may overpower more submissive cats. Violin would be frightened of young children. She could probably hold her own with a cat-savvy dog. Violin is about a year old, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is ready to add to your sweet symphony. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
My name is Abby, and I would like to introduce you to my fabulous, I mean FABULOUS self. I am a gorgeous 9-year-old supermodel looking for a new family to fawn over me. Once you see how gorgeous I am (just ask my foster mom, she seriously will not stop taking pictures of me!) I am sure you will understand why I would love a family of my own without other cats (or dogs, um, EEW!). Because let’s face it, no other cat can compare to me! I am a reserved girl and super low maintenance. I love hanging out in my cat cave but most any hidey hole will do! I also enjoy spending time with my foster mom; she gives excellent belly rubs! I don’t really play with toys. I am far too mature for that nonsense. The only thing I REALLY ask for is a big litter box. The bigger the better! Go big or go home I always say! Oh wait, I do ask for one more thing. I have a little bit of a sensitive tummy, but my foster mom has discovered that I do really well on fish. All fish all the time. Ideally tuna. But I can’t have tuna every meal, a girl has to live a little! And well, I AM a cat after all. Please submit an application for me right now. I can’t wait to meet you! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Hi there, I’m Cola—a spunky little tuxedo girl, about 10 months old, with a heart full of love and a spirit that never quits. I was found living in a barn, and at first, my finder and foster mom thought something might be wrong with my eyes. They were right—sort of! An eye specialist confirmed that while I can see changes in light, I can’t really see shapes. But you’d never guess that if you watched me zoom after toys, leap up on the couch, or make a beeline for my food dish. I’ve got everything figured out in my own special way, and I don’t let anything slow me down. I'm not special needs—but I am something really special. I’ll greet you with my sweet meows, purr like a little engine, and love you with my whole heart. I just need someone kind and patient who’ll let me shine. Because I can’t quite keep tabs on other cats around me, I’d prefer to be your one and only fur baby. I can’t watch my back—but I’ll always have yours. Will you be my person? All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi, I'm Billy – your future feline best friend! I’m a handsome orange and white gentleman, about two years old, with a heart as big as my purr. I showed up one day at a kind family’s house, hoping for a place to call home. They gave me food (yum!) and love (double yum!), but they already had two cats and just couldn’t take in one more. It was clear I was longing to be inside, part of the family, so they did the next best thing—they reached out to help me find the home I deserve. I’ve spent time in a multi-cat household and I get along well with my fellow felines. I’m a social guy in my own way—I love being petted, but on my terms. I’ll let you know when it’s cuddle o’clock! I also have a playful streak, especially when there’s a string toy around. (Seriously, bring out the string and watch me go!) I’m looking for a calmer home where I can relax and be myself. Loud noises and little kids can overwhelm me, so I’d do best with adults or older children who understand when I need a little space. In return, I promise to bring fun, companionship, and plenty of charm into your life. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and independent buddy who just wants a second chance at being someone’s favorite cat, I might just be your guy. Could we be a purrfect match? I am fully vetted and litter box trained! Fill out a no obligation cat adoption application today at https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ Love, Billy

Story
Meet Cash – Your Gentle Little Gentleman! 💰🐾 Looking for a cat who’s equal parts sweet, shy, and secretly hilarious? Cash might just be your guy. This dapper gray gentleman (around 7–8 months old) has a soft heart and a playful spirit. Cash may start out a little cautious, but don’t let that fool you — once he decides you’re trustworthy, he’ll be rolling around, chasing toy mice, and showing off his best zoomies like he’s been there forever. Cash is the kind of cat who likes to take things slow at first. He’ll scope out the scene, make sure the vibes are good, and then unleash his inner goofball. He loves wand toys, toy mice, and any excuse to show off his pounce skills — bonus points if you cheer him on. Cash would do best in a calm home where he can continue to grow in confidence and trust. Once he settles in, he’ll reward his people with gentle affection, quiet companionship, and a lifetime of love. He’s great with other cats and would love a feline buddy to help boost his confidence (and maybe share a nap spot or two). If you’re looking for a sweet, tenderhearted young cat who will blossom beautifully with a little patience, Cash is ready to make himself right at home in your heart💸💕! Would you like to meet Cash? Story
Born in March 2025, Joni is equal parts playful spirit and independent thinker — she definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. Joni loves to chase toys, wrestle with her foster buddy Cash (her “brother from another mother”), and explore her world with confidence and curiosity. While she and Cash aren’t bonded, they’re great friends and would love to find a home together — or separately, as long as there’s another playful feline companion to keep her company. Joni is looking for an adopter who appreciates a cat with personality — someone who will celebrate her independent streak while giving her the love, playtime, and space she needs to shine. If you’re looking for a confident, one-of-a-kind kitten with a flair for fun, Joni might just be your perfect match!
