ANNIE IS A COURTESY POST - IF INTERESTED, EMAIL INFO@PETEY&FURENDS.ORG Name: Annie Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 14 years old Best Guess for Breed: Calico Mix Weight: About 4 lbs Lives with and loves: All people (including kids!) Story: Annie is a beautiful, sweet senior Calico who was adopted in September 2025 from the Clarke County Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, our resident cat wasn't happy with the addition to our family, and we are reluctantly looking for a new home where she can be happiest. Annie has stage 2 chronic kidney disease which is being managed with a prescription diet and plenty of hydration (she loves her water fountain!). Chronic kidney disease will inevitably progress, but for now she is otherwise healthy, happy, and very active! Annie supposedly came from a house with other cats but they didn't get along (that's the extent of info the shelter could provide).  Because our resident cat was the dominant cat and aggressor with Annie, it's hard to guess how she would do with another cat. The safest placement would see her in a single-pet home. She has always been gentle with us, but we don't have first-hand experience on interactions with children.  Annie is chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations (September 2025 for all), and has had multiple senior panels performed.  If you think that Annie might be your perfect match, please email info@peteyandfurends.org.January 11, 2026, 10:22 am

Story
Neytiri is a stunning young calico whose beauty runs far deeper than her brilliant patchwork coat. Weighing just 7 pounds, she carries herself with the grace of a feline queen and the quiet wisdom of an old soul. Her gentle nature has a way of soothing those around her—be they human or fellow feline. Recently, Neytiri stepped into motherhood for the very first time, embracing it with extraordinary love and grace. She’s been a fiercely attentive mama: calm, nurturing, and endlessly patient. Watching her care for her kittens is a moving testament to the strength and tenderness that defines her. But motherhood hasn’t dulled her playful spirit. Neytiri still delights in the simple joys of life—chasing after a ribbon, curling up in a sunbeam, or gently nudging her favorite toy across the floor. She’s affectionate without being demanding, wise yet curious, and always quietly attuned to the world around her.   Whether she’s snuggled beside you or softly purring from across the room, Neytiri has a way of bringing peace, comfort, and a little extra magic wherever she goes. She’s not just a cat—she’s a companion, a nurturer, and a soulful presence ready to make a house feel like home. ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 2, 2025, 12:55 pm

Story
Philomenia loves humans and will shower you with affection. She loves to wind in and out of your legs..  Philomenia also enjoys having a human companion to watch her eat (it's a perfect meal mate date, but you have to cover the bill).  She loves to play with toys and will sit beside you for a short time—just make sure not to rub her flanks. Like most cats, she loves treats, and she enjoys sitting on the back of the sofa gazing out the window.  This is the purrfect spot to watch the birds.  You'll often find her waiting patiently outside the bathroom door, respecting your privacy.  Philomenia definitely values her 'me time,' so she would thrive best in a home as the only pet.  This beautiful lady is ready for her forever home.  We hope it will be with you.  To be consisdered for her forever family please contact Critter Cavalry at crittercavalry@comcast.net or text 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.    December 20, 2025, 12:12 am

Story
Clio is a 5.5 year-old Calico we adopted when she was six months old. She's been a great companion through moves and different apartments, and is a cuddly, lazy house cat. Clio has outgrown our fairly small apartment and, more importantly, she and our precocious toddler don't exactly see eye-to-eye, which is why it's time for Clio to find her forever home. She is otherwise very low-maintenance, will play with a wide variety of toys (feather wands, battery-powered chasers etc.). She enjoys her standard dry food and litter, and the occasional treat. She doesn't need medications. She's just looking for her next great owners and home!

Story
Rocky is a super duper sweet boy. He loves pets and spending time with people, whether or not they are strangers! He is a lap cat and very personable. Unfortunately, we cannot keep him as he has started spraying and peeing outside the litter box. We had him checked out medically and he is perfectly fine, but we have a young son who is crawling and do not have the ability to try and retrain Rocky. It breaks our hearts that we have to rehome him but we know that the right person can help him break this habit. He loves other cats, but our other cat has been aggressive towards Rocky lately and that could be contributing to the behavior.

Story
Name: Carrot Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 11 months old (as of 1/20) Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair - Orange and White Weight: About 10 pounds (as of 1/20) Good With: People, and other cats and kittens! Story: Carrot is an adorable domestic short hair kitty, who was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina with his brother Cheeto. Carrot is a happy, sweet kitty. He spends his days playing with his foster family and chasing all the fun toys he has. When he’s done it’s nap time or cuddling with his humans! What my foster says: Carrot is a pretty laid-back kitten who loves all types of toys, but particularly loves string and yarn. He seems to be an agile hunter and likes to play-hunt with any item. He also likes to play hide and seek around the house and once he’s tired out, likes to sleep on the couch. Carrot eats all kinds of foods, uses his litter box well, and loves Churu treats.   Although Carrot is not a lap cat, he enjoys laying down next to you while watching tv and will often come sleep next to you in bed.  A true companion!  The fee to adopt Carrot is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers his neuter, the cost of vaccines appropriate for his age, the collar he’s wearing, and his care in foster. Carrot has been seen by a vet and we are not aware of any health issues. Are you ready to give Carrot the love and attention he deserves? If so, apply today!   January 21, 2026, 8:34 pm
